Tinder or chicks on the ground

Uber and bolt when not striking can take you every where within $7 or less inside Mombasa area. If you are an app site person you can live anywhere. Pay for girls uber they will come. But if you like to see girls walk by mtwapa and bamburi area I guess.

    Changes in bar closure time

From today, bars are opening in Mombasa area at 7 pm, before it was 9 pm. What I have understood is that this is same thing in whole country.

So in Nairobi bars are opened also, and Nairobi is not closed anymore, you can travel there and from there.

Curfew still starts at 10 pm, so there is three hours now to go home after bars are closed.

I visited Casourina, there were few people there, not many. No Sunday dance competition. This is sad, Casourina started to be very lively already, on that one and half hour period that people were spending there, when it was still closing at 9 pm or 21 o'clock.

No idea how long this bar closure time will continue, nothing was announced. Rumours say that one month, but those are just rumours.

    World Remit continued

    .
For the benefit of WorldRemit I can now declare that after 6 weeks I have received a return of my stolen money.

It took however a continuous relentless and persistent pushing of their help-desk before they took up the case seriously and finally concluded that it was indeed a case of fraudulent cashing of the money-transfer.

Anyway it is better to use the direct transfer of money to mobile phone accounts, as these become now available in more African countries.

    The test: http://www.oraquick.com/.

In a cheap area I paid for them 150 KES each, in a nicer area 500 KES. Depends on the pharmacy and if you're paying white person prices.

I take Tenvir them, which is the generic variant of the better known Truvada. In my country homosexuals can get them freely, but not regular people (they don't want to encourage unprotected sex), I declared I'm homosexual but they didn't believe me, so I had to order it online, but then you need a prescription. In my case my native language is hard to translate so I sent a general letter of recommendation but not actual prescription, somehow it went through and I got the pills.

It costs 1 $ per pill. You take it once a day roughly at the same hour, and must not forget to take them. If you miss a day, you can get HIV. Supposedly all people that did get HIV while taking these pills missed a day. But there's not enough research.

Yes, there are morning-after pills and one of the girls I was with took one.

    Interesting Report

    Thanks a lot Delongi!

I didn't know there were home HIV tests! How much are they?

I think if you contract HIV it takes 1-3 months to show up. I thought this made the test useless, but, after a quick search, if you can't detect it, you can't transmit it. Very interesting!

Can I ask, how much does the anti-HIV medicine you take cost? And can girls get the morning after pill in Kenya?

I don't think it's hard to get laid here every night by 7+ looking girls. But I like unprotected sex so I aim a bit higher than call / bar girls to reduce chance of HIV (I take Tenvir-them pills every day of course). That takes a bit more investment. I also want these girls to be available when I come back to Mombasa in the future. Stable girls are more likely to be around and healthy than call / bar girls. I'm staying here for a month so I'm in no hurry. Also I'm finding my libido isn't what it used to be, I need a day to recharge between encounters.

Exactly. Had a long talk with a sharp girl yesterday, she said accounting / office management pays 18 K-30 K depending on seniority.

It seems like there are 3 types of population in Kenyan cities:

    1. People living in sheds, paying 5 K / month for a basic 1-room shed. Lots of Mtwapa girls come from there.

    2. Middle-class citizens living in buildings, paying 20 K+ per month for a small apartment.

    3. Corrupt government officials / police (apparently they're all corrupted), and high-paying jobs in very specific government-regulated sectors like medicine. Apparently to reach these jobs you must have connections and bribe the correct people. These jobs pay 140 K / month.

Salary stats on various sites are misleading, they often poll foreigners working in Kenya in well-paying jobs, they don't represent the average Kenyan.

Day 6: I was drained from the previous night and decided to take a day off sex and recover some missed sleep.

Day 7: Called over my old contact with the amazing body from day 4. Went down on her but I think she faked an orgasm. Wanted to fuck her without rubber but she said she wants us to get HIV-tested first. Offered to suck me instead. I started coming in her mouth and she ran to the toilets to wash her mouth. Said it's the first time it happened to her. Afterwards she started kissing me passionately, sucked my tongue real hard, laid down over me, grabbed my wimpy dick that wasn't yet ready for another round and started using it to rub her clit. It felt weird to me. Turns out that's her way of masturbating. Took her several minutes of sucking my tongue and rubbing her clit with my dick till she came off. Very weird experience, I felt I was being used, but enjoyed it. To each his own. She seemed more relaxed afterwards. We went to the hotel's pool and she asked me to take photos of her (I have a good smartphone with a good camera), I took a slow-motion video of her splashing in the water and she was amazed and later shared it to her social networks.

We took the bike and went to eat lunch at the Char-Choma restaurant (highly recommended, beautiful setting on the beach), then I took her shopping at mtwapa. At the store she tried on a few dresses and kept asking if the price is ok, for one of the items she said it costs 150 (1.5 $) so I told her "heck, go ahead and buy the whole store" and went out to buy some water. Came back 5 minutes later and she was haggling with the merchant over a 9000 bill. Now that's starting to be serious money, I shouldn't have been that confident. Since I don't carry a credit card on me and that bill would have finished all my cash I told her to take 3000 KSH worth of clothes and put the rest aside and we'll come back tomorrow. She did. I returned the bike to the store since I wanted to rent a car instead (impresses girls more, and there's AC). We took a tuktuk back to the hotel and made a stop at a pharmacy to pick up HIV testing kits, then went to a car agency to pick up a car, and back at the hotel. At the hotel we took the tests, went down to the pool, when we came back the results were ready and we were both clean. We had sex, she rode me and held by hands down till I exploded into her. She came off my dick and blood-stained cum flowed down on the bed. She was starting her period. And I forgot to put a towel down before. Ugh. Later that evening we were thinking what to do the next day, she somehow put it into her head that I rented a car to go with her to Diani beach (1.5-2 hours drive from Bamburi, including a ferry on the way, and terrifying driving experience), told her it's a bit too far and that we should find something closer. While I was searching for attractions she fell asleep on the sofa. Woke her up and she went to sleep in bed. I was a bit vexed since I planned on fucking her again before sleep.

Day 8: The next morning she overslept, then started watching stuff on her phone and ignoring me, didn't return back kisses, didn't talk to me. After a hour of that I decided not to waste the day with her that way and told her I'll drive her back home. She was a bit shocked. Offered her to go to breakfast together. She was very silent during the way and at the restaurant. I grabbed her hand and cupped it, asked her what's wrong, she started tearing up and finally admitted she was angry about not going to Diani beach. Tried to explain to her again that it's a long drive, the specific attraction she wanted to go to wasn't an option due to the opening hours (some excursion starting early). Felt bad for her and did want to see her in the future so told her we're going to grab the rest of the clothes from yesterday. We went to the shop and I gave her 6000 KSH and told her I'm staying at the car. Knowing that she might actually keep part of the cash to herself and not to buy clothes, that way she doesn't take money directly from me and can keep her pride. We continued to drive to her mother's house, where I dropped her off and told her mother and younger sister Hi. Her sister is 15 years old with very bulging breasts, wearing no bra. I wonder if they dangled her in front of me on purpose. Happened several times that girls mentioned their younger sisters and showed me pictures of them. Not touching that, I heard Kenyan jails aren't very nice. Immediately when I left she started texting me and telling what she couldn't tell me to my face and wanted us to disconnect and block whatsapp. I tried to rationalize with her and calm here (good luck, with an emotional girl on her period). An hour later she texts me she needs money to take a taxi from her mother to her place (they live apart). I went to charge my m-pesa and sent her some as a goodwill gesture. Later that night she said she misses me already, so I guess I'll be seeing more of her after all.

Some waitress girl was messaging me the past few days, told her I'll come have lunch with her. She lives in the southern shore, which is problematic since there's no road connecting it to Mombasa island. You need to take a ferry to cross. When I reached Mombasa island some idiot tutkuk that was standing at the side of the road barged into my lane and I slowed down to avoid collision. The guy behind me must have been playing with his phone or something and bumped into my car. BOUM! Rental car. Great. There goes my day. Turns out the guy behind him bumped into him as well. 3-way accident. And the tuktuk driver ran away of course. I call the rental agency, they say involve the police. I talked to the two other drivers, they say the police are useless and you'll have to bribe them anyway, it will get more expensive for everyone. One of them had an uncle with a garage, we decided to go there and fix the cars. My damage was 4500 KSH. Even though I was not to blame I decided to pay since it's a small sum, and the others had more substantial damages. It turned out well since I broke the car's mirror and got a scratch the day before while passing by some minibus that started driving while I overtook it, same situation as with the tuktuk today. So got that fixed as well for another 1 K. Very decent price, due to the family discount. If I'd come alone I'd be charged 3 x that at least. Shared a tuktuk with the guy that bumped into me, his home was on the way back to my hotel. While waiting for useless Uber he invited me up to his home to refresh a bit, and introduced me to his wife and kids. Probably wanted to create an emotional connection in case the car rental agency aren't satisfied with the repairs and ask me and him to pay up more. The bastard was well-off and had an apartment on the island overlooking the river. And he dodged the bill. Well, Arabs. Always trying to make or conserve money, morals be damned.

Told the waitress I couldn't meet her, went back to the hotel, and wanted a girl for the night. Started pinging various badoo and tagged contacts, it was getting near curfew time but one replied, from Mtwapa. Said she has no way of coming to my place, told her I'll come pick her up. Picked her up, brought her back to my hotel at Bambouri. We talked about her family. Same story as always: no father, elder child that's expected to work and help the rest of the family. Works at a massage parlor in Shanzu, says she doesn't do sex and happy endings but other workers there do. And due to Covid no one's coming. I wasn't convinced but she seemed a relatively innocent girl so I fucked her without rubber. She didn't seem to mind (which is scary). We went to sleep and I fucked her again the morning. She didn't ask for money but I told her since her work place is struggling I want to help her. She agreed and I slipped 4 K into her purse. Sent her on her way.

Day 9: Went on lunch with an intelligent student, we had a very interesting 4-hours conversation about her family and Kenyan traditions. Came to Mombasa from the other side of the country, parents are paying for education, expecting her to start working when she gets her diploma and start sending back money. She has a sharp mind and good humor. I want her as a long-term friend. I didn't offer to bring her back to my place or anything insulting, drove her back home. She then texted me she's willing to meet again. The waitress has been trying to contact me again, I felt sorry for her never managing to meet me, told her I'll meet her halfway on Mombasa island (she's from the southern shore), but even so it wouldn't have left us much time to talk before curfew. Told her she can come to my place, we'll have talk and no sex, I have a second bedroom and she can use it. She arrived, I paid for her taxi. She's a very sweet girl, the "neighbor's daughter", flat breast, not very good looking, hard-working as a waitress in a restaurant 11 hours / day, day-in day-out without doing any activities. Worked there for free as in intern for a while till they let her have a paying job, left her quarrelling parents in Nairobi to get some peace and quiet in Mombasa. Taught herself to swim in a pool. That's rare for a Kenyan girl, they all seem scared of water. Now here's a girl really trying to change her fate. She shares a place with a girlfriend that went away on a 1-month vacation with her boyfriend. And her restaurant got harassed by the police that day and might get closed. Poor girl was exhausted and just needed a soul to talk to. I felt really sorry for her and didn't push for sex as I normally would. We watched some Netflix, talked, and I let her go to sleep in the second bedroom. The next morning we went to the hotel pool, and I sent her on her way and gave her 2 K for taxi. We decided to go snorkeling together on her day off in a few days.

    Things I learned:

    * Uber is utter trash here. You select the destination, get an estimation of 3 minutes till a driver reaches you, a few minutes later the driver calls and asks where you are and where you need to go. They seem to not receive the route details. Then the driver just hangs around doing shopping somewhere and finally arrives after 15 minutes. This has happened in 4 out of 6 times I used this shitty service. It's more of a chatting application to a random driver in your area.

    * Driving here is very stressful. Especially in urban areas. If you can't predict the zigzags and crazy traffic patterns you will most likely have an accident. Drive very, very carefully, but not too carefully since Kenyans don't expect that and will bump into you.

    * If you're used to drive on the right side of the road (which is the RIGHT side to drive on! Be careful not to drive too close to the road shoulder, lots of tuktuks and motorbikes bulge into the leftmost lane.

    * There's nothing much to actually do in Mombasa besides the girls. Not many parks or attractions. And even those are lame. The only significant attraction is the Safari but that's 5 hours away so you probably need 2-3 days dedicated to that.

    * Girls here don't have good phones and can't take good pictures of themselves. They want good pictures to put on their profile photos. Especially ones where they live the good life, being in a good restaurant or on the beach. Try finding an expensive-looking setting. I think good pictures are as important as money to them (it's a way for them to attract future men), you maybe can get away with just that as payment. Plus as long as their pictures are being "hostages" on your phone they're being extra-nice.

    * If you got a water-resistant phone you can take pictures in the pool, which girls adore.

    * Try bringing a dual-SIM phone so you can get SMS messages on your primary line when authenticating to websites, and can make local calls and get internet on the Kenyan line.

    * Pharmacies here charge insane prices for everything when they see a white guy. Try sending in your black girlfriend to do the shopping for you instead.

    * If you promise a girl to take her shopping, set a clear budget for that ahead of time, so she's not disappointed when you buy less than she hoped for. Manage expectations.

    * A lot of places here use m-pesa and not credit cards (a kind of digital money, everyone can send to everyone, not just customers-to-businesses like credit cards). Using it is cumbersome for foreigners since you need to get money from an ATM and find an "m-pesa dealer", give him cash and he tops-up your m-pesa account. Then you need to download and install the m-pesa app which is tied to a local SIM. It should be possible to use services like Worldremit and paypal to transfer directly from credit card to m-pesa but I haven't managed, my home country is usually not supported.

Easiest way to get girls in Mwtapa is still Casourina in my opinion. But action time is from 19.30 to 20.50 o'clock. Or even 20-20.45 o'clock, before that there are not many girls. And during week it may be quite silent, on Sunday there are more people because of dancing competition.

Places that are open after curfew in Mwtapa have been silenced by police. Once so active Green Wood close at 9 pm, I think nobody goes there anymore. Prime Comfort, I think it is silent now also after police raided it and arrested many.

Zodiac, only few people known by management are allowed inside, so that is not a place to find girls either.

There are places that are open whole night in Nyali but those places also it is better to go with your own girl.

This calling some girl to visit. It is very frustrating. They are hours late. And if at some point they don't answer to phone anymore, or phone is closed, you can be sure that they are not coming. That happens very often. In curfew times normally it is too late to call some replacement since it is forbidden to move already when you realize that girl is not coming after all.

The average Kenyan is poor and many are starving.

However a lot of cars worth over 5 million Ksh are on the streets.

  10. #4396
Indeed, the salary figure is way off. A basic laborer earns 300-700 KSH a day in Nairobi, less in other cities and much less in rural areas. With 140 k a month you'd be living like a king.

  11. #4395
Basic jobs like in a bank, reception, office will pay around 15-30 k a month. To earn 147 k a month you will need a very good job in Nairobi, a big law firm or NGO.

  12. #4394

    Statistics

I don't know who is making these statistics and how they are making them, but this average income of 14.000 ksh per month does really not correspond to the majority of the population. I think you are lucky in Kenya if you earn indeed a fraction of that amount.

If you look for the unemployment rate in Kenya in the official statistics again you will see a rate of around 5 %.

Again this is unbelievable. About 50 % would be more close to reality I would say. , especially concerning the youth.

In Kenya I hardly met someone with a regular income or indeed with a real job.

  13. #4393

    Looks like it is

I didn't believe the number either. But http://www.salaryexplorer.com/salary...=111&loctype=1.

    Higher than the Philippines.

Interesting report. Sounds a little tougher to get P4P than I'd expect.

    Ummm, No.

Not poking at you, I mean no offense, but wherever you got that number from is completely wrong. Even the Govt of Kenya own statistics show over 70% of the country's population is rural; all major international development orgs calculate that over 70% live at subsistence, that is Just-barely-above-poverty levels.

Perhaps you meant 14 K KSh / month?

Anyway, bravo for a smashing report.
