When I visited Kampala a couple of years ago I realised that my kind of work was not an option there. Having been all over Asia and some of South America I wanted to see if it is possible to crack Africa.

I have a friend in Mombasa who works online, he says he has great net connection. I am trying to get my job fully online and base myself in Kenya but its proving tough getting my employer to agree.

I am a digital migrant and need a good connection for 4 hours or more at a time. I have been bumming around South America for over a year and feel it is time to move on. I have spent time in Uganda so should not be a huge culture shock. Discovering how much more expensive Chile is compared to Colombia or Brazil LOL.

Here is the closest thing to a plan I have, which I am ready to spring into action at the drop of a hat. Get a hotel near the black diamond and go there on a daily basis to find a girl to bring to my hotel. From what I read online the curfew is in effect but girls just work around it and leave by curfew. So instead of being there from like 8 pm to 3 am for example they will hang around from like 4 pm-9 pm. Black Diamond I was in last Saturday. I went from 7 pm to 9 pm, at least a dozen in there looking for money. You don't need to stay nearby really as uber is cheap. I stay in town and its only $2 max in uber. So BD, other bars, or the person to person street / mall approach is your way to go if your not going to use online. Badoo works for me in Nbi. No reliable websites in Kenya.
