If you want to hear cover bands play western music, the Philippines are the best at that with the Indonesians not far behind. Thais are not good at that. If you want original music rather than cover band music, Indonesia is the best of the three.

Thai music is quite unique. I think some of that Isaan music is awesome. They don't sing well in most of those songs, but they are fun. Strangely this band largely did not wear hats.

If you don't care about sound quality, the yelling and screaming band before midnight maybe okay Some customers liked it. Wasn't worse than what I experienced once in Soi 7/1, perhaps was "Bangkok Beat" where band was so awful when I went there.
