Do not go by the on-line hotel booking rates. Give them a call. You will probably find that rates are significantly lower.

Actually, that was why I stayed at Chesterhouse over Hilton because CH only charged $124USD whereas Hilton listed a room rate of $160 plus the 28 percent tariff which tacked on an additional 50USD to the hotel bill. It is looking like one will either have to accept lower accommodation standards (if on a budget) or seek out places away from the CBD. Truth be told, I think my days of mongering around the CBD are over. Nairobi itself will strictly become a transit stop for me.

I stayed at Chesterhouse and was directly across the street, from MADHOUSE and I like the atmosphere. The huge bouncer, Benson I think, will take care of you. Simmers in walking distance too. There are also many.

Little bars in cubbyholes around CBD that you just have to know where they are. Women took me around. A really good one is directly across from Nations bank on BANDI ST. Heavy on Reggae music and a good place to relax. I saw very few mzungu there, I don't know why? Everyone there is professional after work crowd and some hotties are around.

Clubs already mentioned here are good for hunting, but not as central as CBD action.

A very real non-pro and her friend told me they are shy of white guys because everyone will think they selling p*ssy. So that is something to remember.

Next time I want to push my last limits and try Eastlands and beyond. Its like when I went to Jamaica. I stayed away from the all inclusives and had a blast with a local taking me around.

Name of the game is exploring new territory, not reinventing the wheel.

i only met three ladies at the upscale coffee houses. the first one was a maasai chick who i had communicated for about a year via skype off and on, but she copped an attitude when i showed up at the time i had said i would (it was a 30 minute change from earlier and she stuck with the earlier time which i could not due to kenya airways flight arriving late into nairobi). she did not try to gouge me, but i decided to not see her again because of her attitude and slightly non athletic body (translation: she lacked the typical kenyan booty i love). she actually was going to pay for her drink, but i took care of it. the second was an old friend who was actually celebrating her birthday, so i had no problem treating her and her brother to drinks. the third was a chick that had invited me to join her and her friends in malindi, but i had not planned for those expenses, so i declined. otherwise, i only met the ladies at my hotel which had a restaurant. hotel green court has a restaurant that is frequented by the locals, so the prices are reasonable, though just a tad bit higher than the local eateries in mombasa. so the ladies really could not chop my money too much there except if they ordered wine or beer. the last chick i was with at hgc was the one whose friend ordered a couple of beers and also chopped my 1k to nothing when she had asked for 200kshs for food from a nearby eatery. i beat that pussy up quite nicely because of that!
