thank you, i will. but alas i probably won't be reporting about it. tiger has succeeded in having me censored, and i find it difficult to write about my experiences if i can't mention how the actual sex takes place. i always like to think i'm giving information to people who are looking for what i'm looking for.

however, amjeck, i can comment generally that you are correct about the pimp-connection in issan. i have met two or three of these mama-san pimps around, and in smaller towns where traditional brothels are basically not tolerated anymore these ladies are a good connection. however so far i haven't found their quality to be any better than the old brothels used to have. Unfortunately in most low-end Thai-oriented venues pay before is the norm. So you have little or no influence over the quality of service. Also on my last visits they have always demanded 400 baht, including from my Thai friends who have gone both with me and without me at times. I think you can still expect to get service for 300 at Soi Sow Fie Dang.

As for going to the Charoensi Grand for short time - that seems strange. Isn't that a 1,000-1,500 baht hotel? Better go to a cheaper place. No one is comfortable in such a place, least of all working girls whose legal status may be questionable.

I went to soi 2 and wherever I go I was quoted 400 baths. 300 was impossible to get.

My friend didn't want me to go there because he said these girls are controlled but it's not so easy, girls can go to hotel alone.

I first took a girl in her room but had to pay the pimp first. Ok. No BBBJ and couldn't argue for it as I had alreaday paid.

I thank our benefactor for his clarification and I will endeavor not to taunt anyone.

My backlog is like this - I've been visiting Khon Kaen a lot, where I find that more and more I gravitate towards Ceasar. Its a good mid-priced place where you get a bit more value than at Kosa, and the girls aren't quite so full of themselves. I suppose working at Kosa those girls rightfully think they're the 'best in town'. The girls at Lilly's (at the Princess hotel) are only 1,000, but they're just not quite up to the standard looks or age wise.

I've had several girls recently from the 1,200 baht (Bird Bird) category at Ceasar, and they've been great. Yes it is still a lot of money but somehow I just can't stand going to the little brothels in KK - as others have recently reported, most of the girls there are so impertinent! (And I do find that impertinence is predictive of bad service).

I also made one visit to the nearby (one hour further down the road) town of Maha Sarakham, where I found that the little brothels that were there years ago seem to be permanently gone. They even seemed to be literally knocked down and their soi utterly deserted. However in that part of the downtown near the old brothel soi - basically along the canal between the big hotel and the downtown shopping mall - I was approached each of the two nights I was there by a different mama-with-girls between nine and eleven PM. The mamas were old hags, each with 2-3 girls, all riding motorbikes (or sitting in wait upon them).

The offerings were similar to the old brothels - cute but far from beautiful 19-25 year old Thai girls, who charge Thai guys 500 baht. Though both evenings I was quoted 1,000 I easily bargained to 600. Poor service of course, but I got the bare minimum at a nearby short-time hotel. Interestingly, when I was at this hotel (called the 'Holiday Inn'), another mamasan had a gathering of girls in one of the rooms and she tried to approach me but my girl and her mama-san sort of interposed themselves. I think the second mama looked to have much better looking girls. Alas when I came out an hour later they had all left. If only we could get ahold of the phone numbers the local Thai guys have, as I think the good pimps never troll the streets.

There are often similar pimp-and-girl groups near the old bus station in Khon Kaen but I haven't had much luck with them. They seem more hard-bitten - the girls I tried in M.S. were like kind of awkward country girls. I also checked out the short time motel I know in Khon Kaen - I think it is called the Playboy Hotel - for such girls hanging around, but there were none. As I mentioned in a previous report the bellman at Princess would call girls for perusal, but they were nothing special and 1,200 baht. So, I'm still searching for connections in KK, which I visit much more often.

I should be making it up to Udon in the next couple of weeks. My Thai friends keep visiting there and report that all is open and functioning, but they always complain that their favorites are never there - in other words the turnover of girls is very high.

I saw that ruling and frankly do not interpret it as censoring you in any way. Quite the contrary, Jackson is telling guys like Tiger to restrict their complaints about unsafe sex practices to the Safe Sex thread, and to stop taunting you for your opinions and activities.

In short, your reports have not violated any of the forums rules IMO, and you should have no fear of continuing your informative and interesting contributions.

For the sake of clarity, I have revised my post of 04-14-09 to remove my original references to reporting Opebo's posts.

The bottom line is this: I don't want a chorus of do-gooders chiming in every time somebody mentions that they didn't use a condom, but I also don't want guys taunting the do-gooders by unnecessarily amplifying their bare back exploits.

Admittedly the distinction is a fine line whose precise position is still under development.
