Yes but its usually newbies that inquire and the reality of NBO is that your first few solo trips probably should be worked from the CBD. Its just so much easier. After a few trips you learn what clubs / bars you prefer, how to ride the bus / matatus, and how to score all types besides pros. A lying ass Kikuyu advertised his apartment as being in Westlands, which I booked, but upon arrival found it in Eastleigh. It took lots of calls and talking to get most of my money back from that scumbag. That kind of stuff can overwhelm a first timer.

By the way, the standard varies wildly; my last room was in Terminal facing the street and the room was excellent with a very interesting view at a couple of streetwalkers in the afternoon outside the shopping mall. Both dressed as non-pros; they actially looked like regular business ladies. Maybe I shall have a go in a couple of weeks.

I stayed there 2012 and 2013, the prize for the single being KSH 1800 at this time. When I walked by 2 months ago the receptionist said its 3000 now. The side of the Nakumat Lifestyle opposite the hotel (in fact its a 1 star GH in relatively central location) is still under construction so there is noise (which however was always a problem there) and the cafe with the terrasse is closed.

The hotel (Chesterhouse) requires the lady show her documents upon entry. He bribed the guards a few hundred shillings each to poo poo the rules. They are meant to be broken-no?

While his penis was doing what is does best, he said he kept the vision of the surly guard that took his shillings in his head. The guards eyes said "It's not enough". Now, had these gentleman called certain buddies with real law enforcement powers, his ass and wallet could have been in real danger of probing. She could have been 100 yo. A quick convo in Swahili between her and cops could result in serious bribe money. Fortunately, the Gunz, I mean my friend, thought better of an all night party and sent her right back to Simmers after a quick shag. After all, the city is literally full of pussy. No need to risk the rest of the trip.

Global Surfer, your not thinking "Globally" . Realize that Kenya is in a tourism crisis. Only horny dogs are going there. Any cop shaking down a tourist now is a fucking idiot and not getting the memo from the top. Any problems should be challenged if you are not doing dirty deeds. If it were to happen, I would think it would not happen in Nairobi, but in Mombasa and other areas, away from big bosses in the big city. I don't go to Mombasa. People tow the line more in Nairobi.

I have spent a few weeks in Nairobi recently, and had the chance to check out some places for fun.

As SteveNaive recently reported, Dev Towers is a good option for massages with extras. I read on the forum about the three MPs in the building (La Celeb, Jephers and another one, which I think is now called Studio 37 Salon / barbershop), but when I went there on Saturday afternoons, Studio 37 was closed, I couldn't quite figure out the entrance to Jephers (seems to share the space with a tailor), and La Celeb was always open.

My first time at La Celeb, the "Receptionist" told me to wait in a room, and sent a girl in. I started asking about prices and she quoted 1500 Ksh (about $16 USD) for a massage and extras were available. I wasn't quite hot about her, so I started saying something about changing my mind and leaving, at which point she offered to send other girls in, which I gladly agreed to. You might be able to get some action for 200 Bob ($2) from some street pickup, but most club and online hookups can be had for 1,000 to 3,000 Bob ($10 to $30 USD). Only suckers or those who fall victim to orchestrated female hustler / hotel staff or police scam pay UK or US prices (that happened to me once in Senegal). In Kenya, I have never dropped more than 2,500 Bob for a hookup though that does not include cost of a drink or short term lodge.

Thank you both for your comments, both points understood and appreciated. I am also a little of an upmarket guy. I am almost 50 worked hard all my life, time to enjoy. Does Thorn Tree also have pickup girls? I can see it is a nice Cafe and praised for food.

Opposite the Stanley there is the Oakwood which I have tried many times and with lower rates. I went ahead and booked Sankara since I kinda got the impression from the forum that Westlands have a little more upscale places than CBD, or many I am wrong? Does anyone know if there are girls to pick up on the roof top bar at Sankara or you have to bring yourself?
