You can give money to family. Friends, strangers without demanding sex or any illicit favors from them, or turning them into prostitutes.
Of course the pros will demand money. They would call policias if you don't pay up. But most Mexico's civies, students or single moms, are usually in dire financial straits, and too proud to ask for anything fearing jeopardizing their dignity or the relationship prospects. The guys also fear insulting the girls offering them money.
Guys could thank the girls for their time and company, and gently ask if they can offer them some money for transportation and shopping etc. If the girls don't vigorously refuse, then figure out what's fair and affordable to offer them. I suggested hourly rate double California minimum wage as fair and affordable if you value their company and time. You don't want to be cheap to the poor girls you just met. El Cheapos are usually reviled and banished, and the words do spread.
When dating civies overseas, I usually gave away all local currencies left at the end of the trip, usually a couple days worth of local hotel, food, transportation, suggesting I no longer needed them and the girls could use them for petty cash. Never got turned down even by some of the highly educated, sophisticated, dignified females.

Seems like you are use to ZN and Tijuana prices, these gals come from Guadalajara and tour around Mexico and some parts of Europe, yes they shoot flicks but they are escorts.
