    Re: Palacina and Natural Oak

Both are wonderful places. Palacina quite a bit more expensive. GF? Of course, its your apartment! For your purposes why not consider Kenya Comfort Suites. Less expensive, just book a double and no worries. About 3, 600 shillings for a double.

    Country Lodge

Does anyone know if Country Lodge is GF?

If not what are the alternatives without being too dodgy?

    Thanks

Palacina Residence & Suites and Natural Oak Apartments

I have found two very nice apartment hotels in Nairobi, take a look on www.palacina.com and www.naturaloak.co.ke
Both could be convenient for a mongering trip to Nairobi (my is planned for July / August 2009)

Does anybody know, are they GF?

    Please share your experiences

    Thanks

Its got a common-man's touch. They might be surprised to see a melanin-challenged person there but they'll still be friendly. As soon as you step in, you'll be welcomed by a number of damsels who will ask you what you want. There's all kind of girls there and you just take your pick

Give us a report when you pass through

Ask the cabbie to take you to three-eden in downtown nairobi. The area is a little seedy but its still safe.

Its got a big blue door and stairs that lead to what many men call heaven

i guarantee you've never seen women like this. You might even meet the off duty hotel manager and your boss there

    Visiting Nairobi -- advice?

I will be in Nairobi early May for business. I'm staying at Hilton Hotel and was wondering if it's girl friendly place? Could you share girls contact details as well or best places to meet easy going ones?

It would be nice to meet some buddies as well! Anybody up for a beer on Sunday May 3?

    Thanks

Errrmm dude, I hope you do know that there are 'many lazy kenyans' who post here. And guess what, they are the best go to guys about the 'good life' in Kenya.

A little bit of courtesy and common sense never killed anyone.

Look at the newspaper Daily Nation and at the message board of Nakumatt.

    "Three wheels" no more

Jerulez, for your information, Three wheels has been pulled down. They are constructing something else there. Residential flats, shopping mall? Who knows?

However, Fairview Hotel is not the cheapest one (but excellent value for money). If you are on a business trip and your company pays for it, book First Class Room at Fairview Hotel and you are lucky.

Ngong Hills Hotel could be an interesting altenative to Fairview Hotel. Website looks nice and prices much lower than Fairview Hotel.

Guys, please share your experiences with Ngong Hills Hotel!

    Thanks
Ngong Hills is aight. Significantly lower in class than fairview so don't moan if you find that its not up to fairview standards. However it is common with old married men and their 'ndogo ndogos' (kenyan slang for mistress) so I'm guessing you'll fit in very well with the crowd

There's a few good nyama choma spots and some nice malls around. But some of my family lives around there so I wouldn't be caught dead with a ndogo ndogo, LOL

Tell the cabbie to take you to three wheels restaurant which is a few hundred yards away. You'll meet some nice women there. Women who aren't that into long term relationships if you know what I mean.

Massage update and ISO info Oasis Dreams Spa?

    Greetings to the board,

I am sorry to say that I have no experience with Ngong Hills Hotels.

I came across an Nairobi based spa called Oasis Dreams that requires a membership fee but is short on what those membership priveledges include - not sure if it is a scam. Has anyone used them?

I also made a massage spa visit to a place in Westlands Arcade that I would not recommend. Lousy massage, expensive, and not very friendly service even with my attempts at making small talk and charm. It was a Sunday afternoon so not sure if that is a factor with not much open.

Still looking for any recommendations for GFE massage - any suggestions out there? PM with details.

    Cheers

    MD
