    Is AIRBNB illegal in Singapore?

    1. Owners of HDB (Housing Development Board) flats are not allowed to rent out their flats / apartments to tourists in Singapore, and they cannot rent out their flat for less than 6 months;.

    2. Private Residential Property Owners cannot rent out their properties for less than 3 months, unless they have permission from the UDA (Urban Development Authority) which obviously doesn't suit most AirBNBers.

Probably is? Scam or something cheating?

I just did an airbnb search in singapore and found dozens of places that are less than $100/ night (this is USD as I live in the USA). You need to use the tabs at the top to narrow things down. I'm sure you can do this on your own. NOw if you say you are going there next week. Well, its pretty late to find things in your price range. But look on a search.

Or you can stay in a hostel in SG. There are many. Just search "hostels". Cheap, have wifi, aircon, etc. Probably can't bring a girl there to the upper bunk though.

Check out ballester Road, they have a lot of DIVE hotels that are cheap (and many are per hour rates in additions, the rooms are pitiful). I generally use airBNB in SG and get a whole place for under $100 a night. Wifi, kitchen, etc. And always near the MRT. You can go to airBNB and use their advanced search function to narrow down the selections. And look for a whole place, not a room where there are other people in the place.

It's been said many times here, and your own common-sense should tell you, that if you write to a hotel and ask for their policy on girls in rooms you will ALWAYS get the sanitised policy line that fits the country regulations.

They don't know whether you are a genuine monger or an agency looking to trap a hotel into admitting it allows prostitution, so you will always get the standard reply. As advised, be sure that you book for two, and double down at check-in by asking for 2 keycards / keys which implies the 2nd guest will be arriving "later".

IMHO, make sure you are booked for double occupancy, which is standard in 95% of establishments. If breakfast is thrown in, your guest can dine too. Even if the face in different each morning. The registration is for your protection but if you walk straight by, they will usually turn a blind eye. Some establishments have a no guest policy after a certain hour but I find it is more to prevent a party room or suite at a hotel. Sooooo. Bring a gag for her. LOL!

Thanks bro. I emailed them to ask about their guest policy, and they mentioned a "stringent" rule of having all guests register at reception. Guess this is just their "policy", but in reality they just turn a blind eye. Thanks for the tip about the side elevator. Will come in handy!
