I really wished I got a cut. The reality is IMHO there are a lot of really good looking escorts out there. And I realize as far as bang for the buck, one can't even come close to the selection of SG and average BG. I'm just saying that this is an alternative for the first timer or those that don't visit often. And it's a great alternative in the AM to early PM when the pickings are rather slim on the weekdays. Darn, should have paid better attention. Can't remember her name, was new girl, working there a few weeks. Spoke really good English. Didn't really listen once we couldn't negotiate the prices. Just got back from Tijuana and while $60 can be easily had, there seems to be a lot more in the $80 - $100 range. Even met a girl in HK that would not budge from her $100 price. The fact that I speak very little Spanish also might be a huge deterrent to negotiations.

I think much the same but would like to expand a bit.

When you pick a bar girl, you pick based on seeing, watching, and talking. When you pick an escort you just see a picture and a bit of text. Easier for me to pick a bar girl.

The bar girls show up to the room 100% of the time. The escorts show up most of the time, sometimes they flake out and don't show up.

I think the bar girl prices quoted are a bit higher than I've paid and the escort prices a little lower. But, those prices depend on a lot of factors.

Two factors have recently shown up. Prices of girls at Adelita's and Hong Kong seems to have gone up, where most are "asking" $80 - $100 for a short time. The other is there has been an influx of new escort sites (and some older ones) that are now in English, for us foreigners.

Now I realize YMMV, and you can try and "renegotiate" pricing in the bars in Zona Norte but I'm writing this mostly for some of those visiting for the first, or a short time. I'm using averages and round numbers, but I hope you get the gist of what I'm trying to say: Which is escorts may be a better bargain for a lot of you.

How so? (First off this is an average, breakdowns below.) A bar girl charges say $90 for a short time (30 minutes), plus $20 for the room. An escort charges $120 for an hour, MSOG, plus the $20 for the room, and $20 for taxi to the hotel (usually La Mansion, or Premier). Bar girl = $110 per 30 minutes, per pop. 2 pops one hour = $220. Escort = $160 an hour, MSOG

Multiple escort sites charging $100 - $125 per hour, usually with discount for second hour.

$20 taxi based on $10 per trip to and from La Mansion or Premier to Zona Norte or border.

I realize there are many other factors that can involve the cost breakdown, but they up and down for both sides. And this calculation requires that yo

u can "recharge" and get off at least every 30 minutes or less.

But in general I think the services provided by most escorts (BBBJ, DFK, DATY) and the fact that most are a lot better looking than your average bar girl vastly outweighs things in their favor. (Most web sites do not show the escort faces, but if you ask they will send you a picture.) Arranging for them is rather easy.
And any "extra" (CIM, Greek) charges are about the same for bar girls or escorts. (Some escorts will do them for the base cost.).

La Mansion and Premier rooms are way better than the short time rooms for either bar. Both have free WiFi so you can verify your escort and tell her what room you are in

My suggestion really is this. Stay and party in Zona Norte, but what I suggest is that you book an escort for the afternoon or early evening when the pickings there are rather slim. Take a short taxi ride and spend an hour or two with an escort. After that go back and party in Zona Norte. Most escort services end with the girls going out at 10 PM so if you want another taste you can probably arrange it. They usually only need an hour notice. Youmight fall in love with the experience and even end up booking them for an overnight. (Usually $400 - $500 from 9 PM - 6 AM).

Anyway that's my two cents. Since I don't go down to Tijuana very often, I usually get a room at Cascades, then get an escort for the afternoon and another in the early evening. Then at night, when there is a lot better talent working Zona Norte, I spend the rest of the time partying there.
