I have seen people asking about this town and asked myself several months ago. In short, for P4 P this town pretty much sucks. There are a few girls walking around but out of the 20 or so we saw, only 2 were in any way decent. The most happening place in town was Sharky's and there were several girls outside here every night. The hottest one, Nicole, was an 8 on the looks scale but attitude was bad so we left her alone. One guy did take a girl back from here on the first night and was taken back to one of the dumpiest hotels you have ever seen. Did not want to even sit down so just got a standing BJ and left.

We stayed at the Tamarindo Diria and every girl we talked to about going back there had the same answer. Not possible. If you have to go to this town, my suggestion would be to find a place with no security or better yet, bring your own girl or girls from San Jose or Jaco. The town is full of very young surfers and wanne be surfers. Drugs are offered everywhere and if you are under 35 could probably do some well with some young tourists. Last piece of advice. Go to Jaco instead.

Thinking of vising CR in a couple of weeks. I have been to San Jose a couple of times, and want to try something new. I wanted to go to the Nicoya area, like Nosara, Liberia, and Tamarindo. I have RTF, and I don't find anything useful. Any punting fun to be had up there?

On a short cruise stop, I had no time to indulge. But putas seemed readily available in all the grogshops around the port. A tavern called "Washington" had a couple of tables full of them. Also around the nearby waterfront park. Language may be a problem. I spotted a truly fine older woman (early 40's) sitting alone at an outdoors table. We exchanged glances and smiles. She did not speak any English beyond telling me she was working and a "service woman. " Quoted $40 and hinted a "casa" was available. The language gap and lack of time kept me from finding out what was what.

TL / DR: Beautiful area, nice people, but not much going on during the day. Night might be better.

Just spent some time in the NW part of Guanacaste.

If you are staying in the Gulf of Papagayo (Hilton, Four Seasons, etc.) Club Amnesia shows some promise. Sign said it opened after 9 PM, and my scheduled activities did allow me to partake, but the website and facebook page look very promising. ($20 private dances, etc.) It is located between Playa Panama and Play Hermosa on a small hill. Easy to spot sign by the road.

Playa del Coco: This area shows promise, with many street side bars, small hotels, and a Casino. However, it was dry during the afternoon I strolled.

I checked out 4 massage places. The one closest to the beach said "no adult massage" in big red letters, so didn't go in. There is another one next to the Catholic Church. She came to the door with lotion on her hands, gave me a card and said come back later. Decently attractive girl, but nothing gave me an indication that extras were available. The third MP was located behind the electronics store on the main road, heading away from the beach. It looked the most promising, due to location, and basic signage, but looked to be out of business. The hair salon next door offered massages as well, but no indication that anything extra would be provided.

I strolled through the Casino but it was dead. (Note, Casino is very small).

I checked out many of the bars but mostly tourists sitting around. I didn't notice any Tica's looking available.

Not if you are looking for mongering fun. If you like to partake of the hippy lettuce and listen to reggae music yes. Might want to work on getting you one of those knitted rainbow Jamaican beanies with the dreadlocks built in.

Good luck on this one. You are going to have to work hard. I never heard of any mongering going on in that area. Be very careful offering Taxista money for services other than rides.

What side of town or country were you on? The Caribi side? Most mongers down here use common sense. If you have any doubts of her age, ask to see her cedula, national I. D. Card. This will give you her correct age. Might I suggest next time that you frequent the establishments that check the chica's I. D's before the are allowed in. This way you know she is legal and will not have a problem. The Sportsman, The Mona Lisa, Ricks, Cocal and Del Rey all do this. Another option is going to a M. P. For a session like the Hotel Little Havana and the New Fantasy. If you walk in and see fat whales, walk right back out. You would not have wasted any time or money. If you ever decide to come back, and it sounds like you won't, look me up. I'll be happy to be your wing man for a few hours and show you the ropes.

Go to el Mejicano if you like black and fat women. I know about two other places in town but old whales are nobody's liking.

I got told about a young girl doing it for money, went with the car driver who contacted her, she took 40$ in advance in the street with her contact girl and went into the bar. I waited with the car driver outside, they came out and told me to fuck off, that they were calling the police because she was 16 when the bus driver told me she was 19. I went to the police station, told me to go to the OIJ, told me to go to the police station, no patrol car took me to the bar because the patrol car was full of cops, I waited in the station, she was known to the police as a criminal but was 16 and in Costa Rica minor can do whatever they like. Police and Judicial system are for decoration. Don't travel to Costa Rica, tourists are a target in a lawless country. By the way, I have never seen so many fat whales in my life. Anybody have any insight into the working girl situation here in Tamarindo? It looks like there should be some nightlife.

The party seems to move every night in Tamarindo. Just drive around with your windows down and look for the bar with the most people that night. I brought a girl there with me from San Jose and she pointed out some working girls to me each night.
