Hey, it's Rio!!! Everything is possible. I know two girls who would do this with you and your bud, if you can live with this happening during the daytime. I will testdrive this dupla. Especially if one or more of you speak Portugese, your task should be very simple at Help. When I've done it, the girls have asked for a little more money, but, particularly this time of year, shouldn't be too stringent.
At the termas, there is no extra charge for two couples sharing a room. You just need to make sure the girls are up for the program. Ambiguity causes problems in such situations.
Work hard to find the right girls. Sometimes, I think competitors are better than friends. Friends sometimes police each other while competitors outperform.

Still seeking advice
My friends and I leave in less than a week for Rio. One of my friends will be sharing a two bedroom apartment with me. We have heard that just about anything is possible in Rio/Ipanema so this is what we would like to do. Both of us would like to have a lady (or two) spend the night. Halfway through the night we would like to switch dates. I have read where the Brazilian ladies can be very possessive and may not feel comfortable knowing another lady is now with the guy she was with earlier.
Have any of you had any experience along these lines? If so, is there a good agency, etc that you can recommend for this type arrangement? Also, about what should we expect to pay? (Yes, one of our friends speaks the language perfectly.)

Personally I never tried these dating-sites, but a friend of mine used match.com. He put just about an perfect add with everything the women wanted to hear. During three months he got hundreds of answers from brazilian women from all over Brazil. He choosed the most interesting girls and kept contact with them. If you only will go to Rio, forget about the net-dating. With certainty you would just meet pro's. If you'll travel around Brazil, net-date girls in Manaus, Rio Branco and other cities off the beaten track. They propably won't speak English, but still you have a bigger chance to get laid for "free".

Foxeshunter also posted the same question in the Medellin reports section. Buddy, if you can't meet regular girls (non-pros) in Medellin, there is no hope for you. Cause the nightlife is excellent for meeting regular women. No need for a website.
Curious, do you speak Portuguese or spanish? Or you going to Colombia or Brasil?

Japanes room
If you walk all the way to the end of the corridor that leads to all the rooms, you will find the Japanese room behind the second-to-last door on the right. RANDOM: BRAZIL DAY in NYC...
Since last year I have been on a brazil kick (lets face it, the women pulled me in) but the culture seems just as interesting. Brazil Day is this sunday, Sept. 3rd and I was wondering if anyone with experience (both in Brazil and on Brazil day in NYC) could share some thoughts on if this is a good day to do some mongering on non-pro chicks in NYC. I'm hoping that they are going to look similar to those in Rio (never been, in the process of planning) but I have never been to either. Any thoughts?

How come that so many guys always seem to assume that as long as they meet a girl on Amigos.com, Cybercupido.com, Orkut.com or whatever site people are using to meet people over the net, that makes her a non-pro PER SE? Is there something in the Brazilian constitution that prevents hookers from accessing the net and only ply their trade on the streets or in the termas? Does it make a difference? No, it doesn't.
Remember: she looks like a GDP, talks like a GDP, acts like a GDP... chances are she IS a GDP. Whether you meet her at Help or on the Net.
Like Nodd N mentioned, there are "too many guys visiting Rio that think that every female in Rio will simply drop and spread those legs for anyone..." This is spot on. A while ago, I read some travel logs by guys that went to Rio, bragging about all the freebies they picked up at Help and Barbarella (Barbarella, of all places!) I guess that after such a dose of daily affirmation as A males, those guys just must have forgotten to mention the cachę in the morning. But real studs are to be forgiven such minor omissions, right? But seriously, thereīs a lot of BS out there. Get your reality check here at the board.
FoxesHunter: if you even need to ask which sites, I assume you don't speak any Portuguese, otherwise you would know already. Your project is hopeless and a complete waste of time. Even more hopeless as the only girls you will likely find are GDPs posing as "regular" girls looking for gullible gringos. But hey... you might wanna fly down to Rio just on the off chance that you will get lucky. Shit happens.
If you decide to line up alleged non-pros via the Internet in hope of "freebies" before traveling to Brazil, screen them. Thatīs what I do.
1) To meet a fair selection of non-pros in Brazil, whether in real life or on the net, Portuguese is CRUCIAL. You will be surprised how few people speak English outside of the tourist areas... even college-educated, middle-class brasileiras. I am saying this as someone who has been talking to Brazilians on the net for years and spent 5+ months living in the Rio countryside, in a small town of about 60K people. At the hospital where my son was born, not a single doctor spoke a word of English. Just to give you an idea.
2) If she speaks English, where did she learn it? If she claims to be a English literature professor in college, fine, as long as she has the general education to go with it. If she is a jobless nanny and speaks English fairly well, well, chances are she learnt it on her back.
3) How much time does she spend on the net? Someone claiming to be a student, but connected all the time chatting means that she doesnīt really do anything and is really looking for a foreign BF to resolve all her problems.
4) Does she constantly complain about financial difficulties? Does she claim to be a single Mom who is receiving no financial assistance by the father(s) of her child(ren)?
5) Does she ask you for money for alleged "emergencies"? How does she react when you politely turn her down?
6) Does she somehow, directly or indirectly, offer some sexual favors in exchange for lending her a helping hand financially?
7) A girl that seems to know little about anything, but is very familiar with Western Union procedures or other ways to receive money is... well...
In other words, with alleged "regular" Internet girls, caveat emptor applies, too. Believe me, if you come across as someone looking for a regular girl in Brazil, whether in real life or on the net, there is no shortage of "pros" who are more than willing (and experienced) to pretend that they are just what you are looking for. And in the end, you might be buying much more than just her stories.
Outside of the termas, there are really no "pros" and "non-pros". Only shades of gray in between.
