Hi AG, good to hear that you finally got there. I need to comment something on the fact that the taxi might get lost in Shenzhen. I was waiting for a friend in Wanchai for the Match Germany vs. Argentina. He was about to arrive around the time the match began. Then he called me around 10 and asked me how long Luo Hu was open. I asked what happened. he said He was on his way by bus from Huizhou to Shenzhen and the bus driver got lost and didn't find Shenzhen..... Never heard that one, but as having been in China long enough, no reason to doubt, lol...

How very interesting. Not very often you heard of bus driver getting lost but I had seen bus reversing on a highway because he was miss the turn off and trying to reverse back to the exit.

In additions to that, I had also heard from taxi drivers that in more developing cities the road changes without notice overnight, a road can turn into a one way street and you have to go around it in order to get to your designation, and whereby getting lost on the way. Hahaha! What's new in China?

Got into Shenzhen from the Lo Wu Border yesterday. Big mistake!

Yesterday was 1st July, 9 year ago; yesterday, Hong Kong was returned to China. So its a long weekend as Monday is a public holiday in Hong Kong. There were seas of people crossing the border. This kind of reminded me of the Historical Human Waves during the North / South Korean war. All I can see at the immigration was black heads moving forward...

Anyways, managed to cross the border after 2 hours of queue, pushing and figthing to keep my luggage with me.

Met up with Moody at the bus station and got onto a coach to go to Houjie. We were faced with another inefficiency system of China in which the bus conductor on the lower ground floor told us to buy our tickets on the second floor for Houjie and when we turn up on 2nd floor ticketing station, they told us that for Houjie we buy the ticket on boarding the bus! Struggling with my luggage, moody and I made our way to the bus queue. The Bus to Houjie is queue number 2 and marked with "Hou Jie" in English and can be found on the right side of the escalator if you are coming from the 2nd floor ticketing station, you get into the queue, a conductor will come to you for you to purchase tickets @ 30RMB 10 mins before the Bus departs You get on the bus and it is an hour ride.

Our ride was pretty smooth even with a little traffic along the way as it was evening rush hour (Not public holidays in SZ) but just another Sat evening.

Got into HJie at around 7:30 and Thanks Moddy for the education along the way on Houjie mongering scene. Guys, be careful about the Taxi at Houjie; upon arriving at the Bus terminal we jumped on to a taxi to take us to Sheraton. Moody spoke with foreigner's Mandarin and I kept speaking to him in English, plus I was carrying a luggage which gave the driver an impression that we are foreigner. He did not flip the meter and when we arrived at Sheraton (4 mins later) Moody gave him a 10 and he insisted on 20. At that point moody and I were pissed. Moody rejected and said only 7 as it was the starting price besides the journey was only like 5 mins. Driver start making noise and I guess I stepped in that surprised him by scolding him in mandarin and cantonese that he is trying to cheat us as non locals, we are not the first time in China. At that point we basically saw his jaw dropped. We just leave the taxi So take note do not fall for this one, insist on meter or agree on the price before he leave for the designation

Houjie, unlike CP tends to start later at the KTVs, Saunas etc. CP starts around as early as 5pm and if you are there around 7pm...oAll the good and pretty girls are gone! At Hjie, we can still grab our dinner at the Sheraton hotel’s Italian restaurant and arrived at the KTV at 9pm as the first customers!

KTV is at 5 floor, and was greeted by mama. Again I played the act that I am foreigner than does not understands any Chinese at all (I love that; so that I can get a little inside information when they start speaking to each other in their language). The line ups mama bought is was ok; I would say it is fantastic. As it was “early” we have the best of all the choices and finally settled into one girl each after 3 line ups batches. Not going into lots of details; we spent about 3 hours in the KTV, with 4 bottles of Red wine @ 280/bottle… (god! I can’t stand the tastle of Red Wine with 7-Up!) …mama had it setup as buy 2 get one free but we managed to order one last bottle because we downed all the wines with mama while playing dice at the last 30 mins of our stay there. Tips for girls are @ 300 and we were making the Mama, girls happy by “throwing” RMB around on tips for waitress. I only do that for KTVs that I am there for the first time and think that it is a good place that we will return. Normally mama will remember you and you will get good services or girls the next time you call that you are coming. Besides, even if you are not there, you can always refer mama to your friends to get the same good services.

After our KTV, we headed down to basement floor for the Sauna. I was told by Moody that the Sauna has two sections. Upon entering from the Elevator if you go right, those are SPA and legit stuff, Turn left for FUN stuff….

We were bought to a waiting room where we are shown line ups of girls. Basically 2 types: Models and Regular girls. Regulars girls are going price of 400 and models are 600, both 90 mins service. The so called models are not really models… they are just taller girls. In the room, you get a standard wash down by your girl, a light massage if you need one, HJ, CBJ and FS. You pay a room usage fee @ 250 per room. Both Moody and I finished off happy at around 2am. Girls are reasonable and service although not comparable to Saunas in Shanghai; are standards and OK (no red ropes, no fire and ice…etc).

We head for a taxi to bring us to a location in Hu Man where Shenzhen taxis are hanging around to get back to Shenzhen picking up a passenger to cover their toll fees. Like in Guangzhou, if you want to go to Dongguan, you will not take the local taxi to Dongguan because they will charge you more than double the price. You will ask the local taxi to take you to a place where you can catch a Local taxi from the city you are heading. Also DO NOT let your local taxi negotiate the price for your designation city taxi because they will try to get a cut from the amount you will be paying to your final taxi. Even while on the taxi getting from Sheraton to Hu Man, he tried to made us paid extra by asking for 50 but in the end we go by the meter which came up to be only 42. (Although 8 rmb is just US$1 difference…we all do not like the feeling of been a sucker!). We settled into a Shenzhen taxi to take us from Hu Man to Shenzhen town @ 100 in total for two of us. (NOT EACH remember) Some other taxi wanted 150 but we push them aside. If you had got the local Houjie taxi to bring you to Shenzhen the main problem is: they will charge you around 300 and they likely to get lost in Shenzhen city in which they got no local knowledge of the roads in SZ.

Overall we enjoyed our night especially mongering out together with fellow members of ISG. More mongering in SZ or ???? city tonight!

You might like the story about why Chinese doctors are so good. An Amercian went to China/Thailand/whereever and had sex BB. About two weeks after he returned home, his johnson was green and purple so he went to his urologist. The urologist said he had to do some tests and told him the next day that he had the worst VD possible called Mongolian VD. The doctor said that he would have to amputate the johnson. The American was shocked and went to see a Chinese Doctor. The old doctor said upon examination "Oh that is Mongolian VD. " The American said that his doctor wanted to operate and amputate the johnson. The Chinese doctor said "Those Americans doctors always want to operate and run up huge medical bills. Do not worry. Just wait two weeks and it will fall off and you will save lots of money."

As usual the king (OAH) is correct. The reason why you can get delivery for 150rmb to your room by calling the mamason is that she would not have to split her fee with the ladies that bring you to their house. The 200rmb fee are split with the house mamason getting 50rmb, the lady that is out in front of Ya Lan and bring the customers to the house receive 50rmb, the girl gets the remaining 100rmb.

If you really like the girl then get her cellphone number so you can get her to come to your hotel room. I usually setup a morning appointment with the girl that I like, this way I pay her 150rmb and she gets to keep all that money.

If you know the girl like OAH's 42D and call her directly, she does not even have to pay the mama, that is correct. But if you call her directly and keep her overnight; she keeps the full 500 (Market price) and she is even happier!! Actually that is not true, I asked the girls and they did say that it will depend s on where are they at the time when we call them. If she leaves from the shop, the rule is that she will have to tell mama where she is going. The house rules is they will have to pay mama 50 even the customer call her directly. BUT: If the girl is outside like at home or eating somewhere, they do not have to pay anything to mama.

OK... I have than another story to tell:
This one I had shared with OAH and Mr. B in OAH car going back to SZ this morning.

After the KTV with OAH, Mr. B and Moody we headed back to our room. The girl I had from my previous was calling me for the whole evening. She must have had a bug on me which detected I was in town! After the KTV, I finally decided to give her a call and she came over ina flash! That's the "freebie" which I mentioned in my previous report. She turn out to be a real freebie for last night!

She stay over for the whole night and in the morning when we were going for breakfast I tried to pay her 500 but she refused payment! She just said: "I dont want your money!" I was a little surprise (actuallly very surprise!) I did asked her why she refused my money in Which she did not answered. While she was in the showers I put the money into her bag but she quickly found out and returned the money back to the table while it was my turn in the Showers. Without further delaying going for breakfast I just kept the money since she refuse it.

Over breakfast, I cannot help but thinking of what is the reason for her to refuse my money. I had thoughts that she wanted me to bring her back to Shanghai with me or even things like she wanted stay at my place in Shanghai as she did mentioned that she wants to move to Shanghai. Thoughtout the night while resting in between rounds, she was asking me about life in Shanghai, where I live, what she expect of Shanghai etc....

While on the way to SZ, I can't hold it back anymore but have to burst out asking OAH and Mr.B what the hell is that all about refusing my money.

OAH and Mr. B offered two very vaild reasons:

1) The money is not enough for her expectation
2) She is ploting something up on me!

I would go for No. 2 as I have reasons to believe that 500 is the standard for LT and that is the price I paid her the last time.

So the left me wondering... What the hell is she working on me?

Whatever it is... I aren't going to see her the next time in CP and I had blocked off her number on my cell.

The mummy whom i called works along the road in front of Hui Mei, i called her at appx 9 pm and i spoke in Pu Tong Hua. Transaction was done through tele-conversation. The first offer was actually 250 but since i saw from the threads that some guys were paying 100-130, i replied in a shocked manner and said that she could forget it for over quoting me. She must have assumed that i was a regular ( First time actually but i do a lot of RTFF ) and asked me my price. I told her that i will give her a good price of 150 and chided her to be more sincere in the future. Within 5 minutes 2 girls came and i picked one cute girl. Gave the girl 50 tip after the deed. Didn't ask about overnight price though.

Maybe the price of 200 is standard if you go hunt and check out the stock yourself because all the mummy's along the area could gang up and quote the same price. And if you are a repeat customer, the mummy will quote you the same price as before.

Anyway, 200 ST is still a fair price...sigh, can't wait for my next trip next month.

I see.... understand why you got lucky now... But overall in most cities in China prices get lower as the time passed deeper into the night.

Andy; you are right also; there are so many time that I walked into a BBS or places like these, they will offer me the standard price and turn around to offer my white friend higher price! If they knew that we are together in a group, than may be there are better chances that mama stays at standard price for all. But for old timer like OAH, I think there are no mama in Yalan area who does not know him, I would say none of the mamas there even dare to offer him a price that is higher than the Standard!

And come on guys.... 50RMB? That's US$9! What are we talking about here? For an extra of US$9 if I can make a mama happy so that she can provide me better girls the next time she see me? Why not? After all I am not paying more than the market price...and spoilt the market. Besides, I do not want to be called a Cheap Charlie the next time that mama see me.

Most delivery service you can call for is 150 RMB, but they only send 2-3 girls at a time to select from. Having said that, I just saw a whole taxi full of girls coming back from a delivered line-up. Must have been 10-12 girls.

For those on a limited budget, try the catacombs. 30 RMB for 15 minutes ST. I reckon that is as cheap as it gets.
