As we all know, your age goes north and your teeth starting to go south, can someone please recommend a good cosmetic dental center in Bangkok or Pattaya based on experience? Thanks.

Teeth don't need to go south so much. Start going to dentist for check, clean and scale at least 3 times per year. Problems reduce. Okay Old crowns and old fillings can still be a problem. Don't eat anything hard crunchy.

I have not set aside the money to fix my discoloured teeth (probably caused by Tetracyclines at a young age) and crooked teeth but it will be a hell of a lot cheaper than in a western country.

I only had 1 decent (acceptable) experience with a girl I barfined from a bar in that Queen's Park Plaza complex out of a half dozen tries over the past few years. And the second time I took her it was abysmal. Yet she continued to pester me for a third try every time I passed through that complex for the next few years.

Ha ha. So moving the bar won't be much help. I never had any good experiences on Soi 22 area either, and not much talent seen. June at Bongkot was my only Soi 22 girl.

Maybe someone can tell us the spots on Soi 22 with better quality girls.

I see some of the beer bars from Queen's Park Plaza on Sukhumvit Soi 22 and set to close are relocating to a new beer bar complex on Sukhumvit Soi 7 right before Beer Garden.

I think Rumors Bar was the biggest one at the old location and already has a sign up in the new location. It might be open for business sometime during the evening already. It was hard to tell this afternoon.

Haha that was fun. I remember I did something similar a while ago, not for the pizza though. There was some guy sitting next to me in a gogo was trying very hard to bargain with a girl. She was asking 2500 and he was adamant on 2 k. Girl was cute and had a nice rack. So I just hijacked their conversation and told the girl I will give 2500. Though I did feel bad for the guy, but girl was hot enough that 3 k won't be big deal for her. I always say, look at the girl before bargaining.

P.S.: I had a great time with her.

I have no problem with tuk tuks and use them judiciously depending on where I am. Usually all it takes is a paeng mak and start to walk away and I get the fare I am willing to pay which I know from experience is fair. Never go where they suggest.

Once in India I took a human powered rickshaw, at the end of the journey he asked for an exorbitant price much more than if I took a bicycle rickshaw or any other form of transport, I began to argue with him and he took up his rickshaw and walked away; I ran behind him and paid what he asked.

Which red light area will be comparatively safe for a solo travelers? Where possibility of getting scammed is relatively low? And also budget friendly.

Long time ago there were lots of scams. I have seen personally a westerner beaten up by 4 Thai on the street. Not sure what is the reason. Unless you start being physical nobody will beat you up.

As others have said scams are about drink or good prices you order. When you order they will bring a check and place it in a container. Smart thing to do is check pay right away and do not run a tab. More you drink more drunk you get and become a target. If you buy a drink for the girl ask how much first. There is reputed bars who are good, however sometimes it is the waitresses who scam you not giving you the right change. You are in a foreign country and do not get drunk. Entertainment places are packed with hustlers although thais are generally very nice.

If you read through the forum you will get lots tips about what not to do.

I believe the only scam you need to worry about is in Patpong. It will be for some of those ping pong shows. Not all ping pong show bars are scammers. If you go to one of those scamming bars, they might try to charge you $100+ for a beer. Multiple guys will surround you and pressure you to pay. Never touch them. They will not beat you up, if you don't touch them. The tour book said, if you pay up, just go to the tourist police and they will get you a refund. It happened to me 25 years ago. I just refused to pay. After several minutes, they let me go after I paid the normal cost of the beer.

This info is from 10 years ago. If you need to go to a ping pong show, go to the upstairs bars on the main street which has the "king" or "queen" name. Avoid the ping pong bars on the side street.

There's no real rip off bars in Nana and Cowboy, just high prices.

Never been to Pattaya's Playgirl bar which promises sex shows. I am assuming it's like the ping pong bars in Phuket. I was told that under Thai law, all prices must be posted. When I entered a ping pong bar in Phuket, normal prices were posted on the menu. But I read the fine print. Those prices were for the second drink. I turned over the menu, and the prices for the first drink were listed. The first beer was 20 something dollars. I believe you can't complain because the prices were listed. Plus the prices were not crazy, just ridiculously high.

For Soi 24, go the the main Google search box and search for "Bangkok Compass Skyview Hotel." Then click on the "Maps" tab at the top of the page. Soi 24 runs SW/NE in front of the hotel. On Google maps it is labeled "Sukhumvit 24 Alley."

For Soi 4, go to the main Google search box and search for "Bangkok Nana Plaza." Then click on the "Maps" tab at the top of the page. Soi 4 runs S/N between Nana Plaza and the Nana Hotel. On Google maps it is labeled "Sukhumvit 4 Alley."

Regarding safe, like everyone said make sure you don't drink too much that even you don't remember how many drinks you had. Better, if you're new to this, pay with every drink.

Regarding budget friendly, well I don't what's your budget.

But gogos can be very expensive. Bar fine + drinks + lady drinks + and money you give girl, all included can be a lot. Thermae can be good option if you're asian.

Otherwise massage shops, though quality and service can be hit and miss. Read the massage thread.

But he got his 15 cents.
