Queens has been giving the cash discount through end of year, see if they extend. Too many different room types for such a small hotel, a bit confusing. As for minor detail, hot water in largest rooms (ones with both shower and tub) is not reliable. Top floor lounge 'living room' is nice.

Central Park Hotel (CPH) and Queens

Earlier this month I stayed at both these hotels. I've already done a review w / pics of Queens. Probably in August if anyone wants to go back that far. Their top-notch Italian restaurant seems to be on the verge of moving out. The space if for lease. I really like the rooftop lounge. Nice and quiet with sofas. Pool was a bit disappointing since the Pool Man seemed to be in hiding. At midday, the prime tables did not have their umbrellas attached. I found a shady corner but there was a layer of dust on the table. Quibble, quibble.

Queens was about P3,100, while CPH with a larger room and larger bathroom was 2,500.

I really want to like CPH, but there are so many things wrong. The positive first. Great rooftop hangout area with an infinity pool (smallish). Food isn't great, but it is really nice. The indoor restaurant isn't open yet. The rooms are good value for the current price.

Problems? Unorganized reception. I had problems coming in and going out. A bathroom fixture that kept falling off. Slow elevators.

I have some pictures somewhere. I'll add them later. X.

I believe I have the correct one below and if correct, it is named Central Park Tower Resort formally now. I did not see anything about prices going up to 4000 later on. I don't know if they can get up there in price and keep it close to full at that price. I guess time will tell. I am a big fan of Guy and Roselle, but thinking they'd rather be close to maximum occupancy.

    To Key Master.

I think you are right 4000 p is too high for 2500-2700 p is about the right price the roof top pool is nice much better than the little bath tub at the old Central park, this is a very good locations if they raise the price to 4000 p don't think I will stay there with the Pacific breeze just around the corner.

I am eternally grateful for your helpful advice.

I stayed at the Queens during my last trip in October. Being fairly new, there was no signs of wear and tear. I did not go to the pool as it rained on and off during my stay. I liked the large shower, large bed, and good wifi connection. There is also a small gym that I used a few times. The location is very convenient to walking street. So I never had to hire a trike. They have discounts for multiple night stays with cash payments. I should be returning to Angeles either end of Feb or beginning of March. Good chance I'll be staying at the Queens again or maybe the new Central Park tower.

Two room types available. 2500 and 2700 soft opening price. Small price difference no brainer to go for the more expensive. Bigger bath, corner unit. Note 'Penthouse View' is view of the wall of the Penthouse Hotel next door. Other side nice view overlooking Orchid pool. Rooms above 8th floor weren't open yet as of last week. When everything complete open prices will be something like 4000. Restaurant was hit or miss, but still better in a town where most food places are inedible. Besides its close to the Queen's Hotel and their Italian restaurant, for us best restaurant in AC and very reasonable.

Watched the Pacman fight at the rooftop bar and snapped a picture of the pool.

Hu? Doubt I ever paid more than 1000 pesos for a room; certainly never more than 1200 pesos. The gals favorite hotel is where I am staying at. Period. Also, there is something pretty disturbing of the frame needing to spend $100 or better just to impress some w*e.
