Tips should be not more then 10% if you are completely satisfied compared to your avarage experience - like all over the world 10% to appreciate the girls performance (don´t mix this up with love :-))

Most of the guys tipping thai (asian) beauties because this is the only place in the world where they can look like some kind of generous hero! Don´t think that they tip in theire home countries.

I have been reading all the "chatter" about tipping in Thailand. Bottom line is: the Thai's don't tip.

And does anyone know what the daily average wage is in BKK? It's less than most of your tips.

I disagree, the price of P4P has been the same here for many, many years, with only a slight increase in what i like to think of as the unwritten prices of P4P. What has happened is the number of Japanese tourists has drastically increased, and they have discovered Nana, we now have many bars catering to their likes and dislikes and the girls have gotten together and agreed to charge double the norm and that word has spread, leading to 'chancers' trying to get more from everyone. If a girl didn't try to get more than the going rate out of me at least once i'd be disappointed, but once they know i know the score, the usual prices follow. A few hundred blokes paying an extra 1,000 baht too much here and there does not skew the entire scene. It merely develops more chancers, who if handled correctly will soon retract, and if they don't, simply move on to the next.
I've lived here for 8+yrs now, and the cost of living has certainly risen, P4P prices have not, if a few extra baht from me to the girl ends up costing you more, send me an invoice

I think other guys would naturally tip as i did if they received the same service anyway....if they can afford it that is. The standard fare In Chav is a CBJ and a bath, a lot of girls to BBJ to get a small tip, a lot of girls do more than one shot to get more of a tip, 1 girl that i experienced in 100+ visits gave hot and cold tea BBBJ, Listerine BJ, lots of touching and naked play (not typical), for these wonderful 'extras' i tipped 500baht more than my/the usual 300 baht, the way i see it, this girl might usually provide crappy CBJ for her clients, she tries out a new thing and is pleasantly rewarded, fellow mongers who follow are now also in receipt of good services, because she knows she gets more for it. I reward good service, the same as i penalise crappy service.

You want to turn them into western *****s? -You are only a thousand or so baht away. A person has to be blind not to see the difference in their attitude in just a few years. Instead of buddha greeting you get a hardcore look of a con artist. Actually, one can stay home and not go anywhere to know that 700B tip for 1300B service for 1 or 2 shots, which supposedly includes tips, ruins it for others, in the long run. Girls are beginning to throw things at punters for not getting 1000B tip. I read the report, could even be in this forum, where a girl started laughing after receiving 1000B for 2000B service, claiming she is typically getting 3000B tip. She got lucky and the guy, who didn't know the score, gave it to her. I don't know you and have no idea if you overpay or underpay, based on only one post (don't have time to flick through all of your posts). I do think thai men don't tip ,I have been going to catherine massage most thai man go there and you get 2 shot there for 1700bht ,I offer the girl 300
bht tip at the end she was shock like she never been tip before .

like is a girl demand it , I was in Thong Lor II last month at soi 24 area a oil
massage place ,The girl is pushing for full service from the beginning and alot of teasing in the shower since I only want a massage and want to get a all nighter later in Nana I told her pass after the massage she demand 1000 tip and i offer 300 bht she say no way , The oil massage is 600 bht and she want double that will not let me leave until I paid and I call in the manager she tell the girl to thrown my shoes out the door very bad place to go should to on the "AVOID" list .

It's wicked that the girl throws THB 100 notes around, considering the face displayed on that note. Usually that is a total no and seems to confirm that she either had a serious temper or more likely, was truly on the edge (drugs or what not).

Since there are a couple of MPs in Soi 24, you should provide the name of the establishment if you want to help other mongers (or massage-only enthusiasts) avoid it. Was it "Lotus" (the first one the left if you enter Soi 24), for instance, or "Orient Massage"?

My guess would also be that going to one of these places for massage only is not a very good strategy. The girls' income is mainly based on what they earn by providing special services there, so it isn't a surprise that they aren't happy if only massage (without a tip in the end) is requested.

Thong Lor II is the name of this massage place ,I think it is the same management of Thong Lor 1 it is the first alley on the left of soi 24 ,This place is cater to japanese maybe that is why the girl is so spoil to large tip even without extra service and the management here let the girls demand for tip.

From what I see from your last 7-8 post, you are fixed on problems of too much tipping-maybe too fixed. Although I do agree with you that some are giving way, way too much tips (100% tips or more), I still give tips on what I think is appropriate ( for me: I grew up in a country thats normal for giving about 15% tips for good service, so thats what I usually stick to (give or take 5% difference)--unless the gal is truly exceptional and delivered way beyond what was expected--then a bit more tip. On the other hand, if service was shit, then no tips. And finally, gals that "demand" a high tip usually end up getting none from me.--IMO

Last Friday i visited an old favorite, Chavalla II, its an old, run down place, but its clean, the girls are fun and the quality of service has always been to my liking. For those that Don't know the typical format is pick a girl from the fishbowl, its 1,300 baht for 2hrs, which includes a massage, an assisted bath and a BJ, no tip required, but the girls are always after a 2nd shot, usually a few hundred baht more, and some will try to get 3 or 4 shots out of you !

Well the girls have improved a lot, the quality was much better with at least 5 or 6, 7-8's and the age had come down with plenty of early 20's, i picked #23, Pookie, very fit boddy, slim, nice firm, natural breasts, not small, not huge, in the room she asks if i want Thai massage or oil massage ? Never had this before, the format is as above everytime, i responded with neither and that i wanted lots of BJ action, she laughed and asked if i was married ! anyway, service was fantastic, enjoyed 2 BBBJ, bit no CIM, also enjoyed a hot and cold tea BJ, and even a Listerine BJ which did not burn at all and felt great, after this i was spent but she really wanted FS ?!?! not usual, but she said the place was BJ place, but what happened in the room is up to her ! Girls in this category rely on a 'decent' tip to live, not an excessively stingy insulting 150 Baht.

Considering the cost 150B is a very decent tip considering the cost of services. The level of service will drop if she becomes accustomed to 500b (100%) tip. Asking him if he would do it for that much is crazy.

Your experience only confirms what I've been saying all along. Tip by definition cannot be demanded. If she "demanded" 1000B from me the 300B tip would be withdrawn immediately. Next time she wouldn't try it to avoid loosing the 300B tip. The reason this is happening at all is that weak guys succumb to their demands. Farangs (from all continents) are killing the scene. In Japan the level of service does not typically deteriorate with price increases - it has to do with their culture. In the west the service is the first thing to go when prices are taken out of proportion. So the men who come to LOS to avoid westernized prostitution scene are turning it into exactly the same thing they have back home.

As my post below #1661 stated, Based on the original post--200b is what I would have given for that session. But I also did say more tipping would be OK with other factors involved. Tipping is a personal thing so too much differences among everyone. In the end--its what Thai gals say to me "Up to you".--IMO

Tipping might be personal but the person should not screw it up for others. You give her 1000B tip for 2000B service and she thinks you are stupid. Thais would never do that. All it will do the next time she will demand 1000B tip and then demand 3000B from a guy willing to give her 1000B. Read some reports here. Soon after, her service will suck even if you give her what she wants. If we want good service we need to learn not to be insulted - Thais would probably kick their ass if their even mentioned 1000B tip. They know how to treat people with respect when they have to. But they will not do it automatically - they are *****s. And people who say 1000B is just a lousy $ 27 should not be coming to Thailand at all. I'm surprised they have enough brains to buy a ticket. These fools are responsible for 80% of bad experiences punters have in LOS nowadays. But back to your post - 200B tip you mentioned is reasonable if you liked the service.

This experience can be posted with just about any MP name in BKK as there will always be good ones and bad ones. I've also had bad times from places that others have posted as good places so its really the gal that makes the difference. Most of the time if you stick with the gals (#)recommended by others (no matter what the MP name) the chances of getting a good experience will be greater.
