I'm not sure I have ever met a P4P girl in Thailand who's food for herself, food for her family, a roof over her head or load for her phone really did depended on whether or not I paid her for sex.

I have certainly heard many of them pitch it that way to me. No shortage of that over the years. Why is it that some mongers try to rationalize over paying hookers, many will say she can charge whatever the market will bear, or its my money, ill pay what I want.

Just back from a mid afternoon wander from soi's 1 to 7/1 and from 8 to 2. Lots of closed doors but no problem getting a drink on Sukhunvit itself or on 8. Massage shops? , again some closed, no girls outside others but lights on inside and a few rub and tugs I inquired at were still operating albeit with fewer staff. Oddly both Lolita's and Kasalong were shuttered even though they don't strictly come under the massage shop qualification.

I just walk if they don't take my offer of less. I say 1000 they want 2500 then might go to 1500 even but I stick to 1000 and walk if they don't want it. It could be months before Covid-19 is brought under control. What sort of economic carnage will it cause? How much longer can the bars stay open with trade so bad? I kind of agree and disagree. When it comes to Thai thinking it is just backward as you noted nothing to do with the market. It is like when business is down charging more to make up for it kind like the same thinking now that establishment is closing with zero education in business or budgeting, in general, many just don't get it. I'm not saying guys should undercut them from 2500 to 500 baht sure some would but take something reasonable to make a sacrifice.

Many Thais think we are all rich when we are just like everyone else including Thais, at times in the conversation I joke when I bleed my blood is red just like Thais not green. I hear it all the time when prices go up they say give me more as if it doesn't affect us. Now there are guys like one of my cousins who run around telling every girl that wants to marry him he doesn't have any money yet he is at Starbucks 3 times a day and evening dinners average 2000 baht with these girls which just contradict not having any money!
