Sorry for the rookie question, but I've only been to Bangkok once even tho I am very experienced worldwide. When you guys talk about Soi 7 of whatever are you talking about the Sois in the northeast part of Bangkok? Maybe 20 minutes drive from Soi Cowboy?

When guys on here talk about soi 7 or 8 or 4 or 33 or 22 or 24 or etc. They usaully talk about sois on Sukhumvit Road.

I kindly ask you don't RTFF me as I WTFF for the most part. And I do read Bangkok daily but it's a forest for the trees problem. I see the trees clearly but the overview is harder to come by. Thanks.

Typically, when we are talking about Soi 7, Soi 7/1, Soi 8, Soi 11, Soi 15 and so on, we are talking about the lower soi numbered area of Sukhumvit Road between Soi Cowboy at Sukhumvit and Asok (bts station) and Nana Plaza (on Soi 4).

None of those sois would be a 20 minute drive from Soi Cowboy unless you are stuck in heavy traffic, of course. It would be no more than a 20 minute walk from Soi Cowboy to Nana Plaza and vice versa. And all of those sois I mentioned are between Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza. Well, Soi 4 is where Nana Plaza is located. Soi Cowboy is off Asok on one end and Soi 23 at the other end. It's only 1 block long.

And it is useful to know the odd numbered sois are on one side of Sukhumvit Road while the even numbered ones are on the other.

Patpong might be more like a 20 minute drive from Nana Plaza/Soi 4 though. Or it can be reached by BTS Skytrain from Nana Plaza area or by MRT subway from the Soi Cowboy area. Just locate it on a map or your GPS and see which methods will get you within easy walking distance to it.

Soi 7 had the Taco joint that's all torn out. Same folks as Margarita Storm used to be there.

I have never, not once, ever seen a good looking lady in RedHog.

I'll be roaming out tonight and will study the situation.

I think you mean Soi 7/1, not Soi 7. Soi 7/1 is where the Subway sandwich shop used to be, it shared the space with Sunrise Mexican Grill (also of Margarita Storm) and there was a Thai Bistro upstairs. Well, now the Thai Bistro is downstairs, open for business, and the menu includes Sunrise Mexican Grill fare as well as the expected Thai food.

Great info! I live up that Soi during the winter months and it used to be necessary to make the trek to Soi 4 or 11 to find a beer bar or a place where FL's hung out (with the exception of the awful RedHog). The place you mentioned was an Indian restaurant that seemed empty every time I walked by last winter. I have also read that Soi 7 has some space on the corner of SUK that is being built out and many of the bars from Soi 22 are transferring to that location. Now, if someone can resurrect Bangkok Beat!

It seems some of the girls who have been working in the soon-to-close (3 months?) Queen's Park Plaza bars on Soi 22 are showing up at a small new outdoor/indoor beer bar on Soi 8 near the corner of Sukhumvit Road called Today@Soi 8 Bar. Lady Drinks are 190 baht, sodas are 70 baht, don't know about beer or other drinks. Barfine is 700 baht, the rest is up to the girl and the customer, as usual. I only sat there for a few minutes last night waiting for my dating site FL girl to arrive on the BTS train nearby. There were 7-8 girls there at 7PM. 2-3 looked doable to me. But I have walked past this new bar a few times since it opened about a week ago and I have seen different girls there every time.

It is open from 10AM to 2AM/3AM. It is said some girls will show up as early as 10AM. There is an indoor section of the bar behind glass doors with pool tables and air-conditioning. They are not serving food yet but I was told they will sometime in the future.

I guess you man Kazy Kozy by "Crazy House 2". My favourite waitress there could not get on with the gay "mamasan" (who is a full on nuisance. We don't need gays much in girly bars), and so left there.

MaXX seems to be the name of a Hotel??? Am not aware of a bar like that. Maybe its new.

I don't really think its the colour of the skin that matters at all. It is more the perception that certain ethnic groups can be unwilling to buy many drinks, argue over bill regularly, or cause other problems. That is my guess. Any one guy may not fit the generalisation but maybe discriminated against. If a group of guys, even more unlikely to be welcome. Not sure if excessive body odours is a factor or not. Just possible. Manner of dressing could matter too. Best to know dress like those that are generally turned away. Perhaps try to look like a person from USA etc. Can help. Can depend who is on the door.

In some bars unknown guys can be asked to buy drinks up front, so that is why I have not been in Bacarra for a long time now. There may not be any suitable seating, so I don't want to buy a drink first.

I recommend for you Billboard as the best bar in Nana and does not seem to worry about ethnicity. One problem is Billboard has a lot of slim girls that may not suit every guy. Better to know good bars since unlikely anyone will try them all. I avoid the big fat mamasan (bad experiences in the past).

They are all basically fine with Black Americans, so it's not really black and brown skin that they are worried about. They are more concerned about people from specific countries that have cultures which have taught their men to be total cheapskates and to basically view working girls as sub-human. That type of clientele may mostly have darker skin, but it's not the color of their skin that is the concern.

You aren't going to be able to compile a complete list here. But, if you fit the profile and walk up to a bar where they say "sorry, members only", then move on to the next bar. Maybe the next bar will let you in.

Yes, it's 3 k for ST, but that's still 99% cheaper than most of the world unless you want to risk it in some crime filled shithole of a country (Brazil, Colombia, etc.).

Plus, you're not competing with the disgusting boomers who enjoy BBFS.

Plenty of dark Issan ladies in the Soi 7 bars along the fence on the way to the Beer Garden. And the price is up to you. Also you might find a few inside of the Beer Garden. Myself I don't care what shade of Thai they are as long as they have a great GF attitude.

Where I live there are a plethora of ladies to my liking, however living in the province one needs to be extremely discreet as word travels fast about what the farang gets up to, so these days I only go full throttle when in Bangkok.

Soi 7 it is. I will post my experiences.

There are also lots of massage bars here on Soi 7/1. All the ladies will be offering services as you walk to Chrome at the end of the Soi. Some cool bars here too where the ladies are chill, not too much pressure, can sit and have a relaxed drink while they rub you and tell all the horrible things they will do to you. A couple hotties, but mostly a bit older on this Soi. But reasonably priced and negotiable. And better service than most young hotties who don't need to try as hard.

Beware there are many LBs on Soi 7/1. Several of the bars have a mix of LBs and real girls. I absolutely hate that.
