I live in Taoyuan and I'm quite familiar with the scene here. No problems in Taoyuan (however a few times girls said no, because waiguoren are too big) ; however, I had bad luck in Chungli. I tried 3 times and all the times there was no way to go inide, even I used my very simple mandarin.

BTW, in Taoyuan you can also check a small alley on HePing Road.

This is the spot across from the old sogo. It's actually easy to find, the area is off btwn two main roads with the brick type pavement and clothing shops. So off this area is an alley and in through the alley there are maybe twelve shops open. I walked by the first time and saw two amazing sexy women, maybe late twenties with amazing bodies, best I have seen in Taiwan, really top quality. First time in my life I almost had the action in Chungli, next to the old Sogo. As you can read in my old reports, I've tried there many times but always I've been refused as westerner. Yesterday, however, first time I was invited inside and had a talk with nice mamasan. Girl costs 1200 or 2000 NT, depends on quality. My fault. I was there around 3 pm so not many girls were available. At the time when I was there only one, rather older than younger, was available for westerner. Still, maybe once a month, I do find myself wondering into one of above establishments, more as a habit rather than a burning desire to score. If I do see that rare 9, I'd partake, otherwise, I'm just laying low and preserving my resources and energy my upcoming trip to PI.

BTW, is anyone going to PI in late Jan / early Feb?

So I've been in Taiwan for 4 years, living mostly in southern part so I can share a bit of my experience. As for P4P, the best bang for your $, I think, is Kaohsiung. Many have mentioned Romantic City at Jiu Riu Road. Most of these girls are Taiwanese. It still costs NT$1600 last time I was there in December. 2011. Unless you are a regular, you are pressured to pick within 3 free looks. One way I've found to know who are the 'red cards' or hot ones, is to wait in the waiting room and see who the guys are waiting for. They will call the girl # for the ones that are waiting. It's 50/50, that you'll find the better one this way. Still better than random pick. I think #168 always have 2-3 guys waiting for her during the day. I've never done her but sounds like she's been here for awhile. After they know you, you can sit by the water-fall pond and look until you find one you like. Since the turnover rate is high there, the latest ones I like was #77, #99. I thought they were the prettier ones with slim body. Still the hottest girls here are 7. 0.8. 0 on scale of 10, and most tend to be a little older (25. 37 yo). You get the body-body rub, some will do BBBJ, all deeds must be done within 50 minutes. There are a few of these in Kaohsiung & Tainan. I know in KS there is another one called 'Alice' it is also on Jiu Riu Road (Sec 1 I think) but it is way on the other side of the freeway. Along that same Road, you will find many many NT$1600 FS shops. You will spot the occasional 8's but most are 6's& 7's. Also, the rooms are very shabby and you don't get the soapie action.

Along Liu-her Road (Six-River) , there is a place called Apple massage, it is new (or reopened). While not a soapie place, the rooms are modern with a shower. These type of places are usually $1600 NT HJ only 90 minutes but some are FS for additonional 1K. Happens that Apple massage is a FS place, two prices: 2600 & 3000 NT. I went there last Nov and the guy was very helpful. Asked what I preferred, I said tall, young, pretty & slender. He said she's busy now, come back in 2 hours. So I did, it was like 2 am I think, about time they get off work. He said she is a college student and does FS for $3K. I'd give her a 7. 5 on her looks but she is very well endowed with a almost perfect slim body, very rare indeed. She works at night also attends college during the day, said she was an English major, so I threw some English questions at her, she answered in perfect English, so guess maybe she wasn't lying to me. I forgot her number, but I think there is only one really young, tall, slender girl there, maybe #99. Most of girls here are Taiwanese with some Mainland Chinese.

In frontside of KS Railroad station, JianGuo Road, if you go over the bridge, the 1st St you encounter is (Ba-der Road.) , there is not much left / right side of this street. BUT if you go to the next cross street, (Chi-Jian Road, or Seven Road) , you make a LEFT, and within 2-3 blocks on left side of this street, there are many high-rise buildings with 3F. 5F. 7F. 9F bright-colored large rectangular signs. If you went Rt on Chi-Jian Road, you will encounter many Vietnam massage places (90 minutes for $600 NT, thai style) , so if you see these, you went the wrong way. These high-rise buildings with 2F. 3F. 4F, etc written on them are really working girl-houses masquerading as one of the many of apartments / condo. I say there is about 10-15 of them in a two block area that has these bright signs. Almost all are FS without exception. You go inside one of these buildings, there will always be a guard by the elevator. Ignore them, they have never asked me any question of the 20 times I've been there. They are there to give a sense of security for the residents that live there. Usually, the odd number floors are the left elevator and even number floors are right elevator. Just pick ANY floor with the sign, when you get there, a pimp will come out to greet you. Ask you if you know anyone, etc. The 1st time I went, they were a bit cautious, they wanted to see my I'd and asked a few questions. Unless you are a regular, they will usually become impatient after U-turned down the 3rd girl. Sometimes they will show you 1 by 1, other times 3 at a time. The best time is after 6. 8 pm as they don't even start until 2 pm. They usually have two rates: $2500 NT ($2300 NT if you bargain really hard) and $2700. $3000 NT. From my experience, $3, 000 NT girls are a bit prettier and taller but not always the case. There are working girl-houses with only $2500 rates and I've found sometimes $3000 girls from other places works there also. 90% of these girls are from China and maybe some from Malaysia / Cambodia / Vietnam with few Taiwanese thrown in between. But Taiwanese girls always want at least $3000 NT to $3600 NT. Most of the Chinese girls are quite tall / pretty, I rate them 7. 5 to 8. 5 with half of them being tall, fair skin, and half darker sin. The Taiwanese girls are cute also but sometimes I don't think they are worth the extra NTs as many do not do BBBJ vs non-Taiwanese that does BBBJ (95% of the time). I've seen some 10's but almost all of them work in KTV where I've heard it can cost $10, 000 NTD for a night with them (not including KTV fees). If you are non-Chinese, I think you will be paying at least $500 NT extra because when I brought my American friend, they said 3000 NTD (2500 girl) AND he has to ask if the girl want the foreigner because they are known to be bigger-sized. But he had no issue as the girl he picked agreed right away. Again. 50 minutes, one-shot with a shower before and after.

Also near the KS Railroad, if you stand in front, facing Jian-Guo Road, to your right side, you'd see Big-Ten, McDonalds, KFC. Walk along this side of the street. When you get to a parking lot. 2-3 blocks, right before this parking lot, there is a narrow alley that turns left. Follow that narrow alley. You will pass a Grammar school and music school on your left side (very small building). This alley is known for streewalkers. Usually they are 5's and 6's old women. There are occasional 6's and 7's. Maybe 1 out of 50 is a 8. Though I've never asked, they must be less than 1000-800 NTD for short-time (15 min). The later it gets, the more girls shows up. Anyways, walk further and you will hit a river. This use to be a stinky river but now they've renovated it, it looks more modern and there are more lights. To your right side, you will see a Christian church. If you keep walking right, almost next to the Church, you will see a mama-san sitting on a plastic chair in a dumpy building. Usually, there are 2-3 girls sitting out front. These are p4p girls also, they are ST (15 min) for $1000 NTD I think, I'm not sure as when I found this place, I was brought there by one of the motorcycle pimps that wanted to charge me between $2200. $2500 I think for 50 minutes. As I've become more experienced, I think you can do ST here as most brothels here are ST (15 minutes). Further along this road, there is another brothel on the corner (about a min walk from Church). Here you can look right inside and see who is available. It is 24 hour place and I have seen 9's here (VERY RARE) with occasional 8's. Its 1, 000 NTD for 15 minutes, maybe 20 minutes if you plead and it is slow. It is a total dump so don't expect anything, it maybe so dumpy you wouldn't want to do it. Most of the time, the girls here are 5's 6's 7's. Maybe once a month a 9 or an 8 will drop by for few weeks and never to be seen again. If you keep walking, for about 2-3 city blocks, you will hit a hotel. It will be in the biggest complex on this side of river. There are two hotels here, on 4th and 6th floor. But they are really run by the same pimp I think. These are really brothels disguised as hotel but they actually do rent out rooms if you want. These rooms are not bad for 600-800 NTD a night. Anyways, almost 100% of the time, during the night especially, a scooter pimp will stop you before you even reach this hotel. They are dozens of these scooter pimps roaming around this river, including nearby streets. Their goal is to take you to one of these hotels as they get a commission. In any case, my experience is, the cost is similar whether you go along or a scooter pimp takes you. Maybe you say 100 NT. 200 NT but not really from my experience, only if you are repeat customer they may reduce to $2300 NTD. Here, the going rate is $2500 NTD. Don't pay more. THey will usually quote $2500 NTD and then say $300 NTD extra for the room. Don't pay, just walk out and it will be $2500 NTD before you take 2nd step. The girls here are mostly Cambodian, Malaysian, Indonesian, Vietnamese and sometimes a South Korean (kid you not). If you want more exotic girls than the typical mainland Chinese or Taiwanese, this is a good place to find them. Same drill here. 50 minutes, one shot, BBBJ standard and shower before / after. Most of them will shower with you. Although there is a tub, you wouldn't want to get in them, it can be that nasty, I don't even think any girls will do a bath-tub in any of these places. Although the rooms are adequate. There are some newer rooms, you may have to request for them. Average girl here is 7-8 in looks, most of them are 20-25 yo. Occasional 18 year olds. They are a bit shorter and darker skin but there are some I can't tell where they are from as they are indistinguishable from the ones at Chi-Sian Road (where all the bright rectangular signs are). Overall I like this place as I do find the occasional 9's here.

There are many red-light district shacks between Taichung and Kaohsiung. These are run-down hole in the wall building that line up a secluded street (in some cases in a Main Street masquering as hole-wall hotels). There are two of these places in Yunlin county (Huwei and Mailiao) , also few in Jiayi, Tainan. Kaohsiung usually aren't known for these type of shacks, maybe except for the ones I've mentioned above ST (15 minutes). These places are similar to ones in Keelung and Miaoli senior vocational schools, Hualin etc. Ou pay about 1000 NTD for 15-20 minutes or 1200 NTD-1500NTD for the super young & hot ones. From my experience, it is a hit or miss. The best times are weekends and holidays where some of them take a break from work to make few extra dollars for Chinese New Years or X'mas. I've seen some stunners here but again, far and few between. Most of the time they are 6's. 7's occasional 8's. Most are 25. 35 whyear old

Also not to be missed, there are alot of HJ massage places in Taiwan. They usually charge $1000 NTD (+tip) for 90 min of oil massage and 40-50% of them will offer FS. Most of time, these places will offer massage, they are different from legit massage places in that they either are: Darker inside, have nobody in the reception area or just 1 girl sitting in a small lobby area. Or something just doesn't look right about it. Some have colorful signs, etc. With a hint of sexual overtone (sexy lady sign or sexy words like Dream massage). Some have a small worshipping platform in middle with a red candle and is quite dark. But if you see lots of girls dressed in standard uniform sitting in a bright lobby or gather in front of reception area, places with people getting foot massages, THEY ARE ALMOST ALWAYS LEGIT so don't even try to ask for any special here. There are few exceptions as some of these legit places the girls will do HJ but only after she knows you and it is very hush-hush thing. One way to know is that legit oil massages usually cost $600NT to $800 NT per hour in Taiwan. So if they are quoting $1000 NT for 90 minutes, (nobody quotes 90 minutes except for the Vietnam massage parlors (90% legit-although some HJ / FS (take-out) if you look hard) in Kaohsiung, but they are $600 NT for 90 minutes) , so if they are quoting 1000 NT for 90 minutes, it is probably a good sign they are happy ending or FS. HJ. Usually tip between $400 to $600 NT with majority wanting $600 NT. FS is usually 1K on top of 1600 NTD. So you may actually get 90 minutes for massage, FS if you play your cards right (ask the girls to do real massage 1st for 45 minutes). Although some may prefer to jump right o main course and massage later. Usually these girls don't do BBBJ although there are some Mainland girls that works there that will do it.

As for freebies, in the beginning, I have some success on Tagged. Com and tealit. Com few years ago. I think I met about 10 girls from it and scored with 3 of them after investing some time. But most of them are in Taipei or out of the way cities and I don't really want to travel that far as it takes 6-8 hours round trip. And I've found, it really isn't free as I have to spend at least 2-3 dates to get anywhere with them. If you add up the travel costs, dinner and lodging, it cost more than P4P and they are not as pretty. Even then, it is not guaranteed as a lot of Taiwanese girls are quite conservative. Though I've had one-night stands before, they are rare for me.

Further, I found myself wanting to travel to Thailand, China more often because I'm starting to lose interest in the P4P scene in Taiwan. I don't know, maybe because I've been spoiled by better values / better venues. While Taiwan do have many cute girls, but the very hot ones are not very accessible, the selection is low and can be very pricey. If you have the money, the best can be had but you will be spending 10, 000 NT. 20, 000 NT a night here. This is hardly a bargain as you can get similar caliber of girls for fraction of cost in China and you will be living like a king. The best looking mainland girls here are probably just above average looking in China and costs 2-3 times as much. Also, I found that scoring freebies is easier with Vietnamese and Thailand girls (from my experience). So nowadays, I find myself cutting way back on my monthly whoring expense and save them to take extended vacation to nearby Thailand, China or Philippines. So far, I think it is a much better value, maybe I'm just getting burned out in with Taiwan. Still, maybe once a month, I do find myself wondering into one of above establishments, more as a habit rather than a burning desire to score. If I do see that rare 9, I'd partake, otherwise, I'm just laying low and preserving my resources and energy my upcoming trip to PI.

You might consider taking a train to a larger city, as Miaoli is considered "countryside." It's really not that far and you can have a pretty decent or better experience in a city like Taipei for not so much cost.
