I remembered across the road from ZY is or was? a Singaporean Restaurant (was it called Orchard pub?) can't remember the name, but if it is, than it is a legit restaurant, I don't think there are any actions in there ,,, I might be wrong, had not been back there for a long time.....perhaps you might want to post something on your findings there?

My guess (and it is a guess) is that it used to be the ZY - became the Orchard which is when they photographed it for the Map8 system, but in one of the many refurbs I read the place has undergone the name has changed back to ZY

Now if only I spoke a single word or the language this would make a super subject for a conversation with the manager and staff during a visit.

The reason I could not "see" ZY using the Map8 system indicated in my previous post is simply that there is a tree / washing obscuring the view of the front of the ZY building.

Having found ZY I have to say I was not over impressed. It was a very quick service. Can't remember the name of the girl. But then you get what you pay for. At home and in most countries I have ever been there is no activity before noon. The walk about has to be day time because I will guess that business associates will want to meet me during the evening. By the time that is over it will no doubt be late and although viewing the nightlife would be an education I will have to be up early for the following day for something called WORK. If there is no evening meet-up I am sure I can find amusement. Zapatas seems to be relatively close to my hotel - and a load of other places along Hengshan Road.

Using the City8 map/ viewing system (which is absolutely brilliant) I have "found" an Orchard CRC Pub at 1788 Xin Zha Lu and that cannot be far from the YZ. Then from the Web and SmartNameCard I have printed the card and taxi instruction for the Orchard pub. So I will get to the general area. Anyway. If it is not pouring with rain it looks like an interesting walk along TRL and up to Xin Zha Lu. But will I ever get there or will there be too many distractions along the way. At my age I can live in hope. That stroll is intended to be my entertainment for next Monday afternoon and onward

Thanks good to hear. I think you misunderstood my report. I've only been in shanghai 5 months, my friend was here 3 years. In my opinion the village has a better selection, and I live in western Jing'an, which is quite close by. There are a few pink light places near me. They're either more expensive or lacking in quality. At least at the village I can choose from about 20 girls.

Anyways. Figured I'd give that Jing'an sauna a shot tonight. Being payday and all. The one on wulumuqi lu. Forget the name. It's near the intersection of jiaozhou lu and xinzha lu. Just go there and then go east in xinzha a little. It'll be on your right and should be obvious. 350 for full service, and it's somewhere inbetween BBS and Sauna. I really liked that 209 Wulumuqi place for sauna, it was 720 I believe. I feel a right plonker. I have been reading ISG on & off for a few years (under another name. Had to change because the old email address died) but I have only just found your section.

I suppose partly that was because I did not expect to get to Shanghai again so concentrated on the Latin sites, those being the parts of the world I know best.

However, Shanghai. Here I come. Bags being nearly packed, other ISG sections read/ memorised/ copied to files etc. I will be there Sunday.

Unfortunately I will be smothered by well meaning attention from friends and work people there, and I also have a heavy work schedule, but I am determined to escape at times. NO experience of mongering in Shanghai, so this is a first.

Sunday afternoon I guess it will be bags down as I arrive, shower, grab a taxi and go for relaxation at Shanghai Hotel before I get the friends calling for the evening.
