I had the same problem. Even after I went to see a so called specialist in Nyali he couldn't see the problem.

Only back in Europe they could see these small buggers (mites) with a computer microscope.

So the problem is that even after the treatment with the permethrin cream the terrible itching continues even for months.

I now think it's a good idea to apply the cream on a regular base, just as a precautionary measure, like as it's done when there is an outbreak of scabies somewhere.

Just to prevent this itching again.

I think it doesn't make sense to use permethrine cream as prophylactic. Its bad shit. I don't want it on my skin. Its basically an insecticide. The problem with scabies. They come out 2 weeks later. So by the time you realize you got them its too late. But there's an alternative to chemical shit. Nature helps. Buy pure clove oil. Mix it with a basic skin cream and cover your whole body. Against the itching I'd use pure Aloe Vera body gel.

As for prevention I'd just spray a local available insecticide spray on the bed sheets, mattress and bed cover. That kills scabies as well as bed bugs straight.

I never had this problem in subsaharan africa except Ethiopia and I slept in a lot of cheap lodgings. I usually spray the whole room anyway as I move in. Once I was eaten alive by hidden moskitos. During they day they hide in cupboards.

With curfew and drivers striking uber and bolt. I would not travel till all of that is done with. Unless you don't mind staying in your apartment inviting girls over like myself. It could get frustrating. With uber and bolt running. Live anywhere airbnb but be ready to spend good cash on ubering the girls to your location. I lived in lavington, ngong, ngara, Westland. Once you press there you find the links for "download" and "print " the Visa.

However the issuing site states that they can not guarantee the number of days for the response.

One other thing is that you have to fill in a self-statement about your health etc, once you completed that and send it in they will send you a QR code that you have to show upon arrival, as far as I understand.

Nowadays one prefers to book everything later than early. Site says process needs your return ticket, hotel address and a new colour photo.

You get your E-Visa very fast. 1-2 Working Days. In February I did the E-Visa 2 Weeks before my Flight to Mombasa and got it the next Day.

For Airline Ticket I just upload an Screenshot from the Mail with the Flight. My Picture was about 4 or 5 Years old. The Hotel address was not correct and for the required Hotel Reservation I uploaded an Screenshot from my Whatsapp Conversation with the Hotel Owner haha. They don't check all these things very accurately.

Quite simple. I spent only three weeks in Addis for the simple reason I had another three weeks before my work contract started in Europe. Out of the three weeks I was there I was down the better time of 2 weeks with malaria. Plus 2 weeks later I was hit with another souvenir from Ethiopia. Scabies. The shit itched for weeks. So do yourself a favor. Avoid cheap guest houses like the plague. To sum it all up. There was not much to report mongeringwise about Ethiopia.

The other reason I want to go to Rio is primarily for a change and now with very favorable exchange rates and Madagascar closed for the foreseeable future I am planning Rio. Of course you can still find plenty of pussy in Uganda or Kenya. But with this curfew BS its just not enjoyable. And I always wanted to try out Brazilian bundas. If you have never been in Rio or Brazil then you should go. In my opinion Rio de Janeiro is most beautiful city that I seen, and I have seen lot of them (Cape Town is second).

Everybody should visit Rio and Brazil once in their lifetime. But, people think that there is lot of night life in Rio because carnival there is so famous, but that is not true, night life is quite boring. Sao Paulo is capital of night life and also mongering, but it is otherwise so big merda whole city, that I cannot recommend for tourist to visit there. Also if you go to Brasil in carnival time, Salvador and Refice are towns that brasileans go for carnival.

Brazilian women and bundas. Enough reason to travel to Brazil. But Rio is not a mongering destination like before, you can see often people looking and asking in the Forum "atmosphere like in Rio when Help was still there". That was 10 years ago, but still missing it.

I am happy nowadays to travel to East Africa, sad that my excellent Portuguese skills are worthless here. And too lazy to learn Swahili.
