I have never been to China before so would like to know were is the cheapest or best citys to go for the action prices. Hotels etc. I have always headed To Thailand which is cheap and easy to get to but need a change so flying from the uk where is the best city In China to visit.

ALSO It Would be good Idea to have a list off the asian countrys from the cheap to the Exspensive for us less experienced travellers.

I went shopping over the weekend to look for some new shoes and browse to see what new junk, I mean high quality consumer goods, were for sale. The usual clothing, shoe and souvenir shops are finally trying to sell their goods for more realistic prices.

We FINALLY have the upper hand as buyers!

I was at the Nanjing Lu and Chengdu Lu (aka north south elevated highway) Shopping Plaza.

Fake Nike's or equivalent dropped pretty quickly (in less than ten seconds I might add!) from 300+rmb down to 80rmb as I ask and walked away from several shops.

The same goes with clothing and suitcases. I priced a fake Thomas Pink shirt down to 50rmb without any sweat - and I HATE bargaining. This was really easy over the weekend!

No customers on Saturday! It was easy to walk around and hardly anyone was buying! Not crowded at all!

If you bargain you will find that you can buy stuff for much better prices than when times were good.

The shop keepers are finding it really hard to sell anything these days.

Sorry for the late report. I am still in the process of catching up on all my work while I was vacationing in CP last week. Just as AG had described, the rooms at Clipper foot massage are pretty nice and most of the girls are decent looking. The foot massage itself is ok but not as good as Huimei.
