I'm planning a trip to Mombasa in October. Hopefully ill be vaccinated by then and the worst of COVID will be over, fingers crossed.

Hotel vs Airbnb. What do you recommend? Does the average Airbnb host have issues with a guest bringing over a new girl every day? Does hotels? I'm planning on renting a whole apartment. No they do not have such in Mombasa. You could go in to Town and look at the small clothing stalls / shops locals have but the majority is second hand. You won't get the fake designer stuff like in Asia.

Today The picking time in Casuarina was extremely short!

Until 19:30 - 19:45 the place was very empty. Than a few Girls arrived, but not much. And at 20:45 they already turned the Lights on! Not many people there et all. Interesting is that you have to leave the place with a mask on, but staying inside without is ok. I don't understand that.

Yes I noticed that the picking time at casuarina is very Short.

You have to go and to choose.

What I'm missing is getting some kind of ST. When you Go to Casuarina there are only LT on offer.

And I don't always want to take a girl overnight.

As curfew is 10 pm maybe they are worried if you leave Causarina at 9 pm then it is too risky for a ST and they don't get home in time?

ST I usually pay 2 k, I don't do LT but if so I would give 2 k or 3 k.

Thanks for update, I'm hoping to get back to Mombasa in May or June. I like LT. Couple of rounds at night and again in the morning before sending them on their way. What are the LT prices like in Casaurina? I guess there aren't many guys around so you can get a bargain. Is Sheba open?

I have read many posts like don't go to the hinterland, don't walk here and there, even in daytime, it's dangerous here and dangerous there. Only use Uber to move around. Stuff like that. And on the other hand side you suggest buying a dirtbike and explore the hinterland and go hiking. It's sounds for me a bit paradox. Can you really move that freely to do all those activities?

Mombasa is safe as long as you use common sense. Don't be flash, don't wander off at night into strange areas.

Africa is dangerous. You might get killed and robbed anytime. Don't go there.
