Made a eturn visit to DV8, street 148 down near the river front. Never gets too busy here in my experience, and the girls seem just a bit more naughty than a lot of the other similar bars, apart from places like Sophie etc.

I wanted wi-fi as I was hoping to send photos home and I have a PDA, not a laptop.

Visited the Golden Vine, in 108 street, near corner of 51 street. This place is the same set up as so many other similar places in PP, bar and seating with pool table and probably around a dozen gals. Check out http://www.online.com.kh/cp/hs/ for the hotspots provided by this company in PP and SR. There ae one or two other providers, but have not used their services. The rate is around $3/hr via a pre-paid card available in many hotels, however the number of hotel hotspots is limited. Am not aware of any hotels with who provide this service free.

Now that is what I call a hell of a bargain. Now the question is, do I get a seat or get strapped to the wing at that price :-)

You got overcharged by Air Asia - I'm doing the same flight in a couple weeks for $29.50 - same $10 flight! As to the wing seating, I'll let you know...

I was planning to do a repeat of my last trip, overland from Bangkok, down to Trat by bus, then over to Koh Kong by the border van and moto. From there I was planning on going to Sianookville, but was wondering if the boat or highway was the better route these days.

I plan to use Hotel California again, as it was great on my last visit and seems to be keeping a good rep with the new owners, but any suggestions for decent hotel of about the same quality in Snookey and SR?

My last trip to Sihanoukville was in March 06 & went by the ferry, price is now $20 USD, up $5. Was talking with Bob from KKK & he told me he drove from Koh Kong to Sihanoukville a couple of weeks before & the road was very good. (may be different squeezed up in a minibus though).

i will be making my second trip to cambodia this august, and was wondering just how much easier it was to get around. my last trip was in june of 2001, before the bridge at koh kong and when the highway from there inland was still closed.
