I write a report of the hotels nearby Big Tree, read my previous messages. Then there is Big Tree itself of course, you don't have to go to look for girls because they come to Big Tree.

I'm planning to go to Mombasa in the summer holidays. Do you guys have some girlfriendly hotel recommendations? I was thinking of the Kahama Hotel, but their website seems to Nairobi exclusive, their link to the Mombasa branch goes nowhere.

Bamburi is perfect. Just give a wide berth if you see somebody in uniform armed with an AK47 or G3. Or you prefer a pristine beach with the occasional hookers thrown in, then choose Diani.

If staying in Nyali what are the best pickup spots as haven't found too much to my liking on Tinder around Mombasa. I've been to Casuarina in Mtwapa and found that hit and miss. I also picked up from Sheba in Nyali but was pretty quiet during the week. Found Hypnotica had more BBW size girls which I'm not into.

Me and many others never paid 10 K to the police for nothing. They can demand it but paying are mainly those who call others stupid.

What Totem is drawing at. It was a setup for which Bamburi Police is known for decades. I know of plenty of people who paid through the nose. What is key is the Tourist Police has no power to actually arrest you. Of course as a unsuspecting tourist you don't know that.

Obviously this madam was in cahoots with Bamburis finest.

The whole thing can land you in hot water, though. But the main goal is to blackmail you into handing over substantial sums of money. If you're tough and refuse, they might call over the regular police, which does have the power to arrest you. But then again they cannot blackmail you any more. You go into a nice stinking cage over night. If you're unlucky they book you Friday afternoon. That means they have to time work on you until Monday morning, as there's no judge available over the weekend. Also in Kenya you can be arrested only for 24 hours legally, before you have to be presented in front of a judge usually in Shanzu law court. Now then it's where is getting interesting.

The tricky question now is if the madam with her "minor" 20 year old will actually risk to testify, which I don't believe she will. Because then SHE goes to jail as pimping according to the same sexual offences law is also an offence.

So it's a good 'ol police scam. If you threaten them with police oversight, they will go to jail and lose their jobs.

But best is to avoid this very easy scam. When I read Totems story, it smelled like set up 1000 miles away.

Relax, the fact that for horror stories it is necessary to quote from other forums shows how unlikely this is to happen. Kenyans don't do harm unless the Muzungu has behaved inappropriately before. Thats is a general line and missfortune can happen everwhere in the world.

In 11 years I had one scary encounter with policemen and it resulted in paying two Tusker after being threatened by a Kalashnikov for one hour.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Most people that it happened to will not write about it.

"That's is a general line and misfortune can happen everywhere in the world." - I see this response all time in threads for different destination as soon as somebody reports an incident that happened. Someone that has been lucky and never had something happened to him then he sits on his high horse.

My posts are a reminder to those how goes to this thread expecting everything will be fine when they visit. Yes it may be unlikely this specific scenario will happen but scams in Kenya are around every corner.
