Posts: 250Looking for place in Nairobi for 1 month under $500 u.s.
Greetings:
I will be coming to Nairobi for 1 month in September. I would like to find a hotel that would offer a discount if one stays for a month and puts all the money upfront or at least each week in advance in cash. If anyone knows of the name and phone number of hotels that would be willing to give a discount of under $500 u.s. per month like this please let send me a PM or posting. The Terminal Hotel offers rooms at 1900 k per night but I can't reach them on the phone to see if they would offer a discount. I'm assuming a discount is possible since rooms could be vacant and they get nothing but this assumption might be wrong. As for apartments, most expect at least 2 months payment upfront so that's out of the question but let me know if you know of any apartments that might accept 1 month payment instead of having the apartment vacant for 1 month.
Thanks.

My pick would be seldom hotel on muranga road in ngara. Its cheap (£35 per night, double bed), hot electric showers, clean, restaurant and its a 10 minute drive from the city. A cabbie should charge you about 300-500ksh to get there.
When kenya visiters will andestand that kenya workers (90 procent from workers) have only 3to 5 dollar /day.300 to 500 kes/day. One man in florida told my that Hi pay 800kes/full night. Hi ask my. Howmatch for you. I say maby 2000kes. His answer. You must by one miljoenaer end you distroy the market prices. O. K guys.2000kes/full night. This is the price for mzungu. If you pay more. You make market prices end. Wath girls asking is not inportent. Kenya persons ask for evry servis 3thimes tomatch for mzungu. If taximan say 1000kes.300kes will by enough. Al kenya persons is bizzy with this for evry servis. For kenya persons. Mzungu is ATM machine.
First of all, your claim that 90% of kenyans 3-5 dollars is false!! I don't know where you pull your facts from.
Second of all, just because someone earns a little money doesn't mean that you should squeeze them more by paying less. Sure, almost everything is to be bargained for in kenya but you must have a sense of humanism and understand that you may be the only client that day for a porter or cab driver. If a cabbie tells me 1000 kshs, i might ask them to knock off 200 and we settle at 900. You have to remember that he has to survive and that many things such as education and healthcare have to be paid for unlike in europe.

Evry mzungu coming to kenya with 50 phone nummers from this girls in his pokket end the girls writing with 100 mzungu in her yahoo mail.
Girls taking this system. To have anater way than disco prostitution. But with same distination. Money.
This girls will go with you from supermarket to supermarket.
If you will visit Kenya for sex. Verget this system.
The girls from afro having olso kids end this kids need schoolfees
During my last visit in Nairobi. I try to meet girl from THIKA (50km) I was sitting 3h in matatu. The girl pick not up her phone if I was in thika end the day bifore I was making appointment. If you don't now Kenya (the way) than normal meeting is inpossibel. Maby only meeting in your hotel.
Somethimes you make appointment end girls not coming. Somethimes make agreement met taxi end fake the price to 20 thimes higher than normal.
Good advies. Verget afro.

Posts: 8Identification requirements for foreigners
Gentlemen:
I was wondering if someone could edify me on what is required as far as carrying identification outside one's abode. Would like to comply with the letter of the law if possible so as to avoid giving any possible excuses to a policeman in search of potential prey. (Interestingly, I noted in the Mozambique thread a chap was busted for carrying too many photocopies of his passport, that number being two.) I normally leave the passport at home and carry my U.S. driver's license only.
Any information on the actual rules would be most appreciated.

Its amazing my friends.
I registered to this site and since then I got the girls as much as i wanted.
Just posted my profile there and they came all over me non-stop after a nice and polite chat on line you can get their number and set up a date.
They are not stunners but some are real good looking.
For sure they are not working girls.
They never ask for payment - they will always wait to get some on their leave.
You should try it - it works all over Africa

I think its prolly a stunt by some shrewd college kid in kenya. Gotta give him props though. Stick to Kenya4.com. Its reliable and the best known kenyan website that lists escorts. Mazozo is pretty nice too. I was in kenya last summer and i came over with some ex-uni pals who wanted to get 'groovy'. I hit up the site, got some numbers and drove my pals there.
With class, its simple - you get what you pay for. I know places in west nairobi where escorts charge $150 for a pop. Yes they're classy but you pay through your nose.
Jamjam,
What's your budget? I know a place in Ngara that charges 2K per night. Nice, clean, hot showers with a decent restaurant. Its about 10 minutes drive from the CBD.

I stayed in Meridian Court Hotel which is very central and the rooms are big. You get a living room and one sleeping room for about 7000k for a double. If you book a single they will charge you extra with no further hassle. They now the game. There is a swimming pool on top of the hotel. They had great Indian food. I bargained the room down to 5500 for a double for 10 days. Could have gone lower I think.
I would stay there again, but it is a little expensive. Does anyone know of any better deals? Next time I would prefer an apartment, where I could come and go as I like with no further hassle. Been searching the net, and found a place called High Point Hotel that supposedly have some apartments: http://www.highpointcourt.com/
Other places: http://www.travel-library.com/apartm...kenya/nairobi/
Any suggestions and info would be highly appreciated.

But it has a good atmosphere and the girls are friendly (although take care of your drink, one of the girls told me to stay alert) so as a place to get some drinks before F2 get's filled is a good idea.
In F2 they have a dance group. One of the girls name is Yvonne. Tall with a great ass and body. She is available.
I also went to Gypsy Bar in Westlands. Great with some knock outs. Seemed a little higher class of girls and guys.
