Actually I was there about a week ago on a Sat and it was a similar situation.
Viviana off,Camila occupado and only three new girls. I took one called Erica from Barranco. Great gfe, 69,cbj in jacuzzi, skipped the massage. Never talked about money, left 30 Soles on the dresser. Nancy had change but instead of the normal 2-2 1/2 hours the last two times have been 90 min.
The problem might be too many Gringo's are starting to come?

Do not know what you are into but maybe you might want to set up something before hand with this chica?

So slim pickings. We each did our sessions. He took Viviana, I took Camila as usual. Crazy enough, we both ended at about the same time, maybe 90 mins later.

We get downstairs, and as usual, Nancy doesn't have any change. Doesn't really matter to me, since I normally tip the girls the 30 soles change out of 100 soles bill. I've been doing this since I started going there in May 2005, as strongly recommended to tip 20-30 soles on Perutops. (Oops, I see that it's made it to 40 soles.) I have no problem tipping the same as locals.

Well, apparently somebody's been overtipping. The girls are "expecting" a minimum of 50 soles propinas now. After my experience with Karina in October, expecting 50-100 soles, I'm convinced something's up there.

So who's screwing up the program? Fess up. Please let's not fuck up a perfectly good quality-massage, cost-efficient place.
    Uhhh, Wasn't me!!!!!

At the risk of being redundant I echo Surfer's sentiments and reccomend you check into the Maria Luisa for $15. (No daytime action in San Isidro). Independent bar's generally do not open until 4pm, so this means drinking in a restaurant bar, I would start off at Larco Mar either "Hooter's","Tony Roma's" .

I would also try contacting a few independent girls from "Chicastops" or "Placeresdeperu" to see if they are working Christmas Day. Email the various Banos Turcos to inquire if they are open.

There will be alot less combi's and Taxi's will charge a premium, so I reccomend you plan on staying put in Miraflores, once you arrive and either taking a Javier Prado combi(1soles) or taxi (8-10 soles) to the bus terminal of Cruz del Sur.(about 10 min in taxi).

If "La Favorita" cafe is open (I will ask)and you like "Pisco Puro" you can drink very cheaply there and if anybody is working they will definetly pass by and let you know. After 4pm "The Flying Dog" is open(5 soles Chops) and if you still are not lucky "Tequilas" opens at 7pm. By the way "Pilsen" is the prefered beer in Lima.

    Dh:

IMHO it is worth 50 soles (or so) to rent a love motel for the 12 hours or so you will be in Lima even if just for showering/resting. Cucardas will watch your backpack at the front, but they will almost certainly NOT allow you to carry your belongings inside (VERY paranoid, unlike Trocadero) . I would NOT want to leave valuables there (though nothing got ripped from my bag).
They are not clockwatchers there in my experience, and like you I HATE anything les than a full hour, although during busy times or if they have others waiting who knows.

Hope you are ready for an experience that is MUCH less European (luxurious) than BA. But way more GFE and way cheaper. Plus less smokers!!!!!!!!!

Jetsetter: I did detect a tongue and cheek element to your post, but with narcissists like "Master Monger" running around here (well Colombia folder anyway) I learn not to presume anything.

You should go back to Indonesia, though other parts are better than Central Sulawesi (Palu area is somewhat dangerous nowadays as an epicenter of Muslim-Christian violence). Your point about feeling less secure wandering the countryside in Colombia (compared to Peru) is quite valid. MANY rural areas of Colombia ARE risky for gringos, whereas in Peru the risk of crime is much higher in the cities. Enjoy your trip. Either Peru OR Colombia will seem liker Chica heaven compared to Costa Rica or Curacao.

Thanks, David. I'll check it out. No FS does not work for me but Las Cucardas might. Jaimito, I already have the bus reserved and if I read Nibu's thread I might get severe drain bamage.

15-30 minutes is enough time for me to get my pants off and that is about it. I like to slam them for at least an hour.

Okay, that is enough info. I will crawl back in my hole now.

I don't know how the buses are in Lima, but I know that when I took a bus around the holidays from San Jose, CR to Managua that they were sold out days in advance.

I'm sure David is the expert in this area.

I know where the dangerous *****houses are, but didn't do any privados (I'm not counting Relax and Vida, since no FS). $4.75-$12 for *****house services (15-30 mins depending on location). David or Lima Busy should have some decent recommendations here. Lots of good food during the week at the small restaurants (many open just for lunch). It's hard to spend more than $3.

The normal buses are pretty inexpensive. Usually 1-2 soles (30-60 cents approx). You may want to scan Nibu's thread for more low end bus info.

  9. #691
Well, I donīt know if Relax and Vida is open, but it is near the bus terminal...remember, no FS there. On the way to the bus terminal area is Las Cucardas which will probably be open...check their web site. You can get a beer there an chicas. Mixed opinions on the place on the forum, but I think that for lack of hassle, it might be a good option.

Thanks, David. After ruminating on this over a number of beers and then fucking two sisters from Peru here in Buenos Aires, I determined that there was no reason to arrive in Trujillo on Christmas Day since my friend can't meet me until the 27th. So, I think the luxury of the San Isidro bus will be an okay use of my scarce funds. I'll just think of it as a $26 hotel room with a bus ride thrown in for free. Time, I have plenty of as I will be facing five months of total unemployment.

Therefore I now seek advice on how to slowly drink and monger the day away until the bus leaves at 10:30 PM. I do now see that San Isidro is close to Miraflores, with which I am familiar and which I recall is mostly for chetos. Cheto no soy but I could be one for half a day if necessary.

How about a mid- to up-scale privado in that area? Posible? Also, what about taking a cab to ??? location from the airport and then a city bus to cut costs a bit? Tons of luggage? Paris Hilton I ain't. A small backpack and my dick is all I am bringing. The dick is wallet size but if you rub it a little it turns in to a suitcase.

    OK Mr Jetsetter,

If Iīm not on one of my luxury mongering trips paid for by my ill gotten gains, Iīll be glad to take you to the Trocadero in May.

    Dickhead,

Iīm sure the buses will be running. Donīt forget that the important time is Christmas Eve. Everyone eats at 12 midnight. Christmas day isnīt a big deal here. The trip will take you about 8 hours and normally costs between 40 and 60 soles, (about $12 to $18). Holidays such as Christmas will have around a 30% surcharge. Take a cab to the Fiori Terminal. It is closest to the airport and has the cheapest buses. There is no central terminal and each bus line has its own building in various locations of Lima. Fiori has all the more or less informal buses. Definitely the cheapest and surest way to go in that there are tons of buses leaving from there at all price levels. The cab should cost you about 10 soles. Get a white station wagon independent cab which will be on your left walking about 20 meters after getting out of customs. Avoid the taxi vulture mafia with photo checks and signs saying "official taxi"..but I think you know all about this. If you donīt have a ton of luggage I strongly suggest you look for a cab outside the airport, but around the ENTRANCE TO THE PARKING LOT. This means about a 50 meter walk. They have now organized things so that the independent cabs inside the airport canīt take the road to where you are going without taking a long detour and paying a toll. Its all confusing and I wonīt try to explain more here. Remember that you can get in touch with me if you have any problem or question. I will give you my phone numbers if you want and PM me.

Ooops, just read that you booked from the San Isidro terminal. I suggest you forget about it and do what I suggest above. San Isidro is a fair cab drive south and Trujillo is north. You will be wasting time and money. There will probably be a bus leaving within minutes of your arrival at Fiori. Not as luxurious as Cruz del Sur, but as I remember, this isnīt as important to you as saving time and money. But as they say in LOS, "up to you".

I hate to be taken seriously...

My post was an attempt to be humorous, after wading thru page after page of the Tony USA vs. David 33 conflict. I was thinking my reference to Tony USA in my post would have been the giveaway.

    Surfer,
My experiences in Indonesia consisted of a few visits to a large, government-run bordello near Palu, Sulawesi in 1994, long before I even knew how to access the internet, let alone post on any mongers board. I do have the cojones to visit Colombia, although I don't think I'd feel as comfortable traveling around the countryside, as I'm planning on doing during my Peru trip next May, in which I plan on spending at least a week in the Amazon region and another somewhere in the Andes. I am sure I will make it to Colombia in the next year or two. While I have indeed been to every place sited in my post -- with the exception of the truck stop in Wyoming -- I am not operating under any illusions that I am some kind of special monger. My resume absolutely pales compared to someone like the Saint's or a dozen other mongers I've been lucky enough to meet. I was perhaps riffing off the fact that some of the mongers I have met have such incredible, unwarranted egos.

    R Brandon,
Yes, I post on both the ISG and CRT boards, although I don't recall ever being much of a "problem." By the way, I think you have been a marvelous contributor to the CRT board and am glad you are now active on the ISG.

I truly am looking forward to perhaps meeting some of the Lima regulars when I visit next May. Contrary to my post, the drinks will be on me!

OK, I booked the Expreso Cruz del Sur and it leaves at 10:30 PM from San Isidro district. So forget my question about whether the bus runs on Christmas; it does. I have RTFF of course but from looking at maps it is unclear to me if there is anything to do in this district. It's an overnight bus so I will save the hotel cost. But other than getting mind numbingly drunk between my plane's arrival and my bus's departure, any suggestions for this length of time in Lima? I've been there before so I don't give a shit about any touristic stuff but given that it will be Christmas Day, what might be my options?

So how much does beer cost there? I just remember really disliking Cristal.

    1) Will the intercity buses be running on Christmas Day?
    2) Someone told me Trujillo is 8 hours by bus and another guy claims it's 6 hours. Anyone know the truth?
    3) Approximate bus fare?
    4) Is Lima like Buenos Aires with one big intercity bus terminal or is it like Santiago with several, each serving a few different cities?
    5) How much should I pay for a cab from the airport to the bus station?

Any other helpful advice will be appreciated.

Don't you want to know how much the Brahma costs per liter?
