    Club Isla Bonita?

I'll be staying in Sosua from September 6th through the 12th and wanted to stay in a place that hasn't been mentioned here to my knowledge. The name of the place is Club Isla Bonita and their website seems great except for the fact that they don't seem to answer the phone. I first sent an e-mail and got no reply. Then I realized there is a reservation form on their website, so I used it and got an automated response that the reservation was submitted, but still no word from them. Their location seems to be down by the casino and the address given is Calle Argentina #4.

Is this place closed/nonexistant? I booked into Casa Valeria for a few days, but then wanted to try a few others. I stayed in Hotel Chessa back in March and had a nice apartment with air and terrace, chica friendly for $50.

Anyway, here's the link to Club Isla Bonita if anyone can provide some info.

It's about $45 a night with a kitchenette, safe, free wireless internet and A/C. It seems like a decent place to go. Relatively close to the action. Other than a few posts from last year about the food and the fact that it is very chica friendly, there is't much more about the place.

Has anyone stayed there recently? Is it a good place for a first time monger?
Hotel Don Andres is under dutch management and very monger friendly; close to the action ( it will take you round about 5 minutes to get to the main discos in Sosua, restaurants...)
In case you want to have a room right next to the newgarden hotel you should try a small hotel called casa valeria.

If you are a gym goer, the new gym in Sosua is a block or so away from the Colibri. But it is a moto ride from the action. I just got back from a trip where I stayed at Casa Valeria. Quiet but a block and a half from the bars. GF, just have to walk the girl in and out again. Good food. Nice people. Put on insect repellant if you plan to sit outside in the garden to use the wi fi or get some sun near the pool. Reasonably priced. Good hot water in shower. Beds don´t squeak, (at least mine didn´t).

Hotel Colibri is situated at the very end of a street called Pedro Clisante. It is connected with a language school and is not girl friendly.
I would suggest you try to get a room at the newgarden hotel, hotel europa, casa valeria, casa cayenda...
Fellow boardmemeber EdHunter has provided a link with girl friendly hotel in Sosua in this thread.

Every hotel listed below is girl friendly. Many of the upscale places have limitations on this so they don't get placed on the list just posted. To get placed on the list more then one reference needs to be made from different people stating the girl friendliness.
