Just find an accredited doctor by preference (urologist or venereologist). The problem may be caused by parasite (trichomoniasis) or caused by urinary tract infection (not std) or your treatment was not well prescribed (gonorrhea and chlamydia). That's why you have to get tested from an accredited medical center.

Sorry to hear what you're going through.

I too caught some std that had the exact same effects than the one you described (except it healed before any yellow discharge happened).

It was burning like hell at the point that I was very scared every time I had to go and have a pee.

I did just arrived back in my country when I realized it (I could clearly identify the moment I caught it, 2 days before my flight back).

I didn't go to check it because in my country some of these doctors are *ssh*les than like to make you feel bad when you caught an std or when you're doing a std checkup.

In fact I didn't took any medicine.

I did only 2 things: first drink a lot more water than usual to not let the bacteria go further up in the urethra, and secondly every time I had to go to toilet I took time to slowly spread the skin at the exit of my urethra. Just doing this reduced the pain of maybe 30% because it's the amount of liquid that have to go through that wounded area in an extremely brief time that open and worsen the wound in your urethra caused by the bacteria, and every time I went to toilet the pain was diminishing and I was completely healed after maybe four or five days. But in my case I'm circumcised (it probably helped me a lot) and I caught the disease maybe 4 days earlier.

The girl can have the bacteria in her mouth and never give it to anyone until she does anything weird.

The girl that gave it to me was the exact same girl that I was staying with during my last 2 weeks, and she gave me a lot of BBBJ before she infected me. The moment she infected me, she just spread the skin on the exit of my urethra and licked inside for a few seconds, it was enough to let the bacteria enter the urethra. I remember the next day I already had a strange feeling in my dick when I went to toilet, but as I never caught any std I didn't know what it was until it started burning the next days.

It's probably too late for you to follow only these two steps but I'm pretty sure that even in your condition you should consider drinking a lot more water than usual and even put some lemon in it.

I'm not sure if they would do it for gonorrhea but I received a few shots of antibiotics in the ass a few years ago from a pharmacist in Pattaya for an open wound on my toe that got worse after a few days. But you've got to find the independent pharmacies (no brand on it, preferably written in Thai) and it would be better if the pharmacist is an older guy.

Gonorrhea, chlamydia and trichomoniasis are often symptomless because their immune system can control it and people infect their partners without knowing they are infected and they are cured overtime without knowing they were infected.

Maybe she recently contracted and infect you without knowing, maybe she did not get tested. Just find an accredited doctor by preference (urologist or venereologist). The problem may be caused by parasite (trichomoniasis) or caused by urinary tract infection (not std) or your treatment was not well prescribed (gonorrhea and chlamydia). That's why you have to get tested from an accredited medical center.

Hi all, I am headed to Bangkok in a week or two and am just wondering if anyone can give an update on the scene?

Azithromycin will be taken generally (1000 MG) in one dose. 2 500 MG pills, or 4 250 MG pills. That takes care of the chlamydia, but not gonnorrhea. You will get a shot of Ceftraxione for gonnorhea. Both those meds will take care of anything you could have as far as minor sti's. It will take about a week before you should have any unprotected sexual contact without being contagious. I'll f Azuthromycin didn't work. The you would take doxycycline everdday (2 times 100 MG) for 7 days.

I'm sorry to know about your ordeal. I've read through your posts and other learned members' responses as well. I'm not a qualified medical professional, but I've gone through severe UTI few years back. So, as an old patient, daring to compose this note.

You would need to have better and thorough medical consultation urgently.

You might want to have a quick STD panel test plus check for UTI culture to identify the bacteria.

Yes I am sure that it taken all at once and at the time of the injection. That is what I am reading on all of the websites. They do mention doxycycline as an alternative to azithromycin and that is taken as a 5 day course I think.

Regarding Red Cross on Bangkok, I went there a year ago, paid for the test, and was told I would have the result in 2 weeks, which would have been after I left, so it was useless for me.

I never said that Pharmacies do tests but their knowledge can be good on common complaints, once you have been tested and know what is the condition. They know what to do for girls needing the morning after pill. Ha ha. Even doctors guess conditions wrongly so tests are better. Doctors often skip a test and diagnose wrongly. I have the experience of that.

You do not state what was the test that would take 2 weeks. I have never had to wait that long for anything I was tested for, certainly it is not that long to wait for Chlamydia or Gonorreah. Red Cross is both fast and cheap. HIV test is in 2 stages. The first (fairly reliable) result is within 1 hour. It will detect HIV unless was contacted in the last 2 weeks. They then do a 2nd test called amplification, that takes maybe 3 days, when one would be notified only if got a positive.

People are advised to wait for test results, however in practice, if my dick had a serious problem, I would start treating as soon as possible, but get the tests immediately first to make sure was on the right track. I don't like to take anti-biotics unless something really warrants it. Anti-biotics have good and bad effects.

One website recommends Swing Health Centre, Pattaya, however I have not used it nor know the prices.

Yes, I am wondering what it actually is. Initially, like for the first week there was absolutely no discharge, but just in the last 24 hrs there is a small clear yellowish discharge at times. It just seems to be getting worse even two days after taking the medication. I may have to find a proper doctor and some extra medication. Thanks.

I went through a similar thing 10 years ago. From memory it kept getting worse for a couple of days after taking the prescribed medication and I doubted that it would work. Then on the 3rd or 4th day it got better and was gone by the 5th day.

If you are into the 3rd day of meds, you may as well just finish the course and then if it doesn't clear up look at other solutions.

Azithromycin is one of the most common anti biotics out there, so since you are into the 3rd day of the course you don't have much to lose by just finishing the course

Yes, I had a bad feeling about it at the time, but I wasn't about to argue about the price. I wasn't even given a receipt. It was all pretty dodgy.

Maybe you don't have STD or maybe your treatment was not well prescibed, before taking any treatment better to have a test to rule out any other bacterial infection. Taking unecessary antibiotics or the treatment is not well prescribed may make your body worse and can lead your body to drug resistance in the future. You may experience urinary tract infection that's not STD. I don't know anything about Thailand. Just find a hospital and get tested in order to have the right treament. You should have an urinalysis to rule out any other urinary tract infection that's performed in the office of the doctor.

I think you got ripped off badly.

Firstly you get treatments from a pharmacy for both of those much more cheaply. May make sense to treat for both. However other conditions are probably possible.

I don't know if there is Red Cross in Pattaya but in Bangkok one could be tested and get fast diagnosis for maybe 300 or 400 Baht.

So that is what I would do at first sign of anything wrong, then the pharmacy are experts in the treatment as good as anyone else.

I went to the Pattaya Memorial Hospital last year for diagnosis and treatment and was charged 3100 baht, so 2500 baht is not that bad. There is a clinic, Buakhao Clinic, on Soi Buakhao between Soi 13 and LK Metro Alley that charges 200 baht for gonorrhea testing and 500 baht for chlamydia testing. I don't know how much they charge for the shot and drugs if needed.
