It is the same as what we say about Black Beards. The place sucks. It is out in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing to do. Then after 10 minutes of laughter we like the idea the spots we like get bad press. Keeps away the traffic!

MDE could be great; it just did not work for me. 31 flavors may be the key. But (and this is the last thing I have to say) I was not looking for a girl friend or anything like that. Why would I, when I was only staying short time with no intent to ever return? What I was looking for was prostitutes who gave good service, and I did my research and tried hard to find them, and I did not find them. I did not go to discos and so forth in search of amateurs.

Maybe Paisas make great girlfriends but in my opinion they make lousy prostitutes. Also when I say people were not friendly that was, generally, across the board. Now Lina at Greg's mansion is friendly. The maids are not friendly. The security guard is not friendly. The clerks in the kioskos and the supermercados are not friendly. The people who sell tickets in the Metro are pretty friendly. Some of the security people in my building were somewhat friendly but most were not. As I said in my first post, shyness may be a part of it. I have heard that Colombians can be shy. I am not.

So now I will take my fat, bald, pear shaped ass off of your board.

I agree with this. Compared to other places in S. America the Pros in MDE are OK. The regular girls are on another level, but if someone wanted to go somewhere just for great pro P4P I would not recomend MDE, or Colombia for that fact. If someone wanted to find a super hott GF or wanted to stick to the regular scene MDE is the first place i would recomened

I have to thank Dickhead for perhaps unintentionally, shining the spotlight on the prostitution scene in MDE, and by extension, S America.

Bluntly put, on average, the Korean 'table shower' places in NYC give better gfe and service than any latina hookers, from the Rio Grande to the Tierra del Fuego. Thats been my experience, over and over. Asia is where the ultimate hooker experience is to be had IMHO.

South/Central America's attraction is, I believe, the normal women, who are beautiful, loving, and plentiful. And available with a minimum of effort.

Ricker makes lots of good points about having a good attitude, locations to meet etc. It appears that the latin culture places much less emphasis on money that we do, and a smile and a sense of humor will get the visitor much further than a robust Amex card.

One of the nicest times I had in S America was recently when I went to the bullfight in Medellin on Saturday afternoon with a couple of other guys. Outside the stadium, after the show, there was a band, and tables were set up where you could eat and drink. So we sat down and ordered a bottle of rum. Soon, someone at an adjacent table asked where we were from. A drunk came up and asked us for a drink and we obliged, again and again. Then a lady from a nearby table asked us if we knew how to dance. Soon we were dancing with the ladies, both young and old, and chatting with them. What a great time! Truly, its hard to stay a stranger for long in latin america.

For the guys that may want to get away from el Poblado, or take a break from mongering: I've seen and met some absolute beautiful chicas (non-pros) in el Parque de Bello (the park in Bello). Bello is a very humble (mostly poor) municipality just outside of Medellin.

Take the metro to Niquia station and then a short cab ride to the park.
Obviously, the more you speak spanish, the better.
Weekends are great as well as daily afternoons as the girls are getting off work / school.

Another great place I love to hang out in the afternoons is near the football stadium, el Estadio, at Obilisco (an outdoor mall), near the massage place Energy.
Great place to see and meet non-pros as they get off work / school.

Wow, I have been visiting Medellin for years and have found both fantastic, the pros and girlfriends. Of course I try to stay away from the mainstream pros, the ones that have been around all the gringos, and I definitely stay away from the rich, snobby, Poblado chicas as far as non-pros go.

Also incredible to say the maids and security guards at the Mansion are not friendly. I have become absolute amigos with about all of them from the Mansion and the Castillo. Great, humble people. Visiting them, as well as Roberto of the Castillo is about the only reason I still stay there.

I took them (the maids) all out one night to a Vallenato dance club (Colombian country music) for rum and dancing ... great time, among the best times I've have had in Medellin.

Anyway, it's a shame your impression of Medellin and the Paisas is like that.

Its all good man. As for the running no worries. I actually fight muay thai been doing it for 6 years. Started boxing 3 years ago to perfect my standup/punching. Did professional fights in holland, Thailand and n. America. So I think the running wouldn't be a problem; )

Makes me laugh when I see guys on this board barking that $100 for a girl is way to much and they try and chip her down to 60-80 whatever. You can be a 50 year old guy and still pick up non pros whatever. Its all in your game! There are good looking older guys, fat older guys with game. I know that.

Dickhead came on this board and bashed the people of Medellin. It's personally one of my favorite cities in the latin world and I think colombians are the most beautiful of latin women. I have been to almost all latin countries from Mexico down to Argentina. I have seen it all. All I was doing was defending the good people of Medellin and was trying to pin point why he was not received well by the people of this great city. So that is why I brought up points like.

Maybe was not considered an attractive person in there eyes. Maybe the word ugly was harsh. I know.

Or his attitude, personality sucked, he was dull, boring and didn't look like a good time, was not dressed appropriatley, etc. I think these would be some of the first things someone would bring up if you said you didn't have a good time or were not received well by the people there.

I just didn't want to see guys on this board who have never been to Medellin to be turned off by it because of dickheads post. Thats all.

Most mongers on this board could never get a normal non pro in a regular bar if they were just going to a country for a few weeks to a month.
I have travelled the world and seen mongers in all countries. Are you going to tell me that the magority of mongers are George Clooneys? Majority of mongers I have seen are older dirty non attractive men

That certainly hasn't been my impression, although I thinks its fair to say that different cities draw a different type of monger. For ex. the monger crowd in TJ on a saturday night differs greatly from the mongers in Buenos Aires.

The mongers I've met in MDE, BA and San Jose were, for the most part, either professionals or business owners. And consistent with their educational and financial status, were mostly in good physical shape too.

I don't think that the average cop, plumber etc. can just fly to Medellin for five days to romp with prostitutes. They have schedules that they don't control, and they have budgets. Its the professional/business crowd that can indulge themselves this way. And they CHOOSE to do this, because they can.

Don't discount the travel aspect of all this also. Lots of the mongers are informed and curious and like to see new places, people, and of course, females.

I disagree with you dickhead (that doesn't sound good does it? ).

I've been to BA an Medellin quite extensively. I have family in BA and have been there well over a dozen times.

Both have beautiful women. I think if you are talking non-pro, Medellin has much nicer girls. BA women non-pros are not as approachable in my opinion.

I think it is easier to get a GFE from a girl in BA easier the first encounter. It takes an MDE Pro at least 2 times to get a good GFE.

You are more apt to get a Porno experience in BA. But neither BA or MDE holds a candle to Rio.

The problem with MDE non-pros is they profess their love for you only after a few dates. Its unbelievable. I've had to cut a few loose because they got too attached too early.

When Olga and I split, I only had a week left in Medellin. I met two women that wanted to be my girlfriend in only a week. They were strictly non-pro and beautiful as any pro out there.

So, while I see he had a bad experience in MDE, I don't think he ever really gave it a chance.

"Big Red" AKA Carrottop is one of the legends of BA and is a very traveled and savvy monger. I seriously doubt he meets the profile of a guy with no game who thinks every chica in Colombia will spread em just because he has a Blue passport. In fact, his coloration is almost Paisa like which should be a plus.

That said, I find his comment about Anti_americanism very surprising (Argentines are WAY more "liberal" and "anti W" than Colombians!). Look at the riots and looting at the Summit in Mar Del Plata as an example. Would NEVER happen that way in Colombia. Remember Colombia is the ONLY country in all of South America led by a rightwing ally of the US, hence Colombians tend to be the most PRO American folk in all of SA.

I also find his comments about the Paisa being underwhelming (and corpulent) surprising. Argentines and Venezuelans are the most obsessed nationalities with being svelte, to the point that anorexia is a serious problem, but the Paisa are hardly American midwest style Heifers LOL!

So the guy prefers BA over Medellin, what is the big deal? No need to insult his game or appearance. As a friend who lives in Pattaya and does not "get" South America is fond of saying: "There is a reason Baskin & Robbins has 31 flavors".

Thanks, David. I ain't bald either, just for the record, and there is nothing wrong with my teeth. Out of shape I guess is subjective but yesterday I ran 6km in 32 minutes, after half an hour of other aerobic stuff. Can you do that, Meister Brau? I never wore shorts in Colombia at any time and never left the house without a collared shirt.

Also I did not think the average woman in Medellín was very good looking but that is subjective as well. Lots of gordas.

Well, having met Dickhead in B.A., I would have to say that he isn't all that ugly, and is definitely not fat, nor did I ever see him in a hawaiian shirt. He also has quite a lot of female fans in Argentina where he is known as the "red bull". A couple of years ago he counted up all the different girls he banged in a year. I don't remember the total and am too lazy to look it up on the Arg. Forum, but as I remember it was in the hundreds.
