Kenya Comfort is a bit more expensive for a double. Parkside 3000. Both are clean and safe and gf.

Kenya Comfort is not worth the price. Parkside has too many reports of theft, rude staff, lack of hot water and location noise (namely, from the buses out front) to make it an option for me.

Unless something has changed in the past year or so, nothing I know of in the CBD beats the Central Park Hotel for budget accomodations.

I tried Kenya comfort last year. Just opposite Parkside if I recall. Kenya Comfort was cheap, safe, well located, (same as Parkside really). The only thing was be careful with room selection as the rooms by the road are noisy from the street and the clanging lift. The rooms to the inside of the hotel are much quieter. OK Pizza place and ice cream parlour on ground floor and decent wifi.

Eye-dee required for all girls.

Its location is fine. As for getting around, the streets you would most likely walk on all have askaris. Close to Madhouse, Simmers, etc. If you wish numerous taxis line the street all night long. You will be fine. Nakumat is 24hr, there are people around. Doubt you will have any problem. That doesn't mean you take off on foot and walk over to River Road, etc.

By air / bus or train again.

So for one or two nights you can recomend the Parkside?

Terminal hotel opposite Nakumat. Clean, basic and functional 5 mts walk from Madhouse, two years ago was 1800ksh + 200 lsh joiner fee

You can try Parkside. Its just two blocks from Terminal. On the opposite side of Nakumat from Terminal, facing the street turn right and go about 1 1/2 blocks. You find it. At 3600 its much better and probably all you will find at that price.

I am coming to Nairobi to spend the last 2 days of my vacation. I don't like the Nairobi and will hook up with an old flame from last time but would like a slightly better hotel than Terminal and Downtown. Anything decent up to 4000KSH / night?

I can not claim to be an expert (I have only been to Nairobi ONCE) but I do agree with you.

When I visited last year I had NO PROBLEM in setting up meetings with several "20 something" freebie students before my trip.

All of them were HOT and not expecting any payment! (for FUN only.)

OK, it did take a bit of effort on my part before I went in setting up but, in my opinion it was WELL worth my investment in time.

2000- was the agreed rate which included photos, but when we got to the room she'd changed her mind deciding not to reveal too much to the camera, renegotiated 1500- photos plus a quickie! Waste of time and money 4/10.

Not sure about the Central Park Hotel, as I have always stayed at Chester House and have always been very pleased. I was just in Nairobi 2 weeks back for 10 days and there was plenty of black bootie around. I frequented Simmers and also Madhouse next to Chester with good results at both, also hooked up with a chic from Afro that turned out nice. I haven't been to MSA in over a year so I am not much help there. Have found that most Kenyan women are in dire need of some romance and that leads to some great times once you get their blood boiling.

I tested the Gill House. It was not good and not bad. You will find up to seven girls, most of them are slim and the faces are not so bad.
