i think there's a middle ground here. i always treat the girls well, i love the fact that they can create a wonderful illusion for an evening. on my first visit to rio i almost immediately fell for one termas girl and spent a good deal of time (too much time) with her, but she was the archetype of the hot blond that had teased me for so many years in the us at the strip clubs and on mtv and now she was mine damn it! i would marvel at her perfect body as she walked into the bathroom naked in the morning, the sunlight dancing off her smooth skin and perfectly round bunda. i ignored the fact that she was doing, by her own count, at least 5 guys a day. she was cute but very much the quintissential "take the gringo for what you can" type and i was as green as they came. luckily, i didn't spend any stupid money on her, and after a week i realized that this was all just an illusion -began to figure things out and get over the "bunda flash" of my first visit.

on my next two visits i would secretely hold on to the dream of meeting the perfect sex companion who might be my super hot brazilian girlfriend too. the hooker with the heart of gold. while on the outside i would tell people not to ever fall for a hooker (i mongered extensively in the us and tijuana prior to rio so i know the deal) i was really a hypocrite, barely admitting to myself that on each trip i was auditioning girls for the role of my future hot brazilian girlfriend. on my next two trips i had a great time, did tons of girls, wondering with each if she might be the one. i would develop crushes on certain ones and stay in touch, repeat, balance them against others in the same termas...learning the ropes.

i was generally looking for the girl who had the combination of great body (by my standards) great in bed and yet not jaded or hardcore -you know, the one that maintained her small town good nature, the girl with the good heart who just fell into this because of hardship but would stop as soon as she could. you know, the one we all hope exists but in reality does not!

i realized that it was best to do this not in serial but in parallel so that i could most quickly find my one. i would have several little things going on during one trip while seeing tons of other girls as part of the auditioning process. i was barely aware on a concious level i was doing this. i knew better than to fall for a hooker, so on the outside i was just having fun, but what made it the most intriguing for me was the hope of finding the one. that, in reality is what kept me going down there.

i did four trips in less than a year in this mode. i found many girls who might qualify as the one, but as i got to know each a little better, taking them out socially for dinners or to a concert it became readily apparent that these girls were able to put on a good illusion in a termas or for an evening in bed but under the greater scrutiny of social situations, they could not keep it up. despite the language and cultural barriers (i speak enough hack portuguese to get through a dinner and keep them laughing) i began to see the wizard behind the curtain pulling the levers of each of these ladies. that little flaw in all of them that made them decide to become hookers instead of be good girls and work in the local clothing store for less money always revealed itself. that doesn't mean i didn't appreciate them or still like them as a fun sex companion, but i realized that's as far as it could and should go.

during all this i would talk to other mongers who would tell me of relationships they had, or knew of others who had with these girls. it was always the same. it might last even a few years. the guy might even give her a ring. usually the girl was still banging guys on the side. always it ended. always the guy was out some good cash. the skeletons and remains of many others who went before me were rep001tered all over rio. i experienced this first hand when i was in bed with a girl when her us poor sucker "boyfriend" called her. he had given her a ring even! i had known her for a few trips and we had a little crush going. after a few drinks and a good lay together she was begging me to give her a ring, saying she didn't love this guy and would rather go to the us with me (until she found the bigger better deal in the us, of course).

by my fourth trip, 8 months after my first, i could finally see through the "bunda flash." the last girl who i thought might be the one, ended in yet another burst bubble. she was a hold over from my third trip, she had been in playboy, she was great in bed, we stayed in touch until i visited for my fourth trip. within a day of seeing her again, i saw through it all and realized i was quickly on my way to becoming just another gringo skeleton in the great cave of illusion that is rio.

i spent the rest of my trip enjoying many girls, having awsome rio sex, but this time with less magic. without the hope that maybe one of these might turn into something it was just a series of rollercoaster rides. fun for the ride, but nothing more in the grander scheme of things.

i appreciate these girls and treat them well, as i do in general with people i encounter. i like to see the girls laugh, be happy around me, enjoy themselves. it creates a positive situation from which everyone benefits.

but, there's a big difference between showing appreciation for a waitress who delivers a good meal and falling in love her because of it!

i hope exec talent and others with similar viewpoints are aware of this distinction.

The more you learn the more you realize you don't know. What is a NORMAL women? Are you speaking of all the women guys marry and trust, only to be taken to the bank in the end and left holding their dicks? I have been to Rio many times and have trusted women who are prostitutes, hooker, hoes, ***** or however you chose to refer to them. Had I not done so there are many things I would not have experienced. Was it blind trust? No, there was something I sensed about the women, which allowed me to put my life in her hands and get on the subway, bus or in a cab and travel to a place I had never been and knew nothing about. I treat them with the same respect, I treat ANY woman. Do I believe everything they say? No, but as ET expressed, there is no need to treat or view them as something less than human.

Also keep in mind, the experiences I am referring too, were with women who were not charging me for their company, although I am keenly aware they could have been somewhere else laying on their backs making money, so the theory that it's all about money is out the door. Simply put the Rio experience is unique to the individual.

As Lorenzo stated "For sheer variety of the women available, their physical attractiveness, their enthusiasm and vibrant personalities, and their sexual skills, Brazilian women just can't be matched". If you treat them well they will in my experience respond in kind.

Here is a challenge for ALL. Go to the photo section of other countries. Here is what you will notice without a doubt. Many women are not smiling, if you can see their face at all. In the Brazilian photo section you will notice the women smiling. They actually like men! Imagine THAT!

I believe what you say, only because I have experienced it myself on many occasions. On my first trip to Rio in Dec. 2004, I met a gal in (or ho, lol) Monte Carlo, we spoke for couple of hrs., she came to my apartment after midnight, once she left work straight to my apartment. Had a great night, did not even hint about cash. We still email each other every so often. Same thing happenned in June, but at Luomo's. I spent hrs. in there with a gal from Salvador, conversing, and watching the soccer match between Brazil and Argentina(what a blast) while she sat on my lap, then after work, I waited for her at my place, spent the entire night and day, not a penny (or a trip to Rio Sul either).

This past November, samething, different chick, in fact she payed for my lunch the next day. We hung out for a few days together. No $. Yes, I did take her to dinner and luch, but thats it. Have kept in touch, and no weasel type emails asking for $ cause an illness in the family. Plus a couple of other similar cases. Why does this occur? When these situations arise with those kind of girls, its not often, because the reality is they work for a living, there not looking for a boyfriend, or the chemistry is not there, are they don't find you attractive, and many other reasons. But why would I care, I do not take it personally, I am just paying for a service, and move on.
