i have just come from an eight-day stay at chester house.

studio for 85 dollars us. good for 2 people/double rate.

very satisfied.

building hard-wired for high-speed internet which worked throughout my stay but for about 12 hours. (if you need really high-speed internet for streaming video and such, it will not suffice and you will need to get a 3g modem for your computer).

right across from florida and a five-minute walk from simmers.

no problem with guests, even revolving-door guests. they just need to present id in the lobby.

I don't know if this place still exists, did request a quote on their studios for my next stay in September both by e-mail and on their web site. No reply until today. Quite different with Chester House, which replied on the spot and answered my other questions a few hours later. Even though I would prefer NOA I guess I stay with my booking for Chester House.

BTW, anyone ever stayed at the Klub House? Heard that they not only have a bar/restaurant but also guest rooms. Ok for Mazungas like me?

Klub House would be insanely noisy to stay at. They do have rooms, within 50 meters of the various bars.

I feel very much shut out whenever I visit ( even though I enjoy cultural diversity in general and speak the language a bit ) , whereas I feel much more comfortable in Diani where we have a fairly large Italian population as well .
