    Lewis Grand Hotel

I am visiting AC next week and had a mix up with hotel booking, resulting in needing a last minute deal. I had booked CPT for 8 nights but they could only offer Crown Executive room for 5 nights of the stay and its 5500 P.S. Per night, which is outside my room budget. Looking around I found on Agoda that they are offering various LGH rooms at really low prices, with the cheapest under 2500 P.S. Per night (plus tax about 12%) and I ended up booking their Grand Suite for 5 nights at just 3100 per night total including taxes.

Just wonder if anyone knows why this would be so cheap, for what must be one of the best hotels in AC? Anyway I'm looking forward to trying it out, there will be reports!

    Safe hotels suitable for threesome

    Hello,

Which hotels would you recommend that is safe (the front desk calls you when the girl leaves) and suitable for threesome action and more.

I have stayed in Fields Plaza Suites and ABC Hotel, what about other recommendations?

    Thank you!

Sound advice. I made the initial reservation for my next Nov / Dec visit through Agoda. Email to the hotel got me a 10 percent cash discount on a stay of less than two weeks. After confirmation I canceled the Agoda reservation.

Competitive to what? Western city prices?

My current place costs me <USD20 per night. Most places will discount for a monthly booking.

    Good accommodations are tight

Things are going well for some in AC.

Kandi Suites and the Kandi group properties Nothing available until late November.

The Hilltop Inn seems to be a very suitable short time hotel.

I've stayed at a few others and they really are run on a shoestring.

The Hilltop had clean sheets, toothbrushes and soap. Working wifi and good security. I liked being able to drive into the garages.

Anyone stayed at Rishan Village Residences

    Hi,

Just read some good reports regarding "Rishan Village Residences". Anyone has stayed there?

    La Teresita

    La Teresita.

Stayed in Deluxe room at 1300 php per day.

    Have all the basic requisites.

Coffee maker, all toiletries, 2 complimentary water bottle.

Have a good clean pool, but they close down at 8 pm.

    Good staff.

    Good Room.

    Moderate AC in the room.

Have the call into room when visitor leaving and arriving. Have a good doorman who is armed and always cheerfull.

They don't accept cards either and that's a big minus.

The path leading to hotel is a bit dark and seems like the kids are troublesome lots.

    Would repeat the stay.

Hotel America (no relation to the Captain America franchise)

Rooms for 1700 includes one breakfast. Big comfy beds. Small windows, which is a negative for me. Even the roadside rooms are reasonably quiet. Hotel has a pool.

It's probably been twenty years since I first stayed at this place. The quality and service have always been spotty. Back in the day I loved the big balcony rooms over the pool. The pool never seemed to close. At night there would be bar girls going for a swim wearing only their underclothes.

The new "rainbow" tower was completed years ago, but the rooms (in the old building) around the pool are still a work in progress. I'm guessing they will be open by the holidays. The pool is open. Only one elevator.

Unique service at this hotel is the 24 hour turnaround. I had a late flight into Clark which was delayed until it became a very early flight. With a 2 am check in I knew where to go. Hotel America! With a 2 am check-in you need not check out until 2 am the next day. I did transfer the next day, but there was no rush.

This is one of the few hotels in AC that include breakfast in the room rate. There were only three errors in my breakfast. I asked for a Filipino breakfast with tocino, eggs over easy, and tea. First they served instant coffee, which I sent back. When the food came I was too hungry to make another complaint. Sausage instead of tocino; eggs sunnyside up instead of over easy. But I recommend trying to overlook the poor service. I've long had a suspicion that they are treated poorly by the management.

To sum up, this hotel is far from perfect. Nevertheless, 1700 for a newish, decently sized room in a hotel with a pool is pretty good value. X Man.

Just got back from a 2 week stay again at the Central Park Tower Resort. I can honestly still say if you are looking for a high quality at a good price without paying super high prices, this hotel cannot be beat in terms of location, overall value, and quality of rooms. Their basic rooms start at 3300 pesos per night, which is about $65 USA Dollars and if you pay in pesos (or cash as they say, not credit card) they will give you a 10% discount off your total stay. I always take advantage of this cash discount which is a nice perk. The location is phenomenal and it is positioned right behind Fields Avenue, and Atlantis, Dollhouse, Crystal Palace, Lollipop, and Tropix Bar are all no more than 100 meters away. So, it is so convenient to be near Fields Avenue and have quick assess to bars and restaurants such as Tequila Reef and Kokomo's.

Management and the staff at the front desk never said no to any of my requests, and were very timely when I asked for extra towels, or any other basic request I had. The staff are very friendly and there are always doorman at the front that open the door for you which is a nice touch. They also act as security on the property. The view on the rooftop is excellent and it has an awesome infinity pool with a decent restaurant. Girls love it when you take them up there for a twilight drink, meal, or swim during the day. The rooms are well done with marble showers, floors, nice beds, and well appointed. They do have some rooms that are upgraded but in my opinion the standard room is more than sufficient. All rooms have a jacuzzi in the bathroom which is a nice feature. This hotel is always super booked, and they are building an entire new wing as an addition to the hotel to accommodate the extra demand so that speaks for itself.

If you want to book, I recommend booking on their website which is cpangeles.com Their rates with the discount are the same or lower than you will find at any of the hotel specific websites. Also, when booking direct with them, if you have to change dates such as shortening or lengthening your stay, they do not penalize you nor force you to stay the duration.
I have been staying here twice a year for the last 4 years. Central Park is a very nice hotel and the staff is always very helpful. Housekeeping is very friendly and help anyway they can. The restaurant staff is very nice. In fact I will be there next on the 17th.

The hotel gives these sites a bulk discount because the hotel loves to have rooms already sold, even if they turn out not to be occupied. In fact, it is better for them to be sold but not occupied (no housekeeping). Third parties used to (maybe they still do) buy airline seats in bulk for a discount and then resell them. The prices they charged per seat were set by the number of seats they still had to sell.
A friend of mine owns a hotel. Online hotel websites do not buy the rental rooms. However they are allocated certain number of rooms to sell. This is why when search websites some of them say all sold out and at the same time others still show rooms left. This is part of the contract hotel owners sign. There is a time limit for the websites to sell the rooms. If not sold the hotel can sell those rooms. Websites do get a commission for selling the rooms. There is where low prices on the websites come from. They are willing to take less commission by virtue of volumes they sell. Hotels will stick to the original price but if somebody walks in or calls on that day you need the room they are willing to reduce their rates. This also depends on number of nites. For us we would like to have a guaranteed hotel room before we arrive but I have seen many mongers walk in and ask for rooms. It may be because they are not happy where they are or to escape from a certain girl.

Best thing to do is book a room. There is no penalty if you cancel before arrival if you can find better options. There is nothing worse than running around with your bags in hot weather looking for rooms. If you have a rental car you can go around and see. I have done this in many countries except Philippines and Thail where I do not dare rent a car.
