Why Thermae when there are plenty of other options?

Lots of girls. Decent selection on most nights. Price is fair. No barfine. No expectation to buy lady drinks. Cheap drinks. Good place to people watch. Good pad ka prao. Very centrally located. Free to walk in. ST rooms upstairs, if needed. Girls are used to weird kinks because of the Japanese, if that is your desire. Hidden gem can be found. Good for a quickie but I wish it opened earlier like at 6 pm.

Downfall. Service can be quite basic but greatly improves if you are a regular and a known face to girls ie. More bargaining power. Girls do not wear skimpy outfits. Too many guys on most nights. Why Thermae when there are plenty of other options?

It is easy to pass through on the way to and from Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza, drinks are normal price not beer bar or go-go bar price, at least 75% of the girls are delighted to be approached and taken for ST by any man of any age and ethnicity (more than 75% now) and at a cost generally 500 baht to 1,500 baht less than taking a girl from a typical beer bar or go-go bar. Often less rough edged girls at that.

Thermae has a lot going for it on all those counts, especially if you are the kind of punter pleased to get standard, basic fare of "lick around the edges, if that, slip on a condom and proceed."

Getting an above average girl there who is new to you and willng to agree upfront to BBFS+CIP for the going rate of, say, 2,000 baht - 2,500 baht is the only real challenge 99% of the punters of the world might face there, as it is throughout Thailand imo. Other than Anal I suppose, if you are into it.

Oh, and if you are a farang with an inflexible fetish for being seen walking out of a bar with the best looking girl in the place or among the top 5% best lookers there, you will be hit with the cold shoulder from among that subgroup in ways you probably never will in practically any other public venue in the country.

Other than that, there is nothing humiliating about passing through Thermae to see if there is a diamond in the rough or an undiscovered gem in the line up. I have found some.

I'd be grateful if anyone could help me out with some updates / information, If anyone is in Bangkok, Pattaya or Phuket I'd really appreciate if you could please let me know about the mongering scenario due to the ongoing virus scare.

1) How crowded is it everywhere on the walking streets of these cities?

2) Are their girls in the Go Go's? Are there crowds at the various clubs?

3) Are all the places open or only some are open?

4) Have these places lost their charm due to the virus?

I am planning on coming to these places and it would help me make a decision if I should continue or postpone my trip.

Regarding Bangkok, the Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy areas are still open but there are far fewer tourists and punters walking around. I am seeing a lot of new and attractive freelancer faces and bodies on the street in the Nana Plaza area, though. Some go-go bars are lively and full of customers, almost the same as before. Not coincidentally imo, the ones that have given ME the best results for getting True GFE/Real Sex are still pretty crowded and popular while the ones that have given me shit or hassle getting Value For my Money are not.

Last night starting out around 10:30PM, places such as Enter, Butterflies, Mandarin and Billboard seemed to be doing fine. Sure, I suppose it could have been simply the fact that there were so few customers in there of any ethnicity in the first place, that even somewhat elderly farangs were now a hot item. But what I experienced last night compared with previous nights definitely supported the theory that much of this cold shoulder for farangs bit with some (not all) Thermae girls is really all about them not wanting to be seen by their more predominant potential customer demographic to be "into" going with a farang customer.

I really had the feeling that I was being invited, not challenged, to approach, get a positive response and an agreement to go with virtually any girl in the place last night, except for maybe 1% of the No Farang holdouts. Now, whether or not any of those hotter Thermae girls would have been agreeable to MY kind of True GFE/Real Sex arrangement is a totally different question and one I did not ask of any of them, not being interested in taking one anyway. I'm guessing not many at all would have gone for that. Yet. But if I had been roaring to take a girl and was the kind of punter who is fine with basic, standard, covered almost everything fare, I don't think all but a handful of Thermae girls would have grimaced and turned away from even the most elderly farang on the hunt last night.

Adjusted for inflation prices are mostly still reasonable, Thai women are still the nicest and most beautiful in the world, farangs rather than Asians are still who Thai women prefer as husbands, the problem getting bare body sex is a result of the girls being smarter when it comes to their health, nose jobs and tats are really not that much of a turn off, if you follow the rules immigration is straightforward, and yes pollution is a problem but it's a problem most everywhere in developing economies.

Personally I'm fortunate to live where ever I want but I choose to live here most of the year because I love the people I love the food and I love the massages++.

My experience has been close to that except for one thing; bareback sex is much easier to get now than it was decades ago and easier now than it was just 4-5 years ago. P4P girls in Thermae and in most of Pattaya exude a similar grindingly boring "too cool for you" attitude. It seems to be ingrained in the current prevailing Customer-Hooker dynamic. As you say, very different from the past.
