That's the sense I have to, that many of them are under the illusion/have convinced themselves that they are really searching for a husband/BF/sponsor/benefactor, etc.

I was in Nairobi 3 times last year. To times I met with the same girl. And yes it very quickly developed into a quasi relationship. If she didn't hope for marriage she hoped for being connected to someone (a contact of mine) who could provide her with a better job.

If she refuses, let her go, you will get another. See, that's the beauty of this place. The malayas are so many at this time of the year, so nobody should make you overpay, unless you want to, or she is a supermodel or something.
