There's no sense in continually complaining about the situation in Mombasa. It's not going to change, nor can you as an individual influence change on this forum by ranting and raving about the prices paid by others. I think I speak for everybody here when I say that a change of venue is long overdue and you should start looking for cheaper destinations. I know that you tried Ghana sometime back with miserable results but West Africa is a different game, mentality and is not for everybody. Not to mention, far from cheap! Hopefully you've put that all behind you now and are ready to venture out of your comfort zone again and try another country?

If not, and you're still intent on coming back to Kenya with the same expectations, then spare yourself (and us) the frustration and forget about Mombasa. Instead, try looking up-country in order to find small towns more conducive to cheap mongering. I'm sure others here are more informed than I as to the specific areas you should try. However, if you opt down this road, you might just find out that even cheap pussy in these places comes at a price in terms of time and travel on rough African buses, suspect safety conditions, marginal accommodations, the lack of beautiful beaches / bikini clad girls / Western style restaurants / pubs and most of all, the heart break of not being in the company of your beer guzzling buddies and the conversations you could of had going about other mzungus paying too much in Mombasa!

Willyboy, As long as I'm correcting a typo above, I might add that I'm somewhat like you. I would never pay more than 2k shs or the equiv in any 3rd world country. I ended up in East Africa because the African Americans fucked up the market so bad in the Dominican Republic (Sosua) , that I had to move on. All I'm saying is that you do the same, as things are not likely to reverse course.

I strongly suggest that you give Uganda a shot next. Cheers!

My last trip to Mombasa, I had no problem paying 1500 for girls in mombasa town. But I agree with John, prices are going up and its harder to find girls for KES1500. Two years ago I use to pay 1200 in simmer nairobi but now they all want 2500.

Girls with smartphones, pc tablets, nice schoes end dress. All last new.

I with my 2k / night. I was going back to my hotel after disco. Alloon sleeping.

There are two separate issues as follows:

1. Price is raising all over the world. Things changed.

2. Girls now can choose the guy they like so if they don't like someone they quote unrealistic price. This is true for the opposite direction so if they like someone they can go even for free in the extreme case.

Kenya got spoiled and expensive, better mongering destinations out there.

Willyboy I never pay more than 1000/2000 Ksh but not in Mombassa / Nairobbi but in the small city's book a hotel in small city where the tourist onle passed and have a good time. I.

It is my place for fun and I get always what I want.

Do you have examples of these small cities where you have been already. If it's possible with some info more.

No prob finding it, but that means you limit yourself to maybe 30 or 40% of the talent pool. Furthermore, chances are high that she's a hardcore pro.

Civilian girls in Kenya have all been told by somebody that it's "unnatural" and disgusting and very very painful. Therefore, my success rate with non pros is very low, and I assure you, it's not for lack of trying!

Is it quite or still going? Would you recommend two guys going down there at that time of the year? We figured we need some relaxation from just finishing our university studies then. Is it better to stay in Mombasa or Mtwapa? Or is it close enough to not matter.

Just a warning about the place. I will be there ready for a good pizza end of March.

At night its paradise. Quite and save I think. Just was wondering about lucio. He realy don't care I think.

Not only in BT; I heard it many times that local guests made
a copy of the keys.

BT charged me for 4 weeks apx 120kksh; sorry; not for that equipement.
I ve booked the Luck Apartments in Mtwapa.
