    Airfare!!

    Hey Guys,

I am in Santo Domingo would like to take a trip to Cuba. I've looked at the airfare from here to Havana and it's ridiculously expensive ($500-$600 USD)!

Does anybody have experience flying to Cuba from DR? Is it normally this expensive? Any ideas on alternatives?

    I would appreciate any advice.

    Thanks,

    Neidermeyer

I speak from first hand knowledge (please don't ask how because I will not tell you) that undeniably, manifests ARE shared. The real question is whether you are "important" enough or not to go after. They have better things to do right now than go after casual travelers. Just don't fool yourself into believing that they don't know. It's just a matter of prevailing enforcement policy.
As BeersTerry said - yes it is true - for OVERFLIGHTS of the US - manifests are shared - there was a big outrage when the canadian airlines shared their manifests. AS for travel from that do not involve overflights from non-US destination to other non-US destination - I am not sure. maybe si maybe no

But shit man, there is NO WAY the cubans have shared manifests with the USA since the revolucion

Any overflights of U.S. territory means that U.S. authorities have the flight manifest.

Who read this guy Drakars deleted posts? Was the pussy-dreamer slamming me for telling him the truth on Cuba?

Dude, ehhmm... I'll help you. Been to Cuba more times than I can count, screwed more cubanas than I can count, and I'll help you by telling you that:

    1) Your dreams don't match Cuba. You have the wrong impression about Cuba.

    2) You REALLY need to read these forums.

    1 in details:
It's been many years since Cuba was a screw-your-brains-out destination. Prostitution is illegal and there is perhaps nowhere in the world where this law is enforced more than in Cuba.
Girls are all scared. You can't talk to them on the street. To know how to get things going in Cuba, you need to have studied Cuba and the pick-up techniques during many visits. Even then it's a tough challenge.
If you speak good Spanish, you still have a chance of meeting good looking cuban girls who are not worn out *****s. But donřt expect to meet more than one or two in a week. If you don't speak good Spanish your only option is the clubs late at night where you can pick up pro hookers.

    2 in details:
From your post it is clear that you have no idea what's going on in Cuba. You saw some girl apparently from Cuba on a pornsite and while you still had a hard on you posted in here? Just a guess... Well, she is not Cuban. She doesn't look Cuban at all. And Cuban girls don't appear on pornsites since theyd be put in prison for years if they did.

So get back to reality. Forget about Cuba unless you are interested in culture, salsa and rum. Then go visit Cuba and hope for an erotic adventure or two duting your visit. If you want to screw every day with hot girls start researching Brazil, Argentina, Thailand, Phillipines, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic.

This may sound tough - but it is the best help you are going to get. I am saving you the time, the worris, the money that you are thinking about wasting.

Last but not least: Are you Cuban American? If not, you do realize that out of all of the above mentioned mongering-destinations Cuba is the only one where it is illegal for you to go?

And very last but not least: Did you jerk off and forget about Cuba again? I hope you did :-) Really don't want to see you on my next trip there wandering around with a hard on pouring sweat looking like someone who has been walking the streets for days because he thought he could go to Cuba and fuck beautiful young girls on a daily basis...

What is the best place to be in Cuba to meet the largest number of BEAUTIFUL young horny Cuban girls that are ready to play? Havana? Somewhere else?

I like Cuban girls that look like this (hair, skin tone) but preferably younger:

    http://www.latinas4you.com/photos/cuban_pornstar.jpg

I like sweet, innocent-looking Cuban girls who are light bronze complexion, thin, long black hair, and preferably between 18-24. Sexy college type girls that I can spoil and will be free to come to my apartment for all night fun.

How do I find a casa particular where the owners will go away and let me have privacy so I can screw many girls as loudly as I want?

I need help! Is anyone there for me to make my dreams come true? If you live in Cuba I will even pay you if you get me what I want and make my travels a truly memorable experience!

Bikers and Biker Chicks For Bikers

    B) road/traffic quality? (is there good infrastructure in between the cities? )

    C) mosquito/pest volume? (what's the environment like in between? Is the volume of mosquitos unbearable? )

    Dear Pussy Engineer,

I too have contemplated doing a x-country bike tour in Cuba. I have driven all over the island from east to west and seen bike tour groups. I have only biked in the cities. To answer your questions:

    A) Air quality is horrid in the cities. But excellent between the cities.

    A) are there a lot of commercial vehicles on the roads?

Traffic is low outside the cities. Very few cubans have cars.commercial traffic is light. On the autopista. You will have an open road. However you will have to share the road (yes even their main interstate highway. The autopista) with horse-drawn carriages and other cyclists.

    B) road/traffic quality? (is there good infrastructure in between the cities? ) the roads are crappy. Lots of potholes. There is poor or no lighting at nite.

    C) mosquito/pest volume? (what's the environment like in between? Is the volume of mosquitos unbearable? )

I only found mosquitos in the swampy area near the bay of pigs Cuba. And these were unbearable. They werent reppelled by Cuba mosquito repellant. However. I found no problem with mosquitos in any other area of Cuba.

    D) chika volume?

Forget about it. Look at the latest forum posts.

    CONS

    A) keep your bike locked at all times. Bikes are the #1 target of thieves. Bike theft is rampant (I was told by my cuban friends)

    B) the road surfaces are poorly maintained comapred to western standards.

    C) yes, Cuba has tons of bikers and horse-drawn carriages on the roads. The problem is that the few cubans who DO have cars. Drive like maniacs. I am surprised there are so few fatalities. They drive like manaics. But they know there is always a biker or a horse up ahead so. I guess they are hyper vigilant

    D) There is a shortage of maps. I had a hell of a time getting a map. I got an excellent one. Spiral bound. Very detailed. Water repellant. Called "Guia De Carreteras". Weighs about 4-5lbs. It has all the intercity routes and street maps of major cities. As well a mileage guide. It is made by gaviota. You might be able to get it at w w w. G a v I o t a. G are you p o. See o m

    PROS. SUMMARY

IF I were to do a x-country biking trip. My #1 choice would be Cuba. Why?

    A) few cubas have cars and they are a biking culture. Threfore they are geared towards being biker-friendly. There is a good infrastructure to support bikers. This is a very bike-friendly culture

    B) violent crime, muggings and homicides are very low. I feel Cuba is one of the safest countries in which to do a x-country trip.

    C) there are several cuban bike clubs with which you can hook up. You are better off going with a tour.

    D) Cuba has a network of 100's (600? ) inexpensive campgrounds with cabins (these facilities are called campismos) that are meant for the vacationing needs of the ordinary cuban. These have no a/c (I only stayed in one. And that was were mosquitos were a problem. I am not sure if they are all like that). These places are clean but pretty shabby.

I don't know how much your bike weighs. But you will probably be killed by excess weight charges at the airport. Also. Bring proof of your bike weight because they will try to cheat you at the airline counter and claim it weighs more than it actually does.

Also. If you have or can purchase an inexpensive bike for your trip. You might consider. To save on paying the excess charges. To buy a cheap bike and then LEAVE your bike in Cuba. There are some mighty needy people there.

    Hi there

    A) Air quality in Santiago and Havana is bad (many old and bad cars). On the countryside its ok.

    B) Roads between the cities are ok. There's a fairly good a Highway (Nobody cares if you bike on it). The Roads in the cities may be a little bit rough though.

    C) In the cities its ok (due to bad air) everywhere else use repellent.

    D) Chicas may be found everywhere. Outside Havana you might do better with some Spanish knowledge.

By the way: Don't expect to find a bike shop over there. All they have are some recycled old bikes sponsored from China. So you better take with you what you might need. And use Google Maps to see some pics of the roads.

    Have fun
    El

They don't have to "make the case". They already have the proof that you've been there. FYI, I have had at least 50 people in the last few years write to me asking me to help them after they've been snagged. All have been "casual travelers".
Do yourself a favor. Don't be a cheap ass....get a license and go without the worry or potential hassle.

    - Just curious? Why are you going to Cuba? If its mostly for mongering, there are better and cheaper places to go.

    Thanks very much Isla,

I realize the mongering has deteriorated, but I made a promise to get there before Fidel dies. I feel like I missed the boat a little, but still it'd be nice just to see the place and talk to people before it changes too much.

    - I don't care what people tell you, YES, all countries DO share flight manifests. Trust me, I know this first hand. That being said, its all how much the Obama admin wants to enforce it. If caught, its a HUGE pain in the ass and you may get slapped with a $10,000 fine (there are ways to fight it to have it reduced, but again, a huge PITA). The worst part is you will be in Homeland Security's system forever.

I know I would be alright leaving from someplace like Caracas, but I am trying to think of places with short flights like Dominican republic, or another cheap, close and safe hub to Cuba. Any recommendations?

I read back in the forum and some old postings on the subject I cannot find for the life of me. Really trying to avoid over-posting on the subject.
