Hey pole man, mvua huwangukia wema and wabaya. Trickery can get us all, however careful. Am not saying I have never been deceived, I have. You start to trust someone and then they act like a cancer from within to eat you up. But I always keep an eye on my beer and don't leave it til I have finished it. Hopefully that way I will never have it laced. Apparently girls hide it in their fingernails so, just when you are looking the other way (at a pretty girl passing by! ) the one sitting next to you will drop it into your drink. Glad have never met such a girl, so far.

The photos were not taken by me, neither were they taken the day I was with them. But I suspect the guy in the picture could have been a victim in the making.

ok, lets consider several things, and maybe some pitfalls to avoid. first, if you drink in bars in bamburi and bombolulu you automatically need to be careful who you meet and sit with. only go to the suburbs with ladies you know already. and the money you save on the cost of a beer in the slums (50 kes a bottle) is no more than what it costs to get there. so its best to drink in reputable places like cheers or casaurina. there's a pleasant bar outside kahama hotel, open air and shady. pricey maybe but then you don't meet such undesirables, so you save money in the long run.
secondly, avoid sitting with two or three people. i assume you chose the very pretty one of the two in the photos. so, just ask the other one to leave and then sit with one girl. then when you leave, leave with one girl and check whether she says goodbye to any men. (might as well do some of your own observations because its your own life that may be at risk) and always be on the look out for any sign of men who are with them or monitoring them. even in your photo there is the arm of a male on or near the girl's shoulder. was he perhaps plotting with her the next spiking? so try to avoid girls who sit and drink with local young men. sorry to say but its your life you want to preserve. there are plenty of hot girls who have nothing to do with such men. reminds me of some years ago, i met a hottie at carnivore, was just about to leave with her when two kenyan men approached her and walked her out to a waiting vehicle, i saw her get in and there were about 6 men in the vehicle. i feared for her safety that night, the mind boggled about the possibility that she underwent a thorough gang-bang all night, leaving her unable to stand up or sit down. i never saw her again. so always be careful. if in doubt, stay away from anything that looks suspicious. its easy to speak in hindsight, but this site is for people with experience in africa and elsewhere to pass on gems and tips that will hopefully help newcomers to avoid the same mistakes. in that hottie's case, as indeed in yours, you are lucky even to live to tell the tale, because many have been killed in similar circumstances. certainly if you find a thief in the act of stealing, just remain silent, don't kick up a fuss or he may just opt to finish you there and then with the knife he has in his pocket. let him go with it and you stay alive to tell the tale and to buy another phone or another wallet. my wife's two brothers were shot in the head in nairobi five years ago outside their house. ruthlessly. the people behind it were never traced, nor was any motive found, as the murderers didn't steal anything. they raped the housegirl and went on their way past the pools of blood. imagine shooting 2 men dead then having the sadistic presence of mind to tag-team [CodeWord123] the housegirl inside. sick! i was at the funerals and the girl was there too, still in pain. so don't f with f'ers. its not worth the risk.
thirdly, you say they spike your drinks, but how? you need to be careful. once your bottle has been opened by the waiter, don't let it out of your sight. don't go for a [CodeWord134] until you have completely finished one bottle and before ordering the next. once i did so, came back to my place and found that a drunk mzungu had started drinking my beer, not from the bottle, but from the glass i had been using! i sidled up to him and informed him that i had spat in that glass! hahaha. so he offered it back to me, the fool! if you are alone in a crowded bar, and fear beer theft, find a table where there are some decent looking people and request that you plant you bottle in between their own. no thief would attempt to steal a bottle from a table where the beers are all close together. unless he wants a punch on the nose!
and finally, it would be very unlikely that a crime like this is done by two girls of their own accord. there would be a 90% chance that they have male accomplices, and that its the males who are paying the girls to be a part of this. maybe the one who took you to this unknown guest house and carried you into the room, is the one who emptied your pockets, not those girls. in fact i don't know them but in a way i feel sad for them that their photos are now on the internet and they are labelled thieves. it could be that the man with the car, told the girls that he knows you and will take you home safely, and then he took you somewhere and emptied your pockets. did you ask at the hotel reception who had paid for that guest room? not likely to be those girls, is it?
i was once relieved of a mobile phone from my car in dar es salaam, by a "newby" girl who i was dropping off home after sampling her at my place. when i called her flatmates they were incensed with this newby, that she could dare to steal a phone from me, who am always friendly to girls and give them lifts home to make sure they are safe. she first apologised to me and said i should come back and she will give me my phone, but when i went, she didn't appear and then she told me that (predictably) the man behind all this, to whom she was indebted, had said no way can he give back a phone. all i got was my sim card from an unknown male character and to be honest i grabbed that and scarpered for fear of further robbery.
so the girl had only stolen when ordered to do so by a male creditor. however i know that many girls steal phones from other girls handbags. in a more bizarre incident, a girl had asked me for a vibrator i had used with her, so i let her take it, but the same day the thing was stolen from her handbag at work (at a hotel where she works on reception). frigging thieves! (literally! ) apologies for the length of this piece. as always, glean from it what you will and scan-read the boring bits.

Sometime last July, I had the misfortune of being drugged and robbed by some girl I had met in a Bamburi bar. It was a very unpleasant experience, waking up in a strange room in some dingy guest house, minus your wallet and phone. It really took the mongering spirit out of me.
A few days ago, my underground contacts gave me pictures of the culprits, which I want to share here so that all you mongerers out there dont fall in the same trap. These two are always together. From what I have gathered, they operate around bamburi, Bombolulu, Kongowea areas. They specialise in spiking drinks and robbing you when you are out cold. Keep an eye out for them.

Do we HAVE to have the American version of the date all over this site? Its really confusing when trying to view reports in chronological order. Like today when I logged in, it told me, "You last visited: 11-08-08" now that is unreal. I was last in the site on Eighth November 2008 (logically written as 08-11-08).
Then there was recently 11-10-08 and 10-11-08... its so confusing.
Just a thought to make the site more user-friendly.

Posts: 364mmm...this forum IS suppossed to be about mongering internationally. I think keeping it to that area as well as travelling sites (diversions are needed once in while, cannot bone 24/7) is appropiate.
Well, too bad Musomba chose to retire. Maybe we can consolidate and move back to the other forums and retire this one.
I like it when people keep the pics in pics and is also nice to have specific info about specific cities when possible.
Thanks for the advice given before Musomba. I hope you reconsider!

No more petty squabbling with jackson. Oh. Oh dear. We are left without a father now. Orphaned. Well. Hhhmmm. Who among us would like to volunteer to take on the mantle of Musomba? Hey this was the most active and interesting thread in the forum. Lets not let it fade into mediocrity.
Ok here are two photos for you, to set the ball rolling. What dyu think?
She is a hot model-type here in Kenya. Face cropped out for her own anonymity. Many such young ladies are looking for boyfriends from overseas.
This is the kind of talent one can find in Kenya. So. All potential monger-tourists. COME!
