Hi all,

So far I have restricted my mongering trips to Nevada, Germany, Netherlands and Thailand. I'm very intrigued by Kenya and Mombasa in particular. I like dark skinned ladies. The problem is that I know absolutely nothing about the country or the mongering scene. I can do my own research on the country, and this site is certainly helpful for the scene but is there any other forum that has particular help for newbies to mongering in Kenya / Africa? It is quite daunting thinking about a trip where the risks are greater than in other mongering destinations (my perception). I'm looking for some newbie info in relation to P4P in Mombasa / Nairobi.

Sofia Baharini. It is not in the beach, but you can walk from there to beach. Baharini shopping center is in walking distance.

I always use that one, reasonable prizes. Bidibadu is more expensive I think? I remember one tourist went to first to try to Bidibadu but then came to Sofia Baharini because did not like rate of room.

One time, I make appointment for price. 800 ksh from mtwapa to town. The taxi driver was stopping middle of noway land entrance Mombasa town en say. This end for you. Stay out of my car for 800 ksh or pay 500 ksh extra for moi ave.

If you can pay less than 2000 ksh from Mtwapa to airport. I will laern from this prices.

In airport, taxi driver will asking from you + 3000 ksh.

You don't know what Uber is.

Uber is not a Taxi its a private car used as taxi.

Taxi has more tax to pay to the governments so its twice as expensive then Uber.

Because of a long delay in the traffic jams 30 shilling were added.

The Uber rates vary, depending on the day, the time of the day and the number of taxis available. Sometimes they have also extra reductions. Once I had a rate under 1000, I thought it was a mistake, but it turned out to be true. Anyway you can give the driver a tip then.

There is also Taxify, now called Bolt, but the rates are about the same as Uber, most of the time, but it's good to check them when Uber is very busy.

Anyway the situation is dramatically better than before, when you had to negotiate for a long time to get a rip-off rate after all.

From Bamburi to Moi Airport Uber estimated 1500.1600 kes for me, last januari. Bamburi is closer to the airport than Mtwapa, so 1100. Unlikely.

Moi to Mtwapa can be 1100 ks on uber. I did Moi to Bamburi beach return recently and it was 800 ks one way and 900 ks back. Extra 300 ks to Mtwapa makes sense.

And oh yes. The second free pizza in Big Tree is on Wednesdays, same in La Follia at Mtwapa Mall on Sundays and 25 % reduction on everything in Safari Inn restaurant at Shanzu beach side on Thursdays.

I was in April in mtwapa. I am more a young one and more the adventure typ. I had some good girls there. My best experience was with girls from the internet (tinder) or connections (ask driver). The most ones (like other told) has kids.

And I make a small Map with the important locations.
