We are having some special days right now. Apr 5 was Coronation day (Rama 10), Apr 6 Chakri day (all the flag waving etc.), and Apr 9 is the royal plowing ceremony. This means Government officials get a lot of days off.

Yesterday there was a lot of confusion with the thai people as to which holiday it was. One told me the ploughing ceremony, and and another told me coronation day of Rama 10, and taxi driver told me Wishakha Bucha day (often spelled Visakha but there is no V sound in the Thai language so I spell it better how it sounds).

Wisakha Bucha day is 18 Apr and I expect bar closures are very definite, however it is a Saturday so officials will get their holiday day off on Mon 20 April in addition to not working Saturday of course. Bars should be open 20 April I think. They won't be affected by the Government officials day off.

The exact way bars close can be confusing. E. g. Might have to close at Midnight on 19 April, I am not sure, or maybe they get away with staying open a bit later. Might be able to open at midnight on 20 April as crosses into 21 April, but probably would not since closing time would be 2 AM for most bars. Not worth it to open for 2+ hours.

Some of us like bar girls a lot more than MP girls, mainly because we have exacting specs for the looks of the girls, like o see a great body hardly clothed, and like to interact for a while before choosing. How do you compare the current BKK gogo girls with the Pattaya ones on your recent visit?

I prefer Patpong and Nana too over Cowboy. TBH I have stopped going to Cowboy for some time now. Baccara can be ok but too crowded and terrible layout, but my main peeve is that the girls do not rotate on stage.

Bacarra is absolutely hopeless for layout and how crowded is the stage, and how girls are not moving around to different spots on the stage, if a fussy guy like me. Just too hard to see all the girls, and hence find which are the better ones.
