There are anti-brothel laws, at least in Baja. I think other states have similar laws, but I've heard that some states don't. Regardless, they exist in Tijuana. AFAIK, there are also anti-pimping laws in MX. So, again theoretically, it's illegal to operate an escort business. How often that's enforced I can't say.

Beyond the obvious, my biggest reason for traveling hours and hours to Tijuana is the legality and ease. To put your mind at ease, you can be standing next to the policia and negotiate away with the girl of your choice.

I am by no means an expert in Mexican law. But, zona norte is the zone of tolerance. Pretty much anything goes with regards to SGs and BGs. Yes, Ticuan for example, is outside the tolerance zone, as are many other hotels you'll read about here. I have not ever read of any legal issue within Tijuana regarding an escort. Some hotels are more girl-friendly. And depending on where you go with a girl in Tijuana, you may get some disapproving looks from some. But legality of prostitution should be the least of your concerns.

I will say this though. I have heard of issues with picking up girls along Revolucion. I think that is frowned upon. I have been approached there twice and declined both times. I have also read that sometimes those situations are a setup to get mugged. But you will have no issues selecting an escort from any of the sites you see on this board.

Long overdue report.

Spent many many days in Mexico and great times in many great city. Majority of the time was not hobbying but enjoying the beautiful country. So it begins with Tijuana, as this was my base for flying domestically everywhere.
