Returning to the US $200 per night hotel suite was posponed as Meat Loaf entered this location again.

In Spain they speak Castellano. Mexicans that are trying to be Spanish, even though they have a big Azteca nose, will try to speak Castellano as to claim Spanish lineage. In Argentina they pronounce is "Castechano."

In Argentina the "ll" is pronounced "ch".

In Portuguese from Brasil the "ch" sound is prevalent.

So, I wonder if Argentina only having 40 million residents and Brasil having 200 the influence. I wonder if Brasilian Portuguese has influence Argentine Spanish.

I have been speaking Spanish & Portuguese mixed in Argentina.

For example, Argentina will say, "chama me" which is "chama eu" in Portuguese.

I use voce, usted, "ch", agorra, nao, sim, and other Portuguese words not on purpose but my mind is being converted back to Spanish after 1-month in Brasil speaking Portuguese. Some people switch over to Portuguese when they hear Portuguese words.

It is fun playing with languages and I can only imagine how much better life will get as more fluency is gained.

People get surprised that I speak Spanish at the highest level. I hate when people ask where I am from 'cause I do everything possible not to say the USA, but they are smart in Argentina. They ask where you were born?

Spanish and Italian Race: I don't remember which country Columbus was from and which country he sailed for, but they know and claim it in Argentina.

Doing business in Latin America involves a larger sum of money and corruption throughout the chain of command. Expect to be a victim of theft in this arena too. The challenge is to limit the amount of "slippage."

For example, if you trade any New York Mercantile Exchange product (ie. coffee, gold, silver, heating oil, crude oil) they will rob you too for about US $100 per contract. Accept it for that is the price of each transaction.

Extrapolate that theft into Latin America and it is several thousands or hundred of thousands of dollars!

The challenge is to keep the "slippage" or theft as minimum as possible for (a) person, (b) property, and (c) business investment. Hence, you better have a "real: business model and not some nonsense as to enable yourself to recuperate the "slippage."

Slippage = Cost of Doing Business.

Being a Gringo only makes it worse for others before were eaten as carne molida and how you appear to follow their footsteps and clean up their mess.

Theft is the way of life in Latin America: Theft is the way of life in the USA except Gringos were the thieves and the victims were / are ethnic minorities.
