Hi everyone,

Been to Asian loads of times, Colombia and few places in Europe but really want to try Africa as I love black girls.

I've read the forum and I can see that it is often recommended to stay in mtwapa but I'm wondering if this is the best location for me.

I want somewhere near nightlife or cheap taxi fare away but want to be close to a gym and a supermarket if possible as I like to cook my own food.

Which area do you guys recommend?

I stayed at Ziwa beach resort. Location is good because it is between a couple of big fancy hotels and there is only a short walk from the main road past the entrance to fancy hotel. No going along dangerous dark dirt roads. They have cooking facilities, though they are shared with the occupant of the next door apartment (when I was there it was empty: tourism in Mombasa is not what it used to be). There is a gym next door in Indiana beach apartment hotel which you can use for a reasonable price (it is basic but adequate; like everything in Africa it is not well maintained but OK for a couple of weeks).

You could also stay at Indiana apartment hotel, they have cooking facilities too and no dark dirt road to get there, but I preferred the ambience of Ziwa rooms.

Bamburi is between nyali and mtwapa. There are a couple of supermarkets near in nyali (regular matatus, tuktuks and taxis outside the hotel) and also I believe a gym in the building which contains Sheba lounge (which is near, on the border between bamburi and nyali).

Sheba was quite a fun place, as was the lounge on the ground floor of the same building. I actually picked up a freebie regular girl who had her own car on my first night there, and ended up shagging her for the rest of the holiday, so can't say too much about the girls. I did head to casaurina in mtwapa one night and wasn't impressed: Sheba seemed to have much better lookers.

Banhoff club is no more due to fire, probably insurance claim or the owners have fallen out with someone. Casarinhas will probably get the customers now.

If you'e not been to Africa, beware. Colombia is a cake walk and EU is even easier. Mombasa is NOT what you think it is. If you want to go to Africa my suggestion would be to start somewhere far easier than Mombasa. Bamburi beach is an isolated area. You'll be down a long dirt road that you need to take a taxi in and out of to go anywhere. There is no-place around for snacks etc, the hotels are not western standard and the 'dream' of black girls. Well. Probably not what you're thinking of. Mtwapa and Mombasa at large is a shit dirty town and it's a long way to travel for what you think is paradise but is really a kind of hell. Or. Take the plunge and let us know what happened. Personally, with my limited knowledge I would start in somewhere like Addis.

I use sai rock apartments, they have cooking facilities, on bamburi beach so good location as it is between Mtwapa and Nyali. The gym is okay, not western style standard but you can get a good workout if your a regular trainer.

Location (Cowrie Shell), Public Beach, yes that's for family entertainment, girls there are not looking for muzungu there.

Maybe you did not have a chance to meet girls in shops, offices, matatus etc.

Once I was in matatu sitting next to a girl and although I was not planning anything I decided just for fun to talk to her and see if she would come to me. Gave her my number and yes, after a while she called me. She was good as well.

And how many times it was mentioned that you will find nothing like Pattaya & the like in Mombasa.

Good for you mate! Just a very small piece of advice, read all Neddy69, Naked Gunz, Mombie75 and the posts of 2018 and you'll be pretty safe. Four weeks from today I should be hunting for my second night in Nairobi or doing one of my two ST girls.

Pulling into Mombasa I realized I was in a nightmare.

Cowrie was not the nice upscale beach huts I had imagined
go to Bamburi market to change
Pirates was dead. . It appeared to be a public part of the beach

I went to a few more bars near Pirates
Tried Lolipop strip bar.
Casaurina is the 'happening' place

All said. Mombasa was just about the most dire place I've tried to monger,

YMMV. But for beautiful and plentiful girls in a good setting with nicer people around you. Try a country that doesn't smell like BO. Brazil, Thailand, PI, Havana, just about anyplace.

Of course. Sometimes I read here some bad comments about Mombasa / mtwapa / bamburi.

I know Kampala / some Uganda city's (see my report there), Zanzibar (nothing to do) and a little bit Daressalam. So I hope it will be not a horror trip.
