I have been reading this BKK thread in preparation for an upcoming BKK trip and have seen what seemed like a few very brief or vague passing references or allusions to Middle Eastern freelancers in BKK, if I understood them correctly. The most detailed description that I found is this post on a ST session with a freelancer from near the Grace Hotel. I searched further on this thread and also on the Foreign Sex Workers in Thailand thread but did not find much else in the way of detail. Can anyone provide more details, such as where specifically they are from, and where else I might find them, other than near the Grace Hotel? Also, I was under the impression that the Grace Hotel was a spot for freelancers from the former Soviet Union. Do Middle Eastern freelancers gather there as well?

I do plan to focus on Thai girls, of course, but there is already plenty of documentation on them. In contrast, this is an itch that I would like to scratch, if there any more information on these girls.

The new king 1000 baht notes and 100 baht notes look far too similar, imo.

For this reason, I keep my 1000's (and sometimes 500's) separate from smaller notes. It's often imprudent (in a taxi) or impolite (for a street vendor) to use a 1000, so I don't use them often for the most common transactions where pulling out my wallet with 1000's would be inconvenient. When I do use them, then I'm sure I broke out the big one, and nobody can pull the "you only gave me a 100" trick.

Shit. Pulled 10 K from ATM today, and tonight can't quite account for where it all went excluding what remains and forget exactly how much was in wallet before taking the 10 K out of ATM. Having never had problems with stealing girls and this girl was known for a long time, let my guard down and left wallet in pants while taking a shower. Temptation could be too much.

The bad part is now I suspect her of pilfering just 1 K to 2 K because I can't account for everything, but also forget exactly how much spent at restaurant and supermarket, etc. Do know the pharmacy and alcohol expenditure exactly. Well you might be right. Previously the older girls, girls with baby damage, fatties, ugly show girls etc. Were upstairs, and naturally not many guy would want to go upstairs, unless took their hotty upstairs with them, to find a nice relaxed spot for molestation.

Incidentally, that is one of the reasons I now actually prefer to buy a drink before entering the multi-level venues like Baccara and Crazy House and would not make an effort to have it any other way for me. After my drink is brought to me, I can more easily bail out of one level and check out another one at any time. And then return to the previous level as well. No need to call over a server, deal with the payment, wait for the change, etc. There isn't even a check bin cup in front of me. That assumes you are running a tab, that is, instead of paying up each time a drink is delivered.

Besides, the "recognized valued customer who always buys lots of drinks" guys who are allowed in those places without buying a drink outside first are not going to cruise through the bar levels and walk out without buying at least one drink anyway, are they? If they do that very often, they will lose their "valued customer" status soon enough. So they are just as pressured to buy a drink regardless of the quality of the line up and seating options inside as anyone else buying one on the outside but in a different way.

I try bars like Rainbow 2 and Rainbow 4/5 and see only 1 to 3 Farangs in the whole bar dominated by SE Asian customers. I assume the reasons are the number of freaky looking heavy surgeries girls, or is there any other major reason? Girls too expensive? Girls not topless?

Even I have been reluctant to take gogo bar girls these days, due to total price for BF, drinks, and the sex, but I still like to be able to check them out at close quarters for an extended period before choosing. 2 or 3 street walkers on Soi 4 last night were very cute, so starts to tempt me, since the low price means we could get a dud girl, and simply go get another one.

Are there any gogo bars remaining that are still farang dominated? I am guessing it would be small bars like only Jungle Jims, Toy Bar, Afterskool, etc. There are a lot of Farangs in Billboard and Crazy House but I still doubt they would dominate over Asian customers. Pics 3 and 4 show huge improvement (if actually the same girl), but to me, the other 3 pics show no improvement or I prefer the before look. Pic 2 is only one really pretty for me before she had surgery. So why? The nose is not improved for me.

Maybe all the extreme surgeries girls in these gogos were actually more ugly before the surgery, but to me the exaggerated surgery is not really making me like them. Perhaps they were beyond help for me. Now they just don't look like a Thai and barely human.

Sure, if you hold them side by side you can tell the 100 baht notes are slightly smaller. And they are a different color, of course. But they are not a dramatically contrasting color. If the lighting is dark or more yellow than white it is very easy to mistake one for the other. I have actually pulled a new king 1000 baht note out my wallet, paired it with a loose new king 100 baht note from my pocket and handed them to a Starbuck's clerk in Nana Square to cover a 150 baht charge.

Yes I agree. My eyesight at close range is not good like when I was 20, and in very dim yellowish light makes the colour difference quite low. I do have to ask taxis to turn on a light before I pay. When young, that would not have been necessary. Maybe I should carry a very small strong white light LED torch. I have one slim flat one in my luggage, that can be attached to a key ring, just haven't got used to using it.

Went to Charoen Pharmacy today. It has not closed completely yet, but certain medicines are now out of stock, selves are quite depleted. They are trying to sell remaining stock. Probably will be closed in 2 weeks.
