Big Top is correct. Was in CP last week. The mamasans are hesitant to come out on the main streets but the action is still there. The restaurant across the street from Yalan Hotel had some real hotties.

Its a hard choice between the two and personally, I find that communication is the key.

Provided you can overcome the communication problem (and it can be a problem even for my better than bad Mandarin plus Cantonese),
overall, I would say that Chang Ping (in Dougguan) is better than Bangkok if you like the fair skinned variety of girls. I get more and better GFE here than in Bangkok and I live in Bangkok too so am no newbie there!

If you like beer bars & ago-gos then Bangkok is the place to be. I DISLIKE Karaokes and yet, in the relatively inexpensive best Karaokes of Chang Ping, I thrive and when I add in the absolutely wonderful gems I get to pick out of the BBS here without worries of "bar-fines" and terrible idea of "lady drinks" I gotta love Chang Ping.

For the day, the high quality foot and regular massage (non sex) type places here just blow Bangkok under the table! When you bring your bottle of Scotch there during the day and start a party, nothing in Bangkok compares of day time fun and recovery and the masseuse are generally younger and prettier and definitely open to propositions!

Again, when in China, you look for what they are good at here so forget about the mind-set of beer bars and ago gos and you will LOVE Chang Ping.

Thinking of paying a visit to Bangkok or China in March. If any of you have spent time in Bangkok I'd be interested in how you'd compare Bangkok to Donguan in terms of the quality, service, and price of the women.

I think the consensus is for a non mandarin speaker Bangkok is easier than DongGuan – however a lot depends on the price point you are after. If you a prepared to hang around large hotels with KTV's and nighclubs you can get as many women as you like with minimal effort, but the cost is high – typically RM800-1000 for LT. If you go down this route, try and keep your activities to the week-nights – the weekends are typically rather busy due to the hordes of HK guys. Also be very choosy. If you are going to spend that kind of money, make sure you get a very good looking bird. The guys i always go with always rejects the first line up, or selection of girls – on principal.

But i have to agree with the other guys - If you want a cheap experience and you do not speak mandarin – then BKK is the best option. If you want a challenge, then go to DongGuan – i find it just too easy in Thailand.

But for quality – you generally get what you pay for. Both in DongGuan and Thailand the low cost girls – about the RM200-400 or Baht1250-2500 mark – are not exactly model material. I generally find the experience level of the low cost Thai girls is generally better, they are also more likely to provide CIM, anal and girl-on-girl activity. The low cost Chinese girls are normally less experienced and tend to have some unfortunate personal hygiene habits – they always seem to trash my bathroom for some strange reason - can be more smelly and dirty (but a quick bath will resolve that), but once cleaned up are generally nicer. I would rate them equal.

Each locations offers different special services, Bangkok has Japanese style soapy's, DongGuan offers BBS and fire and ice, etc. So you may make a decision based on the type of service you are after. If you thing is to get a BBBJ in a bar while you watch football, then Bangkok is the place. If you want your girl strapped up in red ribbons while providing you with a BBBJ, while upside down – then DongGuan is where you want to go.

As for high class model types – both Bangkok and DongGuan seem to be priced the same, in the RM800 or Baht5000 mark. These type of girls will normally be found in KTV's or night-clubs – i find Bangkok more organised with 3 classes and 3 sub-categories for each class – each with a standard price range. In DongGuan is more hit and miss – its far easier to get a RM800 dud in DongGuan than Bangkok. I generally find Bangkok better – except for one thing. There is a wide range of different girl types in DongGuan (Or in my case Houjie) tall, short, fair skinned, etc. There is less choice of Thai girl type in Bangkok.

Finally - i have found its possible to get a model class girl for the Baht3000 mark, including bar fine. These are normally girls working in stores during the day who want to make a few extra bucks at night. Unless you speak cantonese or pudgonwa i would suspect it would be impossible to do this in DongGuan.

Finally – non-local girls. Bangkok has a supply of non-Thai girls – DongGuan does not really have any non-Chinese girls i could find. But why go to Bangkok to spend time with an average Uzbek girl???

Finally transport – DongGuan is huge – from CP, to DongGuan proper and way out east to Hioujie – its huge. I find it takes a lot of effort to travel between major towns and as a laowai i always have to fight the taxi driver over the fare, which annoys me. You get ripped off in Bangkok also, but its minimal in price – lets say baht100 for a baht50 fare. In DongGuan you can spend a lot of money in taxi's. I normally stay in the town i visit – in my case i have only been to Houjie and to a lesser extend ChingPing. I have gone to a bar in DoingGuan once, many years ago, but i was not mongering then.

Finally – pick pockets are rife in DongGuan – so watch out.

Report Caveat (This is only my opinion, other may disagree) - I don't go to sauna's - so i have not provided any info on them. I have only been to DongGuan a dozen times, so am not an expert, while i have been to bangkok about a 100 times so know it better. (But my true mongering location is beijing - so i know northern china very well.)

CP is much better for mandarin speakers who do not speak Thai. Unless you speak Thai, there is still the language barrier in BKK. Girls are younger in CP; Most are out of the business by 25. BKK has smattering of Russians etc which is rare in CP. Been mongering since early 1970's; started off in BKK in fact. Amazing changes since then.

Having lived and visited in both China and Thailand for extensive periods of time, I would agree with the consensus here. CP is not for tourists and non-Chinese speakers. IMHO, the GFE hit rate is much higher in Thailand. Prices are about the same, maybe a bit cheaper for better quality talent in Bangkok.

Dear Steve you asked about quality, service and prices re Bangkok v. Changping. There are many more ladies in Bangkok which services millions of foreign mongers per year. Changping may be cheaper because the barber shop girls are about 300 to 400 yuan($37-50) KTV is expensive at 800 yuan for overnight. Bangkok has bar fines in hostess bars and strip bars but it is hard to get below $50. In general, Bangkok girls are more aggressive. Many Changping girls are right off the farm but are fun to be with because they are not so jaded. In general Thai women have bigger chests than Chinese girls.

Dear Steve, I went to Bangkok numerous times. If you are going alone and/or do not speak Chinese, then go to Bangkok. It is made for the foreign tourist, with hostess bars(soi 33) strip bars(soi nana and soi cowboy), beer bars(soi 7) massage parlors and there will be many other tourists that you will meet. As fast eddie said many of thai girls speak some english. There are a lot of things to see in Bangkok.
Changping is different in that it is not set up for tourists or persons who do not speak Chinese. There are plenty of barber shops and take out girls and many KTVs but no hostess bars, beer bars or strip clubs. There are no real places where a tourist who does not speak Chinese can hang out. I am not putting Changping down because it is full of attractive Chinese ladies.

I like ZMT, because it a small city and the location fits for my biz. Disadvantage when you live here is: Everybody sees and knows what you do, but that's their problem when they start talking about me.

Concerning your host:

I know these kind of people (especially Chinese) and I really don't like such people. I avoid them and when I am in I take the first exit to leave them. Showing oneselfs "guanxi" (connections) is aweful for me, they should do better biz instead. "You want my money, I tell you what to do!".

Here in ZMT I never met such person...maybe the reason is, that I look for HK and TW people, as they are also foreigner here.

Solaris is a nice hotel but not ideal for foreign guests, it's still a national hotel. Metropolitan is settled and you will find anything what you need/demand there.

I don't know to which places the taxi driver you brought, I am sure there are still some unexplored places here in ZMT, but as I know...the BBS place I described is the main one.

The huge resort is Tangxia Goodview, a 5/6 star resort with adequate entertainment spots like Prince Crown in HuangJiang.

I highly recommend to take your time and demand it from your host. Tell him that you have another biz contacts you want to meet or whatever. ZMT is not like CP or HouJie, but you find and get what you need. It depends on your needs, demands and expectations. Depending on them I can give you some on-site information or not. As I am on the way to settle a long time relation, I am not the monger you maybe expect...just to let you know in advance.
