Hey guys I have heard that Nairobi and mombassa can be quite dangerous. Is the situation still the same. I plan on excersing common sence but what are things that one has to be avoided. I am staying in CBD and don't plan on going out at night except to maybe florida which I plan to take a taxi. Can you please shed some light.

Your safest bet is to stay at Chesterhouse. All you have to do is cross the street to FLorida, and it's perfectly safe at nights. Koinange street has heavy (plain clothes) police presence. I was told (by my local GF) that this is after it was featured in some television documentary showing hookers working the street. The police are there to stop streetwalking and will not bother you.

You can take a cab to Black Diamond.

During the day you have ATM across the street from Chesterhouse (in the petrol station) , Nakumat and Tuskys walking distance to your left (as you exit) , and Java House less than 10 minutes away. This makes Chesterhouse my one stop mongering HQ when in NBO. The fully functional kitchen is a big plus.

During my last stay I mainly remained inside the central business district. I finally got a non pro girl for which I was looking for. You think in the other parts of the town you get an easier catch? I don't talk about the bar-disco girls in florida, simmers and so on. My impression was it is not so easy to find a amateur company during daytime in CBD.

Another question: For my next trip maybe a fellow mongerer, who is a smoker will accompany me. I read smoking is prohibited in Kenya in public places. Are there bars, restaurants in Nairobi, where my friend can smoke or should I just forget taking him with me because of this?

There can be alot of hype about safety in African cities. True there are issues with car jacking late at night on some of the more remote roads. THE CBD however is pretty safe and I have regularly walked around certain areas at night. That being said you are alway safest getting taxis to and from your destination and get the number of a reliable driver that you can call when you want to go home. I would highly recommend highly recommend you venture out of the CBD as well.

mombasa has been part of the trade route arab peninsula, africa, india, arab peninsula following the winds. that for at least a thousand year, probably much longer. arabs are few and in between. indian arrived in larger number with the british as railway workes. i have never done an arab girl inn kenya, but one indian in mombasa and one very indian looking half indian in nairobi. both very wild, the indian in mombasa open to basicali everything (bondage, [CodeWord118] and so on).
