The higher end hotels tend to not be girl friendly in that regard. I know the high end places in Accra will tack on surcharge if front desk knows you had an overnight guest. That is why I do not like picking up random riff raff because I want a chick I don't have to worry about making a scene and bypassing the log book. One can best accomplish that at properties that do not require all room access to filter through the lobby or that has a restaurant on floor above reception floor. Just say you are going to the restaurant to thwart the security guy, press button for restaurant floor but stay on until you get to your floor if there are others that get in with you. Otherwise you would have to temporarily detour on restaurant floor since the elevator floor is usually indicated at lobby level.

I don't know the setup at all Serena's but I do know their business centers are on floor above lobby. So if you catch your pick in daytime, that could be a diversion you employ. I would simply ask if there is an additional room charge to have a masseuse "work" on me in my room. The only time I avoided room surcharge when staying at Nairobi Hilton was because I got free upgrade to Club level Executive room and there was no charge for me having a guest. Perhaps Serena affords it's club members same latitude.

Yes that's what I want to avoid as it will be a company bill and I don't want any surcharges to reflect on the bill

Have just spent two weeks in Nairobi during which time I made contact with more than half a dozen women from Afro.

Afro is ok, but Tagg, hi5 (which is just a second Tagg) is proving to be the site of choice. It's free with tons of women. I found it best to just come out and tell them what you want.

This is equivalent to the 2000 ksh reported here and it feels good to see your driver holding a sign for your name so you can whisk away with no lines or hassle.

I was thinking of prearranging an Afro connect to meet me in the wee hours of the morning but I'll just have a driver drop me off at Madhouse as it closes and walk to Simmers for breakfast.

Can I get a SIM card so early in the am? Do they work with IPhones or should I buy a cheap used phone in the US to use in Nairobi?

Mate, you can buy a decent and inexpensive phone in Nairobi for about $30-$40. You can cut the sim yourself. Do a search on the web, you will find a number of sites that will show you how. That is, if you decide to use your iPhone. If so, BE CAREFUL AND GUARD IT WELL. It can be snatched out of your hand before you know what happened and the thief will be long gone. As for breakfast, you can also walk over to Nakumatt. There's an outdoor restaurant that's not expensive. Good place to watch the "traffic" passing by. So too there are numerous small restaurants that are inexpensive such as those across from Nakumatt. You may find someone to your liking working or taking their breakfast/meals there. Regardless, you have endless options all around. Enjoy.

Iphone 5 takes the MicroSim. Have not seen a Safaricom microsim, but I'm sure you can get it cut somewhere. If you get Safaricom-REGISTER THE SIM! Or your phone will be cutoff in about two days.

In my experience, and I think the forum would agree, that they are mostly "semi-pro" as opposed to active sex workers. More so women in need of a little help because:

1. You need connections 2. Sleep with the boss. 3. Be in certain tribe- to get a job. So if you come along with pocket full of money, you are the source of something for a little fun in return. The more they can get, all the better.
