Can't find something near the action in Nairobi that's not super expensive. Will default to Hilton if no-one one the board coughs up a better suggestion.

However $115 a night seems a bit steep for Nairobi? Also not sure how girl friendly it is.

I agree about hotels in Nairobi being too expensive with terrible rooms. So I use Airbb. Very efficient, great places to stay, private and cheap.

Depends on what you mean by "close" to the action. Expect a jacked cab price of 1 k to get to Westlands. Nothing but Simmers and the new Florida, which is not as popular as before, are downtown. This dead forum really does not reflect that. Hotels, even the shitholes, want 75 bucks and up for a night. I just don't get it. That Hilton is old, has a walk of shame, and wants extra money for your guest to stay. Hotel Emerald is smack dab in the middle of the action in Westlands, clean, and they honored my request to be in the back, away from any club music. As with most hotels, pay for double.

Are you posting in Adis about your hotel and what's going on there? Am not seeing good things being posted about Ethiopia.

Hotel Metro on Koinange street is 4000 kesh per night for a double room its simple hotel nothing special but definitely girls friendly and very near all action.

And as far as the mongering scene is concerned, if you are a club person, people have shifted to be-Club,1824 whisky bar Langata, Galileo club westlands, Brew Bristow etc, these are high end bars, but women are shifting their operations here, the city center-Simmers etc is a pretty sleazy place to pick up women, the place is invaded by street ladies, even locals, like us with some money to spend, do not visit the place as it attracts low income crowds, but if you made good contacts and fuck buddies you can find your way. Sure you can get a good grill at Carnivore or the Gaucho in Westlands. But almost everywhere else.

Include top hotels, they usually destroy a piece of meat and lack any culinary inclinations.

Returned to Nairobi after 3 years on a short business trip and checked in the Oldest British era Hotel.

In the evening after finishing my meetings, enquired about massage and one was available at 7. 30 pm. A tall busty therapist was available and was already flirting with her eyes before I could enter the massage room. The massage was ok. Nothing great and when I asked about extras. She refused.

I don't know, maybe it can be pulled off, if they let you out. You may need to buy a 50 buck visa, then manage to get through traffic to CBD (2000 shilling) and go to one of the massage parlors or Lidos there.
