I'm doing a lot of homework lately, reading the threads of Nairobi and Mombasa. Thinking of visiting Kenya for 10-14 days in September, and dividing my trip into two parts (Nairobi and Mombasa). Thinking of taking express train to Mombasa, hopefully see some nice view via window, and fly back later to Nairobi.

Tinder is crazy in a good way, so many fine looking women, especially in Nairobi (Mombasa is kind of low though) and most accounts do look real. Having quite some success. All Hotels are girlfriendly. But expect to be charged extra. Like it happened to me. Stayed in Central Park in Sheikh Karume several times. While I like the central location the start acting funny. Although I was charged resident rate of 3200 ksh. When I took a girl over night, they hit me with a surcharge of 800 ksh for double occupancy, in the past that was not an issue, I just had a "guest". Be aware that staying in CBD is not that exciting. I use it because I used to take busses its also close to most bus stages. For mongering and relaxing there is probably better areas like Westlands or even Karen. I always have loads of contacts on internet but I rarely use them as there is so much chicas roaming the streets. And its WYSIWYG. Well. I have a habit of hanging out at african places. Where you find beer you inevitably find chicas. It all depends. First, thank you to the others who referred Illusion Spa. I've been twice now. My experiences are mixed. You can read more below about location etc. All is accurate. Price for massage is KS 3,000. This is not cheap for Nairobi. About what you pay at a 5 star hotel, just FYI.

The place is safe, clean, quasi real spa with some masseurs offering extras.

My first time there was a great experience. You should get the opportunity to choose your masseuse from 7 + ladies. If you choose wisely, you will have a great experience. If you choose poorly, you will have a poor experience. My positive experience was w a gal who I had to very quickly judge to be enthusiastic and had a first good look at me and I her. I find this first look is most reliable and when I override it, I usually am disappointed. The positive experience was a great, legit massage and left me really satisfied.
